Bunny has a carrot

A card with a bunny image:

The card is for the following challenges:
Brown Sugar Challenge - Bunnies
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-39-bunnies.html
The Outlawz Challenges - Sketch
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/sketchchallenge/forum/topics/wednesday-sketch-challenge-24-april-13

I coloured some strips of paper with copic markers to create some ribbons.  As I didn't bring my ribbon supplies with me on holiday I have had to be a bit more creative!  I am not sure as to the source of this image - my files are at home so I can't check.  I have also added some silver glitter domes.

Pretty Yellow Roses

A nice bright spring colour scheme for this card:

The card is for the following challenges:
Beccy's Place - Floral Images
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/april-challenge.html

The card uses a background paper from a matstack by DCWV called Lemon Flowers.  The matting is yellow cardstock.  The image that I have used comes from Beccy's Place and has been coloured with copic markers.  The roses are white ribbon roses that I coloured with copic marker Y08.  I have placed two ribbons across the card - the underneath one is a lime coloured organza ribbon and the narrow one on the top is a satin ribbon.  I added some rhinestones as embellishments.

Owl Card

Everywhere I look at the moment, I see owls so I was sure to be inspired to use an owl image!

This card is for the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch
http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/sweet-sketch-wednesday-sketch-203-44.html

For the background, I have used a paper from a paper pad by MME called Cowboy.  The matting is brown cardstock from Rosies Studio.  I'm away from home and can't be 100 per cent sure on the source of this image, but I think it may be from A Creative Need.

The embellishments are gold glitter domes.

Satuday in the Park

A collaged type card:

This card is for the following challenges:
Nutcrafters - Anything Goes
http://nutcrafters.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-41anything-goes.html

I have used two images from Nutcrafters to create this card.  Although they don't seem to be designed to go together, I saw them as a perfect fit.  I am really pleased with how well this card turned out.

I have used a combination of watercolour pencils and copic markers for the colouring of this card.  the background paper fitted well with this image so I have just added a few rhinestones as embellishments.

I have used some glitter cardstock as the basse for this card.  The bauble is a die from Memory Box which I have cust from JAC paper and then applied gold glitter to.  I have also added three gold glitter balls to the corners of the black cardstock.

You are a Jewel

This cute image really worked well on this card:

This card is for the following challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy - Use circles
http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/use-circles-on-your-creation-challenge.html

I have used a background paper made up of circles.  The image from Whoopsi Daisy has been cut using a circle die from Spellbinders.  I have also added some circular gems to the sentiment.  I think the sentiment is from Create with TLC but I may be wrong - I'm away from home with sentiments and images I printed off before I left.  Unfortunately, didn't write the sources on the backs and the laptop doesn't have the source files on it!

Earth Day Card

Cupcake Craft - Monochromatic
http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/cupcake-239-monochromatic.html

My Mum bought me a 12x12 paper pad that has gorgeous papers in a lemon and grey/black coloru scheme.  Some of them are glittery.  I used a number of those papers for the various layers in the sketch.  I have matted each layer with black cardstock.  The image is from Sassy Studio Designs.  I sponged the mage with Distress Ink and then add a little colour with copic markers.  I then added some Glossy Accents to all the water to get the water a wet look.

The card uses a paper from DIY and Digital Designs as a background.  The JOY is a die-cut from Memory Box which I have cut from green glitter cardstock from a matstack by DCWV and then mounted onto white cardstock.  I added a bit of crystallina Kindy Glitz around the outside to give it more definition.  The green glitter buttons are some I purchased recently from a christmas stock clearance bin!

Fly Butterfly

Butterflies and orange are a wonderful combination for me:

This card is for the following challenges:

http://www.thealleywaystamps.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/re-be-inspired-26.html
PINspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/pinspirational-challenge-54.html

The background paper comes from a matstack by DCWV called Mariposa Matstack.  Full of gorgeous and glittery butterfly themed papers!  The image and sentiment come from The Alley Way Stamps.  I have blinged up the card with the use of gems throughout.

Christmas Stocking

I let the image dominate this card!

The card is for the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Christmas Stockings
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/christmas-stockings.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/

The card uses background papers from a christmas paper pad by MME.  I think the image is from May Brit but can't be 100 per cent sure.  I am currently away from home without my computer files.  I printed out and die-cut a few images that I thought I might want to work with while I was away.  The sensible thing would have been to write the sources on the back - however, I didn't think of that then!!!

The image is coloured with copic markers BV02, BV000, R27, G17, G14 and has been die-cut using a Spellbinders die-cut.  The sentiment is from Netty's Cards.

http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-156-recycle.html

http://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-153-caroles-sketch.html
Digital Tuesday - Birthday
http://digitaltuesdaychallenge.blogspot.co.nz/

I have used a couple of papers from a paper pad with a more victorian feel to them.  The sweet tutu image comes from Meljens Designs.  The cord used comes from a perfume set - was used to tie the set together.  The sentiment is from Sans Designs.  I've added three small pink pearls to the image.

The layout is based on the sketch for the Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge.

A nice cheerful flowery Get Well card to make someone feel better:

Pretty Spring Lamb

I used this image before with a softer colour scheme - this time I've gone with bright.

This card is for the following challenges:
Shelly's Images - May Flowers
http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/ttt-challenge-april-showers-bring-may.html
CRAFT Challenge - Saskia's Sketch

Love to Create - BINGO
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-62-bingo-card-challenge.html

I have used a Kate Knight paper for the background of this card.  The image is one from Shelly's Images called Spring Lamb.  The sentiment comes from Sans Designs.  The ribbon is a Glitter Tape from American Crafts.  The flower was a plain white ribbon flower which I have added colour to with a copic marker RV14.

My BINGO line is Flowers - Die-cut - Ribbon

The layout is following the sketch by Saskia for the CRAFT Challenge - link above.

Bella and Skipper

Bella and Skipper is the name of the image from Imagine That.

The card is for the following challenges:
Imagine That Progressive Challenge
http://imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/freebie-challenge-5.html
CRAFT Challenge - Saskia's Sketch
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/challenge-203-18th-of-april-sketch.html

I have used some background paper from a paper pad by MME.  This is actually one sheet with the strip on the left being the reverse side of the blue crackle effect.  The image is the one provided for the Imagine That Progressive Challenge and has been coloured using copic markers.  Once again, I didn't write down the colours although I remember using B05 and B02 for the dungarees and I think it was the following colours as well YG23 (frog) E18 and E15 (hair) E00 (skin) and the rest would be a total guess.  The sentiment I have added comes from Sans Designs which I inked over with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.  The flower piece had dropped on the floor yesterday and had sat there since.  Thought I better do something with it before it got lost!  I coloured it with copic marker B05 and then added some gold glitter to the centre and topped it off with a white pearl.  Really pleased with how the flower came out.

Coffee Break

A card without an image this time:

This card is for the following challenges:
PINspirational Challenges - Photo Inspiration
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/pinspirational-challenge-53.html
Delightful Inspration - From The Heart - Sketch 15
http://designed2delight.com/blog/2013/04/i-heart-card-sketches-no-15/

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew what I wanted to create with it.   I have kept this fairly CAS.  I have used cardstock to create the border strips.  The sentiment is from Sans Designs.  I'm not sure where I got the main image/sentiment from and I'm away from home without my files so can't check either!  I printed and die-cut a few things before I left home but didn't think to record whose they were so if anyone recognises it please leave me a comment and I'll update the post.  The flower I have made from some metallic paper and a Marianne's Designs die..

Funshiney Day

I have tried a different folding technique for this fancy folds card.
And this is the card folded:

The card is for the following challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs - Dare To Be Sassy Thursday
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/dare-to-be-sassy-thursday-173.html
Kaboodle Doodles - Spring
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-168-spring.html

I saw a card somewhere when I was browsing the internet but it didn't have a template for it.  Not to be thwarted I played around with measurements until I got something vaguely resembling what I saw.

I have used some paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles for the background for this card.   The image is Polka Dot Bikini from Sassy Studio Designs which I decided to fussy cut for this card.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC and I have adorned it with some ribbon roses which I coloured up with copic marker Y02.

Okay, the image may be a bit of a push for spring!  Certainly here, bikinis and spring don't mix.  But...the paper is a spring themed one and there are some flowers there.  Hope it is spring enough for the Kaboodles Challenge!

Christmas Bells

Another christmas card created:

This card is for the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch 202
http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.nz/
Lady Anne's Progressive Christmas Challenge - #4
http://www.ladyanneschallenges.com/6/post/2013/04/christmas-progressive-challenge-4.html
CHNC - Christmas Red and Green must be seen
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-121-red-and-green-must.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-extra-for-april.html

The sketch that I have followed is this one:

I have used three papers from a christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft and some green cardstock for matting.  The green trees and green diagonal stripe papers I die-cut with a Spellbinders square die.  The image has been die-cut using a Spellbinders Oval scallop die.  The ribbon is from a christmas themed pack of ribbons by American Crafts.  The tree is an embellishment I've had for some time in a container.  I added some red pearls to the tree as baubles.

The image that I have used for this card comes from Priscilla Sparks.  It is the image supplied to Lady Anne for her Progressive Christmas Challenge #4.  As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the image that I wanted to use with this sketch, so for this challenge I'm really organised!  The copic colours I have used for colouring are R29, R02, G17 and G14.

Golden Flower

A very golden look to this card:

The card is for the following challenges:
Tuesday Alchemy - Garden Gold
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/04/challenge-54-garden-gold.html

I have used alot of gold in this card - gold cardstock, gold Glitter Tape, gold glitter cardstock (DCWV) for cutting out the die-cuts and some glitter gold buttons.  The die-cuts are Spellbinders (scallop circle) and Memory Box (swirl).  The image is from A Day for Daisies and is coloured with copic markers.

This is my final card to enter into the Tuesday Alchemy Challenge as this is the final time the challenge is being held.  I have enjoyed participating in this challenge since I found it via another blog (I think it was Naomi Edwards blog).  My favourite challenge during the time that I have been doing these challenges was the random words one - really a challenge at times but satisfying all the same.

Coffee and Scrabble

Another card with a bit more of a masculine feel to it:

This card is for the following challenges:
PINspirational Challenges - Photo Inspiration
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/pinspirational-challenge-53.html

I have used a background paper from Create with TLC for this card.  The image is one from Anji's Antics.  The sentiment is a digital stamp but I can't find the source of it at the moment.  The ribbon is a grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.  Matting is kraft cardstock from Rosies Studio.

Hulkbeth

I usually forget to include the sketch for this challenge in my blog post which I see in the challenge is a requirement!  So, I'm going to add it at the start:

This is the card that I have created for this challenge:

I have more or less followed the sketch as it is with few alterations.

The card is for the following challenges:
Delightful Inspirations from the Heart - Sketch 14
http://designed2delight.com/blog/2013/04/i-heart-card-sketches-no-14/
Milk Coffee - Welcome Spring
http://milkcoffeechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/welcome-spring-challenge.html

The main background paper is some from Create with TLC.  The yellow piece is die-cut using a Spellbinders die from a paper pad by MME.  The image is from Milk Coffee and is called Hulkbeth.  I've actually wanted to use this image on a card for a while but just haven't been able to get it to work for me.  This time, I'm more than happy with the results.  I've matted both the image and the yellow piece with metallic paper.  The flower I've added comes from my stash and I have embellished it with a bit of blue bling.  The ribbons are a purple organza ribbon and a yellow satin ribbon.  Despite being two different textures they worked well together.

You're A Fun Guy

A masculine colour scheme for this one.  When I recently tried to find a card amongst my stash for my brother's birthday I realised I was lacking masculine cards!

This card is for the following challenges:
Love to Create - For the Guys
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-61-for-guys.html
CRAFT Challenge - Saskia's Sketch
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/challenge-203-18th-of-april-sketch.html
My PaperCrafting World - Digi Desserts Fridaze
http://mypapercrafting.com/search/label/Digi%20Desserts%20Fridaze

The main background paper plus the strip on the left hand side are both from paper pads by MME.  The olive ribbon is a grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.  The image is from My PaperCrafting World.  The button is another of the ones I raided from my Mum's button box last year (with her permission of course!).  The birthday sentiment is from a sheet of chipboard die-cuts that I have had for absolute ages with the intention of using but up to now hadn't!

I'm pleased to say I now have a masculine card in my stash but I probably still need to add more!

Cute and Cuddly for Christmas

How's that for a bit of alliteration to start the day!

This card is for the challenges at:
Incy Wincy - Fur or Feathers
http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/fur-or-feathers.html
Cupcake Craft - Cute and Cuddly
http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/cupcake-238-cute-and-cuddly.html
CHNC - Red and Green to be Seen
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-121-red-and-green-must.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-extra-for-april.html

The card uses some nice bright cheerful paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Sliekje Digital Stamps. I didn't make a note of the colours I used on this one - was colouring it in the car while waiting for my son and just picking up markers and then putting them back in the container!!  I added a star to the image for a bit of dimension and just coz that space looked like it needed something extra.  The bells are some that were in my stash - not sure where I got them from or even how long I've had them.  The sentiment is from Digi Doodles and I have die-cut this with a Spellbinders Labels die.

Pastel Hummingbird

I am going to add this one to my card stash as a possible Sympathy card.  I recently needed one unexpectedly and had a bit of a struggle for inspiration.  So, this one will be in reserve if I need it (hopefully not!!)

The card is for the following challenges:
Catch the Bug - April BINGO
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/its-time-for-our-april-bingo-challenge.html
Incy Wincy - Fur or Feathers
http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/fur-or-feathers.html

My line for the BINGO is - Pastel Colours, Bugaboo Image, Embossing

The embossing folder that I have used for this card comes from Couture Creations and is called Adagio.  I used some cream cardstock for the embossing.  The image comes from Bugaboo and is called Humming Bird Block.  My daughter picked this one out for me when I was trying to decide between about three images.   I used my pastel coloured copic markers and then added some Glossy Accents to the centres of the flowers.

Guess whoo's wishing you a Happy Birthday

This sentiment was perfect for this image:

The card is for the following challenges:
Tuesday Alchemy - Garden Gold
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/04/challenge-54-garden-gold.html
Incy Wincy - Fur or Feathers
http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/fur-or-feathers.html

The background for this card is some gold cardstock.  The image that I have used comes from LEJ Designs and is coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC and has a border of dots added to it.

Girl with Lantern

This card started off as an experiment that actually worked!

The card is for the following challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy - Not a Square
http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/not-square-creations-challenge.html
CHNC - Red and Green to be Seen
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-121-red-and-green-must.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-extra-for-april.html
QKR Stampede - Punches and Dies
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-35-punches-and-or-dies.html

I was struggling to come up with ideas for a Not A Square card - I could have gone with rectangular but I always do those.  I then decided I would cut the edge of the card with my Spellbinders Edgeabilities.  I've used them to create layers on top of the card before but never actually used them to shape the card.  I found it needed to go through the Big Shot a few times to cut the double layer but other than that it was easy enough to do.  It has created quite a beautiful edge to this card.

The paper that I have used comes from a christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The ribbon is some satin ribbon from American Crafts.  The image is from Whoopsi Daisy - Sheet # 260.  There are four different christmas themed images on this sheet.  I have coloured the image using copic markers E43, Y00, R29 and R27 plus I have added some crystallina Kindy Glitz to the trim and some red pearls to the buttons.  I added another three larger pearls to the top of the card.

Pretty Cow

Living in a country where we see a lot of these cows, I just had to use this image!

The card is for the following challenges:
Kaboodle Doodles - Black and white
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-167-black-white.html
De Creatieve Zebra - card with a beast (at least I think that is the translation!)
http://decreatievezebra.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-15.html
Totally Papercrafts - Monochromatic
http://totallypapercrafts.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-163-monochromatic.html

The card uses a background paper from a matstack by DCWV called Immortal Love.  I have added strips of Glitter Tape by American Crafts for a bit of sparkle.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured using copic markers R000, C1 and 100.  I also added a tiny pearl to the centre of the flower.  The sentiment comes from Sans Designs.

Licorice Lollipop

I haven't had licorice for a while - must be having withdrawal symptoms!  As soon as I saw this lollipop image I wanted to colour it in licorice!

This card is for the following challenges:
Kaboodle Doodles - Black and White
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-167-black-white.html
CRAFT Challenge - Saskia's Sketch
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/challenge-203-18th-of-april-sketch.html
My PaperCrafting World - Anything Goes
http://mypapercrafting.com/search/label/Digi%20Desserts%20Fridaze

I have used a background paper from a matstack by DCWV called Immortal Love.  The lace is some I found in the bottom of a box - not staying there though!!  The image is from My PaperCrafting World and can be found by following the link above.  The bow is crafted from some grosgrain ribbon by American Crafts using my Bow Maker.  I have also added a couple of small strips of Glitter Tape, also from American Crafts.  I only had that small piece of white left on the roll and didn't want to waste it so cut a matching piece of black!  The colouring of the image is with copic markers 100, C7, C3 and C1.  The die-cut is a Spellbinders Oval die.

Spring Flowers

A nice bright cheerful spring card:

This card is for the following challenges:

Digital Tuesday - Springtime
http://digitaltuesdaychallenge.blogspot.se/2013/04/challenge-206-springtime.html

Digi Darla asks the question - how does your garden grow?  At the moment, mine is absolutely full of weeds.  Being sick for the past four weeks it has been ignored somewhat!  So, I decided I would depict how I would like it to grow!

I have used a background paper from MME for this card - I remembered the twist this time for the Outlawz Challenge!  The layout for the card is based upon a sketch by Seems a Little Sketchy.  To fit in with the background of the sketch, I have added some peelcraft border stickers to break the background paper into 5 sections.  I have added a strip of satin ribbon as well as a bow crafted from the same ribbon.  The image is one from Digi Darla simply titled Flowers 3.  I have coloured the image using copic markers and then matted it onto metallic paper.

Flowerbed Fred

Another spring card this time:

Totally Papercrafts - Monochromatic
http://totallypapercrafts.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-163-monochromatic.html

I have used a couple of papers from a matstack by DCWV called Lemon Flowers.  It is a mix of yellows, greens and silvers.  For this card, I used a couple of the green ones.  The matting is green cardstock.  The flowers are white ribbon roses that I have coloured using copic marker G14.  I have also used G14 in the colouring of the image along with some other green copics including G000.

The image that I have used for this card is Flowerbed Fred from Lacy Sunshine and the sentiment comes from Netty's Cards.

Pocket of Flowers

This card evolved a bit from the concept in my head.  I was originally going to add pearls to the centres of the flowers but altered that to on the pocket itself and the sentiment on the paper!

The card is for the following challenges:
Glitter n Sparkle - Stitching - real or not
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-28.html
Platypus Creek - Flowers and pearls
http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-30.html

I found this gorgeous paper in a paper pad by MME which was just perfect for thefeel of this card.  The colours matched perfectly - I had already coloured the image when I decided to go looking for paper.

The image that I have used is from Platypus Creek Digitals.  I have coloured the image using copic markers B05, B00 (I think), R02, R000 plus a couple of greens but can't remember which ones I used (may have been YG17 and YG11 but I'm guessing here!).

The pearls are from Kaisercraft and I have used two different sizes on the pocket and the smallest ones on the sentiment.  The flowers have been crafted using a Marianne's Designs die and some metallic paper.  The matting is some pale blue textured cardstock from DCWV.

Sundae Easel

I tried a new technique for this card:
And this is the inside with the easel in place:

The card is for the following challenges:
Scribbles Designs - Easel or shaped card

Penny's Paper - Use a sentiment

The Outlawz copics Challenge - Food/Cooking
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/copicchallenge/forum/topics/copics-pro-marker-challenge-april-19th-25th

There was a link to an easel template on the Scribbles Designs challenge.  However, I couldn't get the link on the other blog to work and I couldn't see an e-mail address to contact.  So, working off the photos I tried to work out the dimensions myself.  It seemed to work out okay with a bit of tweaking as I was making the card!

I have used some papers from Create with TLC for this card.  The image is from Scribbles with Sandy and coloured with copic markers G02, G000, R27, RV14, RV10, RV06.  I added some red mini pearl to the front of the card as well.  The sentiment on the inside of the card is from Create with TLC.  I also added a pink swirl to the inside for a bit more interest.  I didn't want too much dimension on the inside of the card and this was perfect and added some sparkle as well - bonus!  The stopper is a button from my stash - not one of my Mum's this time!

Rings and Heart

I don't think I've done embossing on a CAS card before so thought I'd try it with this one:

This card is for the following challenges:
Outlawz Challenge - Sketch
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/sketchchallenge/forum/topics/wednesdag-sketch-challenge-april-17
Outlawz Challenge - CAS (wedding)

Little Tangles - Embossing
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-11-emboss-it.html

When looking through my embossing folders I found this one by Couture Creations called "Drink Me".  When I looked at it, I thought it was interlocking wedding rings of varying sizes!

I have embossed some pearlised cardstock.  The ribbon is organza which I have added some pearls to.  The heart that I have used comes from Paper Dreams of Mine.  Initially I was tempted to add pearls around the outer of the heart but I thought it might be overdoing it a bit and probably pulling it away from being CAS so I just added some crystallina Kindy Glitz instead.

It's a Bug's Life

A card with a red and black colour scheme again - I seem to keep coming back to this combination!

This card is for the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - It's a Bug's Life
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/theme-challenge-at-bugaboo.html
Love to Create - For the Guys
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-61-for-guys.html

The background papers for the card come from a matstack by DCWV called Immortal Love.  The image is from Bugaboo.  I have matted using black cardstock.  I also die-cut the butterfly from the same black cardstock but then added crystallina Kindy Glitz all over before embellishing with some small red pearls.  The effect is quite stunning and much better than I expected.

The image that I have used is from Bugaboo and has been coloured with copic markers.  Usual trick of not writing down which ones I used but I think they might be Y06, Y17, G17, G14, R29, R27, C7, C5?, C1.  Not sure if I combined C7 and C5 on the hat and shoes.

Guitar Hero

This is a fantastic image from Kenny K.

Scribbles Designs - Shaped or Easel
http://scribblesdesignschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/scribbles-designs-challenge-4-shaped-or.html

With a musically minded daughter, I tend to be drawn to images with a musical theme.  I'm sure this one will be used again.  I decided to make an easel card with this image - partly because I printed the image so big it swamped every other card shape I looked at!  The papers that I have used come from a matstack by DCWV called Rockstar - very appropriate for this image.  I have used three large rhinestones as stoppers and then added some silver ribbon roses for embellishment.

I had heaps of fun using die-cuts on the card.  The image has been cut using a Spellbinders die while I have also used a swirl and a treble clef from Memory Box as embellishments.  I love the daintiness of these dies.  The finishing touch is a few purple rhinestones scattered around the card.

Three Flowers

A softer colour palette to this card:

The card is for the following challenges:
The Outlawz Challenge - CFC Progressive Challenge

Broken Box Stock - Floral Images

Glitter n Sparkle - Stitching (real or not) - mine's not!
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-28.html

The card uses some papers from paper pads along with some metallic paper.  The image that I have used comes from The Outlawz CFC Progressive Challenge and is the image provided by Sandi Huggett.

I have used some soft lavender copic markers along with G000 and an earth colour I think on the bulb - should have written it down when I coloured it shouldn't I!  The stitching is done with a Distress Marker.

Winged Helper

Here is a winged angel helping out at Christmas:

Christmas Challenges {with sketches}
http://christmaschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-69-with-stampfairy.html

I have used several papers from a paper pad by My Mind's Eye called Snowed In Winter Papers.  I love the soft mint green base to most of these papers.  I used a sticker as a sentiment this time - it just fit the space perfectly.  The image is one from Stamp Fairy called Liz 3.  I have used my copic markers G000, R02, E00, and E41 for the colouring.  In some places, I have chosen to just outline colour to keep the colouring soft.

I haven't completed the CCWS challenge for some time - it was nice to join in again this week.  These four challenges worked in well together.

Boo!

I thought this image would look wonderful with a Black and White colour scheme:

The card is for the following challenges:
AnnaBelle Stamps - Black and White
http://www.annabellestamps.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/ac160.html
QKR Stampede - For A Child

http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.ca/2013/04/its-time-to-button-up.html
CDAC - Anything Goes
http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/anything-goes-challenge-room

A couple of stash items used for this card - the first is the background paper which I bought about 5 years ago (at least) and the other is even older!  The buttons are probably about 30 years old - my Mum had a box of buttons for as long as I can remember.  Last year she let me pick out some buttons for my crafting.  These ones I've used on this card are a couple of those.  I probably got about 100 or so buttons last year and that was a small amount of what was actually in the box to start off with!

I have also used some black Glitter Tape from American Crafts on this card.  The image is from Tiffany Doodles.  I printed out the image and then matted it on black cardstock.

Merry Christmas in Orange and Blue

A card with a different colour scheme for Christmas - don't think I've ever used this combination before but it seems to work okay.

This card is for the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Red and Green should not be seen
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/winter-wonderland-red-and-green-must.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas

Seems a Little Sketchy - Sketch #37
http://seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/sketch-37-whimsy-stamps.html

I have use some orange scrap paper to create the backdrop for this card.  I then added strips of various blue papers - The second from the left is one from Bearly Mine Designs, the second from the right is from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles, the two on the ends are from MME and I'm not sure on the centre one as I've had it for a while!  The blue grosgrain ribbon is from American Crafts - I love this particular shade of blue and it matches copic marker B05 really well!   The image is from Bugaboo and has been coloured using copic markers - forgot to write them down but I know the blues are B05 and either B00 or B000.  The tree trunk is E35 and I think the orange colour may actually be Y35 or Y38 but I'm guessing.  I added some dots of Glossy Accents to the image on the snowflakes and a couple of other places.

Round and round turtle

Not an inspiring title - but it is 5.40am and I've just got up!

The card is for the following challenges:
Meljens Designs Studio - Round and Round
http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-155-round-round.html
Ruby's Rainbow - Round and Round
http://rubysrainbow.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/ch52-round-round.html
CDAC - 1 sentiment, 2 DP, 3 embellishments

Glitter n Sparkle - stitching - real or not

Penny's Paper - Use a sentiment
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/pennys-challenge-123-use-sentiment.html

I have used some papers from a paper pad by MME.  THis lovely image is from Meljens Designs Studio and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.  I have made good use of my Spellbinders circle dies for this card.  I also added some faux stitching around both the image and sentiment.  Finishing touch is some rhinestones hearts in a soft pinky peachy colour.

Sweet Christmas Treats

A candy cane colour scheme for this card:

The card is for the following challenges:
Fresh Brewed Designs - Sweet Treats
http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/april-month-long-prize-challenge-sweet.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-extra-for-april.html
Outlawz Challenge - Card with Food
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/prismaandothermediums/forum/topics/card-with-food-apr-11th

The card uses some background paper from a paper pad.  The image is from Fresh Brewed Designs - I have used this image before in a non-traditional way so this time I went more traditional!  I have coloured the image using copic marker and then added some crystallina Kindy Glitz as snow.  I used some Glitter Tape to create the matting for the image as well as adding over the join between the DP and cardstock.  The finishing touch is some red glitter buttons.

Traditional Christmas Tree

A traditional christmas card using a tree image and green!

The card is for the following challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/challenge-202-11th-of-april-christmas.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/chnc-challenge-extra-for-april.html

The card uses both the front and reverse of one of the papers from a paper pad by MME.   I couldn't decide which side to use so have used a bit of both!  The image is an acrylic stamp by a New Zealand company called Flonz.  I have matted throughout the card using green cardstock which sets off the image and background papers well.  The embellishment is a glitter tree button that I bought from a clearance bin a couple of weeks ago.  In a way, this is a good time to be working on next year's christmas cards as many of the shops have last years christmas embellishments at not much more than cost price!

Just chicken In

A peach/apricot colour scheme for this one:

The card is for the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - BINGO (lace, buttons, gems)
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/bingo.html
Delightful Inspirations from the Heart
http://designed2delight.com/blog/2013/04/april-free-stamp-of-the-month-challenge/

This card features another button that I raided from my Mum's button box last year. The background paper is from a paper pad by DCWV.  The lace and gems are from my stash.  The image is from Delightful Inspirations and is part of the progressive challenge.  It also came with a sentiment that I have used on the inside of the card.  I haven't photographed the inside but have used the same paper that is on the outside with the sentiment  die-cut with a Spellbinder labels die.  I have used a Spellbinders Scallop Circle die for the image.  The image is coloured using copic markers - didn't make a note of the colours but I'm fairly sure I used B05 on the rim of the pot (the rest I'd just be guessing!)
