Think Of All The Beauty Around You

I always think that Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year.  This sentiment seemed so appropriate for an Autumn card:

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Brown Sugar - Autumn

Shelly's Images - Photo Inspiration
http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/ttt-winner-and-october-challenge.html

I have used a background paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles which I reduced in size and then repeated to create a tiled background paper.  The image and sentiment are from Shelly's Images and I combined them for this card.  The colouring is with Distress Markers - pine needles, spiced marmalade, mustard seed and festive berries.  I also diecut and embossed two leaves using a Marianne's die.  The image and sentiment have been diecut with a Spellbinders Labels die and "stitched" with Distress Marker - Pine Needles.

Christmas Colours.....but not a Christmas Card

Although this card is in traditional Christmas colours, it isn't really a Christmas card.  Mind you, here in New Zealand it could be.....as that is the best time for strawberries!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Red and White

It is time for another Colour Challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.  This week we are sponsored by Saturated Canary who are offering 2 digis to the lucky winner!

I have used a lovely image called Spritz which was just perfect for this colour challenge.  I have also used various red and white background papers.  Matting is red cardstock.  The die that I have used is a Beaded Oval die from Spellbinders.  I have coloured the image using copic markers R29, R27 and E00 plus I added some Stickles (not sure which one I used now).  I added some Glossy Accents over the cane to give it a bit more of an authentic candy look.  Some rhinestones have also been added to the card to further embellish it.

I am also entering the following challenges with this card:
CHNC - Anything Goes

Fall Colours

This wasn't the image that I was originally going to use for the Lacy Sunshine Challenge but due to some technical issues I didn't receive the image that I wanted to use in time.  So.....I thought a bit outside the box and came up with a non-fall image which I then coloured in fall colours:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Lacy Sunshine Challenge - Fall Colours
http://lacysunshinechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/lacy-sunshine-challenge-19-fall-colors.html
Robyn's Fetish - Fall
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/challenge-182-fall-10202013.html

I am currently away from home for 2 days and don't have my usual photo set up.....so I photographed on the bed in the unit.  Hence, the background has stitching in it as it is a quilted bedspread - I decided this was a more interesting background than the other options here!

On to the card - I have used a tartan background paper and some mesh ribbon.  I had thought I'd used an olive green one but after I stuck it down I realised it was actually black!  The image is from Lacy Sunshine and has been coloured in copic markers G94, R59, R47, YR23, YR07, G82.  I have also added some olive green pearls from Sullivans.

Bark at the Moon

I wanted a really strong moon in a dark sky.  Although, this looks simple in design - it's sheer simplicity was actually more of a challenge than I thought it would be.  How to embellish without over embellishing and taking away from the effect that I was trying to achieve.  I think I got what I wanted in the end though:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Musically Challenged - Bark at the Moon

PINspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/pinspirational-challenge-80.html

I have used a black card blank.  The image is from Floppy Latte and coloured with copic marker YR23.  I used a Spellbinders circle die to cut out the image.  The final addition is some black pearls in two of the corners.

I have used a music themed Christmas paper from MME for this card as it matches the image.  The image is from Flat Friends.  I decided on this image after looking at the inspiration photo for the Flat Friends Challenge and noticing the red scarf.   As the background paper is quite striking, I kept the embellishments to a minimum - just adding a few red rhinestones.

Drip Drip Drip

I wonder if the birdie knows what is causing all those drips!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

My BINGO line is: 2 Designer Papers + Bling + Punch

I have used two designer papers from a DCWV Matstack which have been die-cut using Spellbinders dies.  The border strips have also been die-cut using a Spellbinders die (I'm hoping this counts as a punch as I had to punch out the circles after die-cutting!).  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured using copic markers - B000, B05, B02, C5, C3.  I also added some blue dots around the image using Distress Marker - salty ocean.  The bling is from Kaisercraft and is "Blue Grey" colour - just perfect!

Thanks - piano

My teenage daughter has a music exam at the end of this month.  She requires the assistance of a pianist for her exam....so I've made a card for her to give to him:

Inspired By the Tiger

Our school emblem was a tiger and our school colours derived from that (or the other way round)!  We had this ghastly winter dress that really smelled when it got wet.  It is a looong time since I was at school and I still remember that!  The background paper that I have used for this card is basically the same pattern as was on that dress.

It's A Doodle

When I first read this challenge, I thought it said "It's a Doddle"!!!  I'm getting to enjoy doodling around the edges of my die-cuts so I had fun with this one - so it was a doddle to do!

The image comes from Opal Manor as a freebie for the challenge that I was going to enter!  The background paper is from MME - Mistletoe Magic.  I have coloured the image using copic markers R59, R46, BG23, BG15, BG72.  I have added a designer brad from Rosie's Studio.  I actually went in to the shop to buy printer ink but saw these gorgeous brads and just had to have them!  There are 21 different ones in the pack.

Purple and Black

Today marks my first day as a new DT member at Incy Wincy Designs.  A bit late with my first post though - a couple of technical issues!  This is my first card:

The challenge this week is Purple and Black and the sponsor is Dilly Beans. The image that I have used from Dilly Beans is called Skull Bow Framed.  I have used some die-cuts throughout the card.  The ribbon threader one, the arch which is the negative of a frame die-cut!   I added some Stickles - Crystal around the edge of the frame.    I used the same Stickles on the bow.  Colouring is with copic markers with the addition of Glossy Accents on the eye and the skull.  I also added some black rhinestones to the purple grosgrain ribbon.  The background paper is from a Basics paper pad - spots and stripes.

I have also found these challenges to enter:

My BINGO line is Sentiment, Digital Image, Paper Piercing

I have used two papers from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles for this card.  I also used an embossing folder "Heavy Duty" for the centre strip.  I inked the embossing folder with Distress Ink - Dusty Concord before embossing.  The image is from Crafty Sentiments - she had a worried look on her face and I thought she might be pondering whether her spell was going to work or not!!  I have coloured her using copic markers in Halloween colours - YR07, YR04, YG23, E00, BV17.  I also added the word "Spells" to her book using a Distress Marker - Dusty Concord.  The two left hand corner embellishments have been created using Stickles - Black Diamond.  The sentiment is from Limited Runs.

Cardinal Christmas

I decided to make a Christmas card that wasn't quite so "Christmassy" - if you know what I mean.  No santa hats, no Christmas trees, etc.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

PINspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration (Anything Goes)
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/pinspirational-challenge-79.html

I was trying to avoid using the "Anything Goes" option on the PINspirational challenge - but succumbed to it this time!  I like to challenge myself as much as I can!

I have used a couple of Christmas papers from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Delightful Inspirations - From the Heart.  Colouring is with copic markers R59, R46, R05, R02, R29, E35, Y17.  I have used Spellbinders circle and scallop circle dies for die-cutting.  I have also added some olive green mesh ribbon and some olive green grosgrain ribbon.

I was a bit late putting this post together......and forgot to include the sketch:

I either include the sketch when I'm not meant to.......or forget to add it when I am meant to!

The spotty paper comes from a paper pad that I bought recently called Basics.  It has papers in differing colours in stripes and spots!  The embossed die-cut is one from Marianne's.  I embellished the die-cut with three pale pink rhinestone hearts.  The image is from Whoopsi Daisy and was the perfect image for a spots and dots challenge!  I have also added some die-cuts cut from pearlised paper using a Memory Box die.

I have used a lovely poinsettia paper from Bearly Mine Designs for the background.   This paper is from the Christmas Sparkle set.  The plain paper is from a scrap paper pack - I rounded the corners with a Martha Stewart punch.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers and also applied some Stickles (Cotton Candy and Diamond).  I have also used some striped ribbon from American Crafts and a large pink pearl.

Card Makin Mamas - Trick or Treat
http://cardmakinmamas.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/cmm75-trick-or-treat.html

I was intending to enter this into the Catch The Bug - Think Pink challenge as well.  However, life has a habit of getting in the way sometimes!  I thought I had a bit more time to finish than I did and ended up missing the deadline!

I have used a pink card blank for this card.  The paper that I have used comes from Bearly Mine Designs - I altered it slightly by stippling some Distress Ink - Red Barn over the top to give it more of a pinkish tinge.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured with copic markers RV95, RV14, RV10, RV13.   I have also added some web ribbon and a button from my stash (not one from my Mum this time!).  I have roughly shaded the image using Stickles - Cotton Candy.  I didn't want a solid look to the colouring.

Miss You

I've run with the sewing theme of the image with a fabric inspired background paper!
