Hi

A pretty and bright owl to say "Hi".

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Bold Bright Colours
http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-219-bold-and-beautiful.html
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch #91
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/sketchie-free-for-all.html

I have used a textured cardstock for the base.  I cut a square from glitter cardstock from DCWV.  I added some strips of glitter tape from American Crafts.  The image is from 2 Cute Ink and the sentiment is from Paper Dreams of Mine.  I added colour to both of them using copic markers including RV14, B05, YR07 plus some others I forgot to write the numbers down for!  I doodled around the edge of the image and sentiment to match the owl's wings using Distress Markers - Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries.

Shades of Red and Blue plus some white

I have used different shades of both blue and red teamed with white:

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Seems A Little Sketchy - Sketch
http://seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/67-robins-nest.html
Dilly Beans - Red, Blue and White
http://www.dillybeanschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/dilly-beans-patriotic-or-red-white-blue.html

I have used a subtle patterned red paper for the background.  I die-cut two squares from blue glitter cardstock from DCWV.  The image is from Dilly Beans and has been coloured with copic markers.  I also doodled around the edge of the circle with Distress Marker - Faded Jeans.  I added a sentiment from Sans Designs and also doodled around that with the same distress marker.  I made corner accents on the glitter cardstock using two differing sizes of red pearls.

Tuesday Morning Christmas Mail

A traditional Christmas colour scheme for this one!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Sketch
http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/tuesday-morning-sketches-255.html
ABC Christmas Challenge - M is for Mail (of the postal kind!!)
http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/m-is-for-mail.html

I have used a spotted paper for the background.  I used offcuts of papers from Christmas paper pads by MME for the pennant and centre strip.  The holly patterned centre strip is largely hidden by the image.  The image is from Digital Delights and has been coloured in copic markers W3, W0, G17, G14, R59, R46, R35, R000.  I used various Spellbinder dies for die-cutting.  I also added some pearls to the pennant.  The lower square is glitter cardstock from DCWV.

Picnic among the flowers

When I was younger, I remember my parents taking my brother and I for picnics at a domain.  Basically it was a large field type area with trees around.  We'd sit under the trees on fold up chairs to have our picnic after we had a kick around with a ball on the field area.

I tried to create a bit of a scene here with the flowers in the top corner representing the overhanging trees.  I added some "falling" flowers across the card and then the cat enjoying his nice cool lemonade.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Eureka Stamps - Picnic
http://eurekastamps.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/eureka-stamps-challenge-95-picnic.html

CHNC Patterned Paper - June Challenge
http://craftyhazelnutspatternedpaper.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/craftyhazelnuts-patterned-paper-june.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad - not sure of the brand of this one but it may be Rosie's Studio.  The image is from Eureka Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added some flower shaped buttons from my stash and some pink pearls from Sullivans.

Thank You Single Layer Card

I have had a go at creating a single layer card - I'm not totally pleased with how this turned out.  Think I need a bit more practice but it is good to try new things out!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Squigglefly - One Layer Card
http://squigglefly.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/new-challenge-sfc2514one-layer-card.html
CRAFT Challenge - Thank You
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/challenge-265-26th-of-june-thank-you.html

I have used an image from Squigglefly.  I stamped a Thank You using a rubber stamp from Hero Arts.  I haven't used rubber stamps in a while!  I hand drew on some notes to create a border - a bit rusty on my music knowledge so I hope they are all correct.  My daughter is a flautist and will certainly tell me if I got it wrong!  I cut the edge of the card with a Spellbinder Borderabilities die to create a more interesting look to the card.

Get Well Soon

I found a number of challenges that I thought would work well together.  Occupation, bright colours and a colour scheme that in itself was already bright.  A get well card that is bright and cheery meant that the obvious choice for occupation was a nurse or first aider.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Sentimental Sunday - When I Grow Up
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-212-when-i-grow-up.html
Love To Create - Colour Inspired
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-121-color-inspired.html
Craft Your Passion - The Bold and The Beautiful
http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-219-bold-and-beautiful.html
Penny's Paper - Embossing Hot or Dry (Dry)
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-183.html

I have used a textured cardstock for the base of this card.  The next layer is some embossed navy cardstock using an embossing folder called "Heavy Duty".  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added some doodling around the image with a Distress Marker - Mustard Seed.  I coloured a plain flower using Gelato - the gemstone was already in the centre.  I coloured some other green rhinestones that weren't quite matching so that they matched better and then dotted them around the card.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.

Thank You

This card was such a pleasure to create.  This image is so stunning and I found a paper that worked with it beautifully.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
One Stitch At A Time - Anything Goes (store image)
http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-218.html
Delicious Doodles - Button and Bow
http://deliciousdoodleschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-94-buttons-bows.html
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch #91
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/sketchie-free-for-all.html
CRAFT Challenge - Thank You
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/challenge-265-26th-of-june-thank-you.html

I used a paper from a paper pad for this card - not sure which brand.  I also used an offcut of another paper for the square behind the image.  The image is from Delicious Doodles and can also be found in the One Stitch At A Time store.  I coloured using copic markers R22, R20, W3, W0, YG03, YG06.  I added some dots around the image and sentiment using Distress Marker - Black Soot.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.  I have also used some black glitter ribbon from American Crafts, a button from my stash and some narrow pink satin ribbon to create a bow.

Let It Snow

A Christmas card with a Hot pink, yellow and teal colour scheme.  This is the third of the cards I made following the BINGO card at Catch The Bug.  This time I have used the top line:

I am entering the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - BINGO (Use Hot Pink, Teal or Yellow (all) + squares on card + at least 3 layers)
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/june-bingo-challenge.html
CHNC - Getting sentimental
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/chnc-challenge-183-lets-get-sentimental.html

I have used a paper from MME for the bottom layer.  The second layer is a paper from Kaisercraft.   The next layer is glitter tape from American Crafts.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers.  I have added some tiny teal pearls over the top of some of the snow falling.

Merry Christmas from Rudolph

This is the second project I have made using the BINGO grid from Catch The Bug challenge:

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Catch The Bug - BINGO (Glitter + Starts with Reindeer (reindeer) + Brads)
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/june-bingo-challenge.html
Seems A Little Sketchy - Sketch
http://seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/67-robins-nest.html
Brown Sugar - Colour Palette
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-100-color.html
CHNC - Let's get sentimental
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/chnc-challenge-183-lets-get-sentimental.html

I have used a paper from a Christmas paper pad by MME.  The glitter cardstock is from DCWV.  I added a gold brad to one corner of each glitter square.  The image that I have used is Bobblehead Reindeer from Bugaboo Stamps.  The sentiment that I have added comes from Sans Designs.

Christmas Tag

I had some fun making a Christmas tag for a change from Christmas Cards.  I never seem to have enough tags at Christmas time as I don't make enough throughout the year!

I decided to challenge myself with the BINGO challenge at Catch The Bug by creating three projects each using a different horizontal line on the grid!  This is my first one using the bottom line:

I am entering my tag into these challenges:
Catch The Bug - June BINGO (Starting with B (bells) +  Player Choice (make tag) + Bling)
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/june-bingo-challenge.html
Christmas Inspirations - Make a Christmas Tag
http://natalduranteoanotodo.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/desafio-052014-christmas-tag.html

I have used a shipping tag from Tim Holtz.  I added some offcut paper from a Christmas paper pad by MME.  I added a strip of gold glitter tape to tie in with the colours I used on the bells.  The bells tag image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added a strip of bling to embellish the top of the tag.

Wish I was there

Yes I do!  It has been cold and wet all day here - a day on a tropical island would be lovely!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Robyn's Fetish Challenge - At the Beach
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/challenge-217-at-beach-6222014.html
PINspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration (see explanation below)
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/pinspirational-challenge-113.html

I tried to capture the idea of light surrounded by dark which is what the picture inspired in me.  However, I'm not totally pleased with the end result as it is not quite what I had "saw".  I think I might have needed to use a darker background.

I used a paper from Kaisercraft that I thought was more black than it actually is!  I wrapped a wide ribbon from Gift Wrap Boutique around the front.  The image that I used is from Fresh Brewed Designs - I used light coloured copic markers to mimic the lightness of the sky in the inspiration picture.  I double matted with cardstock from DCWV.  I also added three black pearls to the diagonal corners.

Playing at the Beach

I remember the days when my children were about this size and we would go to the beach with a bucket and spade and invariably my daughter would end up with water in her bucket!  So, I coloured the bucket as though it contained some water instead of sand!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy - Summertime
http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/hello-to-everyone-and-welcome-to-our.html
Robyn's Fetish Challenge - At The Beach

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch #91
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/sketchie-free-for-all.html

I have used a background paper which I think comes from Kaisercraft.  The dark pink square is from a pad by DCWV.  I added some aqua coloured glitter tape from American Crafts to add to the beachy feel.  The image is from Whoopsi Daisy and has been coloured with copic markers E00, RV23, RV21, B05, B000, E41.  I also added some white pearls coloured with copic marker Y02 to the centres of the flowers.  The sentiment is from Netty's Cards.

Tropical Beach

That's where I would like to be right now - away from the wet winter's day here!  And a beautiful sunset too - something really relaxing about a beautiful sunset!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
From The Heart Stamps - Sketch 072 plus twist
http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/2014/06/23/i-heart-card-sketches-w-a-twist-no-72/
Robyn's Fetish Challenge - At the Beach
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/challenge-217-at-beach-6222014.html
Glitter n Sparkle - Use some yellow
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-90.html

I have kept the background plain white to contrast the strong yellows, oranges and reds.  The image is Tropical Beach from From The Heart Stamps.  I couldn't find the gradient of colours in cardstock that I wanted so coloured some white cardstock for the circles.  All colouring is with copic markers Y000, Y02, YR000, YR00, YR02, Y06, YR04, YR07, R000, R14, R17, R59, E08.  I added some orange satin ribbon and a pacifica style embellishment.

Here is the sketch:

Ella Lovely

This is such a gorgeous image - so I enjoyed using my favourite colours to bring it to life.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Glitter n Sparkle - Add Some Yellow

http://chocolatecoffeecards.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-68-summer-days.html\

I have used a background paper from Sugar and Spice Studio.  I added some yellow mesh ribbon.  The image is from The Stamping Chef and is called Ella Lovely.  I coloured her mainly in yellow and added some yellow rhinestones in the white space around the image.  The image has been edged with yellow coloured Gelato.  I also added a yellow satin bow.

Angels on High

I decided on a monochromatic yellow colour scheme for this card:

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Ike's World - Christmas in June
http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/ikesworld-challenges-20-christmas-in.html

I have used a paper from Sugar and Spice Studio for the background.  I added some pretty lace across the card.  The image is from Ike's World and can be found at the challenge link above.  I added a little posy of yellow flowers.

Looking In

Look at the curious face looking in from outside.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
CHNC - Building (window and interior wooden wall)
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/chnc-challenge-182-include-building.html
Friday Sketch Challenge - Sketch
http://fridaysketchchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/sketch-72.html

I used a wood effect paper for the background to represent the interior walls of the room surrounding the window.  We have a range of houses with wooden walls in them so I've modelled my room on one of those!  The image is from Digi Stamp Boutique and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added ric rac braid under the image and a strip of red ribbon across the "wall".  I added pearls to the corners to match the sketch - for no other reason really as I couldn't come up with something to fit with my room theme!  The sentiment from Sans Designs is also there to fit the sketch.  I don't think that the sentiment and pearls detract from the overall impression of a room though.

Just Keep Swimming

I like to have a few "encouragement" cards on hand.  I teach young children to swim and at times they hit a bit of a brick wall and feel that they aren't getting anywhere.  It is good to have a fun image and an encouraging sentiment to get them through those times:

I am entering my card into:
QKR Stampede - Sports
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/qkr-stampede-challenge-93-sports.html

I have used a chevron paper from Kaisercraft which sort of looks like waves.  I added some blue mesh ribbon.  The image is from QKR Stampede and has been coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps and is one I have used a few times.

We Three Kings.....

or whatever other Christmas carol they are singing!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Christmas Choir
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/a-christmas-choir.html
Love To Create - Navy, Orange, Lemon and Lime
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-121-color-inspired.html
Craft Your Passion - Bright Bold Colours
http://craftyourpassionchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-219-bold-and-beautiful.html

I have used some background paper which has a very subtle pattern in it.  It is from a paper pad by DCWV.  The image is from Dr Digi and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added some lemon coloured mesh ribbon, an orange reindeer and some navy pearls from Rosie's Studio.

Scottish Castle

My children are good at making a scene - but I don't think that's what the challenge was looking for!!!  I decided to use an image of a castle in Scotland along with a little rowboat for my scene:

I am entering my card into these challenges:
The Outlawz Friday Challenge - Colour Inspiration
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/copicchallenge/forum/topics/alcohol-markers-challenge-june-20th-26th
Delicious Doodles - Make A Scene
http://deliciousdoodleschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-93-make-scene.html
PINspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration (hills in background)
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/pinspirational-challenge-113.html

I have used a wood effect paper from Kaisercraft for the background to tie in with the rowboat image.  The image is from Delicious Doodles and is called A Scottish Castle.  I added some light colour for shading using pastel coloured copic markers.  I wanted the effect of old photos where they have just a hint of colour in them.  I used YR31 to edge the image to give a bit deeper colour on the border.  I found these charms a while back and haven't had the right image to use them with until now.  The set also has ship wheels in it as well.

Textured Boot

I had fun playing with all different types of texture - embossing, mesh ribbon, pearls and satin ribbon.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
MelJens Designs - Texture
http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-215-texture.html
Penny's Paper - Embossing Hot or Dry (Dry)
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-183.html

I have used some embossed cardstock for the base.  I embossed using an embossing folder called Drink Me.  I added a strip of cardstock at the top which is an offcut from another card.  I added a strip of glittery mesh ribbon over the top of the join.  The image is from MelJens Designs and coloured with copic markers.  I added some lavender pearls down the boot as buttons and some pink pearls as flower centres.  Matting is textured cardstock from DCWV.  I added a satin bow at the top to finish.

Spots and Stripes to Celebrate

Eleanor and Pickles are turning 2 - so Lacy Sunshine has an Anything Goes challenge to celebrate.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Brown Sugar - Spots and Stripes
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-99-dots-andor-stripes.html
Lacy Sunshine - Anything Goes
http://lacysunshinechallengeblog.blogspot.gr/2014/06/challenge-36-anything-goes-in.html

I have used a spotted paper from Kaisercraft for the background.  I added some striped washi tape as a border.  The image is from Lacy Sunshine and has been coloured with copic markers.  I also added some Stickles to the bow in Eleanor's hair - thought she deserved it for her birthday!  I matted using some cardstock from DCWV and added some aqua coloured pearls from Rosie's Studio.

One Of A Kind

Since I was using an image of just one shoe, this sentiment appealed to me!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
A Day For Daisies - Stitching
http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/take-two-june-club-kit-challenge-98-in.html
Clear It Out Challenge - Favourite Ice-cream colour (French Vanilla)
http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.ca/2014/06/its-colour-challenge.html

I don't really have a favourite ice-cream - it changes from day to day and sometimes even what I am eating with it if I'm not having it on it's own.

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft for the background of this card.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and has been coloured with copic markers E53, E51, E00, R32, YG03.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva and has been die-cut with a Spellbinder die.  I added some striped ribbon that has been in my stash for some time and not been used!  I also added a small string of pearls.  The stitching around the image and sentiment has been added with Distress Marker - Black Soot.

Come If You Dare

I very nearly didn't do the challenge at Sassy Studio Designs this week.  I just couldn't seem to get any ideas.  Then when I was looking for a sentiment for something else, I came across this one!  My daughter's birthday is just before Halloween and she often does something for Halloween so this will be perfect.  I just a digital paper so I can repeat the design.

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs - Invitation
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/dtbst-234-invitation-only.html

I have used a digital paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles for the background.  The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added a border around the edge of the die-cut to resemble dripping blood.  The sentiment is from Paper Dreams of mine and has been cut with a Spellbinders die.

I have used paper from MME for the background.  The ribbon is from Sugar and Spice Studio.  Image is from Nutcrafters and coloured with copic markers. Die is from Spellbinders.  Button is from my stash.  Sentiment is from Desert Diva.

The Car is Vintage......

The driver is antique!   I just love this quote and it works perfectly with this image.

Through The Looking Glass

I love the collage look of this image:

I am entering the following challenges:
The Stamping Chef - Anything Goes
http://thestampingchef.com/Challenges/2014/06/18/challenge-34-anything-goes/
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Pearls and Lace
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/lace-pearls.html
Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenges - Patriotic Colours (red white and blue)
http://open-mindedcraftingfun.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-13-patriotic-colors.html

I have used a striped paper from a paper pad.  The white lace is from Sullivans and the blue pearls are from Rosie's Studio.  The image is from The Stamping Chef and has been coloured with copic markers.

I have taken a bit of artistic license with the colours!  My patriotic colours (New Zealand) are red, white and blue but the shade of blue is definitely heading more toward navy.  However, I wanted a lighter shade of blue for this image.  The pearls are probably closer to the flag colour.

To The Best Teaching Assistant Ever

I teach young children to swim and from time to time I have someone to assist me.  It is good to have a Thank You card or two in my stash for these occasions.  This one would be for someone who does an exceptional job in assisting me.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch
http://sweetsketchwednesday2.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/sweet-sketch-wednesday-2-and-digi-stamp.html
Two Sisters - Make your own embellishments (Flowers)
http://2sisterschallengeblog.blogspot.ca/2014/06/challenge-177-baby-announcement.html

I have used a couple of papers from my scrapbooking stash - these were 30cm x 30cm sheets which I cut into quarters.  The sentiment comes from Digi Stamp Boutique and has been die-cut with a Spellbinder oval then matted onto brown cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  I made some flower embellishments using some textured scrap paper and a Marianne's die.  The thing about this die is that you roll the flower yourself so that the flowers all end up different - just as they are in nature!  I also added some pearls from Rosie's Studio.

The sketch that I followed is this one from Sweet Sketch Wednesday:
which as you can see I rotated to work better with the sentiment.

King Protea

Even though I live in New Zealand and have no South African heritage, I love protea flowers.  They are easy to grow here and they last so long as cut flowers and look so beautiful when left on the tree.  My tree is right at the entrance to my house so I see it every time I drive in the gate.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Flowers Flowers Flowers
http://digistamps4joy-sa.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-94-flowers-flowers-flowers.html
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Lace and Pearls
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/lace-pearls.html

I have designed a CAS card and placed the protea centrally as I really wanted that to be the focal point of the card and not have anything detracting from it.  I used some red lace in behind the image and some pearls from Rosie's Studio in each corner of the card.

I want to be a drummer

Actually I'm not sure that I ever did want to be!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Digi Choosday - Two or more real papers
http://digichoosday.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/wk-23use-2-papers-digi-choosday.html
Brown Sugar - Spots and/or Stripes (both)
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-99-dots-andor-stripes.html
Sentimental Sundays - When I grow up....
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/challenge-212-when-i-grow-up.html

I have used some striped paper from Kaisercraft.  I'm not sure if the polka dotted paper is also Kaisercraft or not.  The image is from Polka Doodles and coloured in copic markers.

The Digi Choosday challenge doesn't have a countdown on the Linky tool so I'm not sure whether I made it in time or not.  I usually try to upload by the end of our day before to make sure.  It is now 2.05pm on 24th June here so I may have missed the cut!

CRAFT Challenge - Recipe

I have used three papers from Trimgym for this card.  The good thing about papers from Trimgym is that they come in a co-ordinating set and really work well together (and the patterns are gorgeous!)  The beautiful butterfly and rose image that I have used comes from Pickled Potpourri Designs.  I have coloured using copic markers and then added a bit of Stickles to the butterfly and rose.  I tied my ribbon into a bow and then added two rhinestones for my two embellishments (I didn't count the bow).

Superheroes don't wear capes!

At least when they are called Dad they don't!

The twist for the Outlawz Challenge is to "Make it for Kids".  I am not sure if I interpreted this correctly as I have made it for a child to give to a Dad but in a style and colour scheme that would appeal more to a child as though a child had made the card themselves.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from From The Heart Stamps and has been coloured in copic markers R59, R46, Y17, Y15, B29, B24.  I used a wonky square die from Spellbinders to cut out the image as I thought it matched the shape of the cape.  I added some doodled stitching using a Distress Marker.  The sentiment is also from From The Heart Stamps and also has some doodling using a different Distress Marker.  I added a button from my stash.

Monochromatic Cats

I really had fun colouring up this image.  It was perfect for working with a monochromatic colour scheme.

I have used three papers from Trimgym to create the layers.  I wrapped a piece of grosgrain ribbon around the top layer.  It was the last bit left on the roll and it just fitted perfectly!  The image is from Ike's World and has been coloured in varying shades of blue copic marker.  I know I used B99, B93, B29, B24, B05, B000 but not sure if I used any others as well.  The double line of faux stitching has been done with two different colours of Distress Marker.  I added two blue pearls from Rosie's Studio as embellishments.

Spring is sure to follow

I hope so!  I think we still have a bit of winter left yet though.

From The Heart Stamps - Sketch 071
http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/2014/06/16/i-heart-card-sketches-w-a-twist-no-71/

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft.  This one has a bit of texture on it which creates a bit more interest.  The image is from From The Heart Stamps.  I broke it down into bits and then reassembled it so that I could better place the window frame.  I used some green mesh ribbon across the centre of the card.  I just found out that the shop that I buy my mesh ribbon is closing down in a few weeks so I am going to have to make a trip there and stock up a bit!

I followed the sketch but not the twist this time.  I had intended to attempt a spotlight card as I don't know that I have done one before but I've had a bad week and attempting a new technique was a bit beyond me!

Orange piano playing cats

I just found out there is a challenge for Squigglefly images so even though there was only a few hours left to run on the challenge I wanted to give it a go.  Okay, the main reason I was tempted is that it was using the colours blue and orange and as orange is one of my fave colours (the other is yellow) I just couldn't resist!

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft for the background of this card.  The image is from Squigglefly and has been coloured with copic markers YR07, YR04, B05, B000, C7.  I used a Distress Marker - Salty Ocean to doodle the notes around the outside of the image.  The die for the rounded square is from Spellbinders.  The musical die is from Memory Box and has been cut from textured cardstock by DCWV.

The dog has the Christmas goodies!

Not sure if he is giving these presents or taking them - but he definitely looks as though he is about to eat that candy cane!

I have used a background paper from a pets themed matstack by DCWV.  The image is the one from the progressive challenge at Gerda Steiner.  I coloured the image using copic markers and then die-cut into a heart shape using a Spellbinders die.  The sentiment is from Digital Doodling and I thought it was just perfect to go with this darling image.

Circles and more circles

I had fun with this sketch using circles in place of the squares:

I have used a yellow cardstock for the background.  The paper circles have been cut from some left over paper - I think Kaisercraft but can't be sure.  The image is from Whoopsi Daisy and has been coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment that I have used comes from Sans Designs.

Purple Hair

I have used shades of orange (one of my favourite colours) along with shades of purple for this card.  I'm pleased with how well they work together.

I have used a striking background paper for this card - not sure if this one is from Kaisercraft or DCWV.  I added some gold mesh ribbon - this one has much more of an open weave than many of the others I have.  I used copic markers to colour this lovely image from Lacy Sunshine.  I added some purple pearls from Rosies Studio to complete the card.  The die is a romantic rectangle die from Spellbinders.

Christmas Owl

My son loves owls so I often tend to use owl images on cards:

Snowflake Snowman

I decided to create a bit of interest with this image by using a snowflake die to cut it out.  Usually I use the snowflake die to create embellishments but decided to try it with the image instead this time!

Friends Forever

I wanted to keep this card fairly CAS.  I found some wood effect washi tape which was perfect for framing the tree:
