Christmas Carols

I've gone with a more traditional colour palette with  this one - almost a vintage feel to it although that wasn't intentional!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Di's Digis - Animals acting human
http://disdigidesignschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2015/09/animals-acting-like-humans-challenge.html
Winter Wonderland - Traditional Christmas
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2015/09/traditional-christmas.html

I have used a paper from this year's Christmas paper pads by Sugar and Spice Studio.  I added some glittery Christmas mesh ribbon.  The image is from Di's Digital Downloads and has been coloured with copic markers.  I also added a felt tree embellishment.

Pizza Partying Puss

This puss looks happy with his pizza party.

Chocolate Coffee and Cards Challenge - Celebration
http://chocolatecoffeecards.blogspot.co.nz/2015/09/challenge-100-celebration.html

I have used a paper from MME for the background.  The image is from QKR Stampede and the sentiment from Eureka Stamps.  I die-cut using a Spellbinders Labels die - the sentiment overlapped the edge of the card and then trimmed to fit.  I coloured with copic markers and then added some faux stitching with a Distress Marker.  I added some pearls and two die-cut cats which were die-cut from some scraps of Rosie's Studio cardstock using Poppy Stamps dies.

Christmas Elf

For some reason I have about 5 copies of this image printed out in different sizes.  I must have been indecisive at some point at the size I needed for a card.  So now, I have all these leftover copies!  This was a chance to use one of them!

http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/chnc-challenge-248-stick-it-down.html

The paper I've used comes from a paper pad by Sugar and Spice Studio - one of the new releases for this year.  I have used an image from Sassy Studio Designs (which as I said above I had printed out several times!).  I coloured with copic markers.  I also added a round doily (which might be from Stampin' Up), some red rhinestones and a Die-cut Santa Hat (die from Memory Box).

Tiffany Fairy

I've had this image printed out for some time but hadn't got around to colouring it!'

Cupcake Inspirations - Magical
http://cupcakeinspirations.blogspot.co.nz/2015/09/challenge-329.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The paper is quite shiny which I found a little difficult to photograph.  I added a heart shaped doily.  The image is from Milk Coffee and has been coloured with copic markers.  I glittered the wings with Stickles - Diamond.  I die-cut the image using a Spellbinders Oval die and then added faux stitching around the edge.  I embellished the card with some pearls from Rosies Studio, a flower from Iva Nova Chest, two white ribbon roses that I coloured with BG49 and some leaves which I die-cut using a Memory Box die.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kate Knight.  The images are from Sparkle n Sprinkle.  I used a Spellbinders Labels die to die-cut the flower image and fussy cut the butterfly image (which I printed 3 times).  I also added some flower shaped embellishments.  Colouring is with copic markers and then I added some Stickles - Diamond to the flower centres.

Traditional Christmas Ornament

Another Christmas card using traditional colours.  Although I quite like using non-traditional colours, there are some of my card recipients that can't quite cope with purples and blues on Christmas cards!

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio for the background.  I die-cut a lattice frame using a Spellbinders die and added this over the top.  I tucked the images from Delicious Doodles into the lattice (and then found I needed to glue it down to hold it there!).  I added some Peel Off Stickers at the top and bottom (which also needed gluing), a sentiment, two black brads and some bat, ghost and spider shaped confetti.

Pink for Christmas

I have used the colours from the challenge at Catch The Bug.  Back to creating Christmas cards with non-traditional colours!  I also found five challenges all sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps to enter the card into!

Pin Up Girls

It is time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.  This week our theme is Pin Up Girls and we are sponsored for this challenge by Karleigh Sue Digis.

I have used the image called Gift of More Love.  The pre-coloured version of the image has the ribbon wrapping around the waist as well - but I decided she wanted to show a bit more skin!

I have also used a paper from Kaisercraft only with a couple of die-cuts from the same paper pad.  I coloured the image with copic markers and then die-cut using a Marianne's die.  I placed the image off centre this time.  I added some flower shaped buttons, some pearls and a flower from Iva Nova Chest.

Crafting For All Seasons - Layer It Up
http://craftingforallseasons.blogspot.co.nz/2015/09/challenge-110.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad by MultiCraft.  The image is from Ike's Art and has been coloured with copic markers.  I matted with some kraft cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  The black piece is an offcut from another card.  I also added some silver brads to the layered piece.

I love working with sketches and I found a great one for this image at Ruby's Rainbow.

Tuesday Morning Sketches - Sketch #318 (flipped)
http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.co.nz/2015/09/tuesday-morning-sketches-318.html

I flipped the sketch as I wanted my embellishments on the right - otherwise I followed the sketch pretty much as is.  I have used some plaid paper that I have had in my stash for years.  The cross piece is a left over piece from another card (again I have had this paper in my stash for years!).  The image from Nicecrane has been coloured wtih copic markers and then die-cut using a Marianne's die.  I added a crochet flower and two leaves cut from green paper using a Memory Box die set.

Orange Medallion

I'm pleased with how this medallion turned out.  I used one of my two favourite colours for it.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Robyn's Fetish - Square Cards
http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/challenge-208-square-cards-4202014.html

I have used a soft patterned background paper.  The lace is from Sullivans and has a bit of sparkle to it.  THe image is from Fred She Said and has been coloured with copic markers YR07, YR04, YR02, YR000.  I have added a rhinestone to the centre of the medallion and also the corners of the rounded square die-cut (Spellbinders).

Lifting a card

This isn't something I have done much of - but I couldn't resist the challenge at Deedee's Digis!  The original card is by Carol:

I followed her layout but used a different digi:

Banner Day

I found two challenges - both with a banner theme - and both sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.  So, of course I just had to join in with them!

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  I added some pinky red Angelina Fibres over the top to add some texture.  The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and is coloured with copic markers.  I die-cut some banners using a Tattered Lace die set and strung these across the top of the card so that she is peeking out from behind them!  I also added some red pearls, some red ribbon roses and some leaves die-cut from green paper using a Memory Box die.

Spotty Dotty Halloween

Dots in the paper - & dots in the embellishment!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

http://www.theeastwind.com/
Creative Craft Cottage - Let's get spotty
http://creativecraftcottage.blogspot.co.nz/2015/09/challenge-47-lets-get-spotty.html

I have used a spotty paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  I added some Halloween looking web ribbon.  The image is from The East Wind and is coloured with copic markers.  I added a Halloween embellishment I bought last year (haven't seen anything like this in our shops so far this year but I'm hoping I do!).  The matting is from a scrap paper pack I bought some time ago - lots of different papers in differing sizes.
