This week at CHNC, our optional twist is "Any Christmas or New Year's Card".

I have used a digital paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The image/sentiment is from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers.

I have followed one of the sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2:

I changed the shape of the sketch from a square to a rectangle but otherwise followed it.

Christmas Flowers

Ron was investigating where we are staying for Christmas and found what he was calling "Christmas Flowers"

Not really Ron.  They are red but nothing to do with Christmas!  He also wants to wish all the other elves a Merry Christmas.

He is sharing his "Christmas Flowers" at

http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2020/11/dlart-8th-annual-elf-antics-linky.html

I'm going to share a picture of the "New Zealand Christmas Flower".  This is from a pohutukawa tree which flowers around December - hence the nickname.

Where we lived in the 1990's, we had three different varieties of Pohutukawa on the property that had different shades of green foliage and also flowered at different times.

The trees above are photographed from the window of where we are staying for Christmas.

We arrived at our destination and Ron exclaimed "Time For Dinner"

Um, Ron.  That is not a healthy dinner.

Jumping Pillow

On our travels, Ron found a jumping pillow and had fun jumping and sliding on it:

Not long until Christmas now so not too many days to see what the elves are doing at:

Two small cards

This time at Marianne Designs Challenge, the Design Team challenged us to make two 10cm x 10cm cards with a flower.

I changed up the colours and embossing for the second card but kept the design the same and the flower the same.  Both my daughter and myself like the one on the left better.

I have used:

DF 3410 - Embossing Folder (Diamonds)

DF 3402 - Embossing Folder (Dutch Dots)

LR0309 - Frame

Car Ride

We finally left our overnight stay after Ron had to clean up his mess.  If he hadn't been riding around on the vacuum cleaner we might have got away alot earlier.

He is waving to everyone from his special seat in the car.

Or saying hello to the other elves at:

http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2020/11/dlart-8th-annual-elf-antics-linky.html

ConGRADulations!

This time at Incy Wincy Designs, our theme is "People" plus you also need to use one of the two options - Colour of The Year (Classic Blue) or use the sketch.  We are sponsored by Colour Of Love and Oddball Art Company.

For my first card, I have used an image from Oddball Art Company called Hudson.  I also followed the sketch and included some of the Pantene Colour of The Year.

I have also used a digital paper from Create with TLC.  The top sentiment is from Desert Diva and the lower sentiment is from DeeDee's Digis.

For my second card, I have used an image from Colour of Love called Eleanor Blue Ribbon Pie.

I also used a digital paper (brand unknown).  I added some washi tape strips.  I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the image.

Cleaning Up

We stayed overnight at motel.  Ron made a bit of a mess so had to clean it up:

It looks like he is having fun with Henry and not getting any cleaning done.  At least, he put his mask on!  I think you are supposed to clean with the cleaner Ron - not ride on it!

He is sharing his antics with the other elves over at:

Christmas - A Time To Make Magic

For the final Anything Goes Challenge of 2020 at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread.  This challenge takes us through to early January 2021.

I have used an image from Lemon Shortbread called Kitty Cat Gift.

I also used 2 digital papers from Lozzy.  I also paper pieced the gift using digital paper from Bearly Mine Designs. The image is from Lemon Shortbread and the sentiment is from ?.    Colouring is with copic markers.  I diecut five mini kitties using a die set from Memory Box.

We arrived at our overnight stay and the first thing that Ron did was jump up on to the bed.

He is going to be kicked off that bed very soon!

This week at CHNC, our theme is "Use The Word Christmas".  I'm a little late getting my post published as I had no internet for the past day.

I have used 2 digital papers from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The image/sentiment is from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.

Swings

We are heading to our son and daughter for Christmas (we are fortunate to have had no community transmission for a number of weeks) and Ron snuck in the car.  I think Jassin and Eldrin were still fast asleep when we left so at least a break from those two.  Might explain why I couldn't find Ron yesterday - was probably hiding in the car so he didn't get left behind.

Ron spotted some swings and wanted to have a bit of a swing.  I told him he needs to wear his mask while we are travelling just in case.   I think he thought I wouldn't let him get out of the car if he didn't put it on.

We are sharing at:
http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/2020/11/dlart-8th-annual-elf-antics-linky.html

Wishing You A Merry Xmas

I thought it would be easy to find a sentiment with Christmas being written as Xmas - but after much searching of my files, I only appear to have the one that I have used on this card:

I followed the sketch at Stella Says Sketch:

I changed the dimensions to create a portrait card rather than a landscape card as per the sketch.

Coming Down from a sugar high

All the sugar the elves have been consuming has caught up on them!

They might have been on a high from all that sugar .... but now they need to catch up on their sleep.

While the going is good

While Ron was busy crafting over the last few days, Eldrin and Jassin decided to keep themselves busy checking out the pantry.  Looks like they found something....

... somehow they weren't as well hidden as I thought they were.

And I thought Ron was the troublesome elf!

They are sharing the photo of their "picnic" at:

Reindeer Games - Day 5

I am now up to date with the Reindeer Games Challenges at Catch The Bug.  There are only two challenges left after this one so hopefully I can stay up to date.

I have used a sentiment that was intended to be used with another Bugaboo Stamps image but I think it works well with this one too.

Reindeer Games - Day 4

This is my second card today for the week long Reindeer Games challenges at Catch The Bug.  I thought I would be back on schedule today but Day Five has already started so I still have that one to do.  I really feel like I'm chasing my tail at the moment.

Cupcake Inspirations - Shades of Blue
http://cupcakeinspirations.blogspot.com/2020/12/cic508.html

I have used a digital paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The image and sentiment are from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers and Distress Ink.  I added ribbon and twine behind the image - I added more twine than I had originally intended as I put down too much adhesive and had to cover it!

I added some sparkle foam snowflakes with a contrasting pearl in the centre.  The dies I used to cut the image and sentiment are from Spellbinders.

This is the prompt for the Day 4 Challenge:

Reindeer Games - Day 3

I was attempting to finish this before Day 4 started.  I failed miserably in that attempt as Day 5 has now started.  The good news is that I do have Day 4 completed as well - decided to create that one and photograph and blog both together.

Artsy Stamper - Bags n Tags
https://artsystamperchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/12/challenge-29-bags-n-tags.html

I diecut the tag from an empty ice-cream box (the type that has individual wrapped ice-creams inside).  I used a die set from Memory Box which I had forgotten that I had.  This one is the largest of the dies.

I have used some digital paper offcuts from Bugaboo Stamps.  I covered the join with some starry washi tape (which also enabled me to bring a bit more gold into the background).  The image/sentiment is from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella (gold and clear).  I also added some Glossy Accents to the eyes. I added some reindeer and star puff stickers around the tag for a bit more interest.

Perseverance

Ron has been busy playing with my Brusho powders recently.  Today, I found him sitting with this card:

I am sharing this at:

And here is another photo without Ron the elf:

Memory Box - Trees
https://davebrethauer.typepad.com/outsidethebox/2020/12/memory-box-challenge-67-trees.html

The tree was die-cut using a Memory Box die and white cardstock.  This was then put onto white card and then Brushos (crimson) applied over the top.  The die-cut was removed leaving the white tree amid the Brushos.  A sentiment from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles was added over the tree trunk.  The layered piece was then attached to a white card base leaving a narrow border around it.

Santa is Coming

We are at the start of the December/January Challenge at Scribbles Designs.  This month, the theme is Sparkle & Shine.

I have used an image from Scribbles Designs called Santa's Coming.

The digital paper is from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  I added a white doily and some grosgrain ribbon.  Colouring is with copic markers, Wink of Stella and Kindy Glitz.

I followed the sketch at Feeling Sketchy:
