Digis.  Colouring is with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I also added some Kindy Glitz to the flower centres on the digital paper.  I used a glitter ribbon across the card.  I like this particular glitter ribbon as the paper below shows through it.  I also added some glitter gems.

This week at CHNC, our optional twist is "Vintage or Shabby Chic".   I have used some Vintage Christmas papers to create a vintage card.

 have used two digital papers from a set called Vintage Christmas from Lozzy.  The image and sentiment are from Bugaboo Sentiments.  I coloured the image with copic markers and Wink of Stella.  I inked the edges of the papers and the white areas of the image and sentiment with Distress Ink - Vintage Photo to add to the vintage look.  I also added three pearls.

I have used some left over pieces of Flower 1 Digi Paper from Scribbles DT cards to create a background.  The image and sentiment are also from Scribbles Designs.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I also inked the edges of the image and sentiment and added tiny pearls to the centres of the flowers.  I added some vintage looking lace as well.

 This is the third card using the rows of the February BINGO board at Catch The Bug.  I have used the bottom row of Dots/Stripes, Pearl and Flower.

The sentiment was inspired by the current situation when international travel is largely not possible.  I wanted to convey that even though we can't travel internationally, we are still surrounded by beauty if we actually look around and see it.

I have used a vintage looking paper which I inked around the edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.  I used the same ink to ink the edges of the image and also the card front.  The image is from Gecko Galz and is one of the images shared during the month of February.  I added three hearts that I had in my stash that were a good match for the paper and inking.

Nevermore Goth

 I came across this challenge from another blogger that I follow.  I had a look at the image and decided I would join in this month.  I'm not sure if I will join in every month though as I already have quite a few challenges that I join in on regularly.  I'll see how I go - and how inspired I am by the image.

I used the "swinking" technique to create the background.  This basically involves swiping ink pads across the cardstock.  I added a digital paper from Summer Driggs from my Awaiting Crafting digital paper box.  The image is the February Image from Nevermore Designs.    I also added a spider embellishment as what is a spider web without a few spiders!

All That Glitters

 This image reminds me of my daughter's cat.  When she wasn't trying to eat the fake snow tips on the tree she was trying to climb into it.  Her cat is black too.  Since my daughter knows what her cat is like, she bought all non-fragile decorations so when the cat knocked them down they didn't break!  The extra kitty I added is the same colour as her previous kitty which didn't get along with the younger one so we now have her.  So, daughter's christmas card already made in February!

Happy Anniversary To A Very Sweet Couple

My god-daughter got married last December to a Maori girl.  I thought that this paper was perfect for them (wish I had found it in my stash when I was making their wedding card).  Once I started thinking it was perfect for them, I decided that I would get ahead of myself and create an anniversary card for them.  Now, I just have to remember about it by the time it gets to late November/early December!

Owl Love You to the Moon and Back

We are at the midway point of the February Anything Goes Challenge at Jan's Digi Challenge Blog.  I have used an image and sentiment from a set called Knight Owl.  I was drawn to this particular set as my son is a fan of owls and he also has a song that he likes called "To The Moon and Back".

The background is a digital paper from out of my Awaiting Crafting box.  I don't know the source of this one as I didn't think to write it on the reverse.  Colouring of the image and sentiment is with copic markers.  I also used Distress Ink on the edges.  I added a hand-drawn doodle line around the image using a Staedtler Pigment Liner.  To finish I added some metallic brads.

Dance Like Nobody's Watching

When I looked at this image for this card, I could imagine this girl dancing around in her gumboots.  I think it was raining her at the time so I thought about dancing in the puddles. Anyway, it was enough to inspire this particular sentiment!

I also used a digital paper from my Awaiting Crafting box.  Colouring is with copic markers and White Gel Pen.  I added an organza ribbon and a bow made with that ribbon using a Bow Maker device.  I embellished the bow with a pearl brad.
