 When I looked at this image of these ladies with 'kerchiefs, I thought that they could be sweaty and wiping their face, crying and wiping away sad or happy tears.  I decided to go with the happy option.

I used an embossing folder and the "smoosh" technique from a tutorial.  I added a leaf embellishment which has been sitting in my stash for quite a long time.  I had two left from the ones that I bought several years ago (hate to think how long ago now).  The image and sentiment are from Beccy's Place.  I used water colour paints from the gold set by Gansai Tambi to colour the embossing folder, image and edges of image and sentiment.  I used three colours (Blue Gold, Red Gold and Champagne Gold) on the embossing folder and image and the Red Gold on the edges.

 Normally when I think of things with wings, I tend toward butterflies.  This time I decided to mix it up a bit and work with a fairy instead.

Just a Note

 I am part of a New Zealand card swap group.  Each month, we take turns at choosing the challenge for the month.  For June, the challenge chosen was to use nesting dies and also the sentiment as a focal point.  I have heard from my recipient that she has received the card, so I can share it here now.

I used a nesting die set from Craft Concepts.  The largest die in the set was too big for the envelope I was using so I used the largest one that would fit in the envelope.  For the other layers I used every second or third die as they were reasonably close in size.

The paper that I used came in a set of loose sheets of papers and the sentiment is a digital stamp from Desert Diva.

I added some red organza ribbon and also tied a bow with the same ribbon.  I had a few issues tying the bow as I hadn't used the bow maker tool for some time and couldn't remember how to make the bow.  After several failed attempts, I eventually trawled through all the tutorials on the internet until I found one using the same tool that I have. I've now bookmarked that tutorial so I don't have as much trouble finding it next time I need it.

I have used digital papers from Trimgym.  The image is from All Dressed Up and the sentiment is from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I used summer colours of yellow and red plus sea colours as that also speaks of summer to me.    I added some pearls as stoppers for the sections of the easel card, placing the centre one ahead of the other two.
