Spread Your Wings

I decided on a non-Steampunk paper this month - I liked the blues and pinks in the image and felt this paper worked really well with those colours.  The garden theme of the paper works with the dragonfly too.

I have used an image from Sheepski Designs.  I used one of the techniques that I love - swinking - to create the two corner pieces.  I think it is a term coined by Laurel Beard (but I might be wrong) where you swipe the ink across the paper.  I then die-cut using the same die as the centre piece.  I inked the edges of the image panel with the same Distress Ink.

I just discovered that the challenges at Gecko Galz finish earlier than they usually do (probably because the month is shorter).  I have a few still to write the posts for so I might be spending a bit more time on the computer today.  It is meant to rain in the middle of the day today, so probably the best time for getting inside things done.

A Birthday Wish

 We have a bit of a four seasons day today.  It decided to rain after I hung my washing out (and before it had a chance to dry).  At the moment the sun is out so hopefully leaving the washing outside was a good move and it actually dries.

I have used all of the colours in the Butterfly Challenge (a couple of them not as much as others), Birthday Wish and Belt and Buckle Card.   I think the only thing that I didn't use was the border.

Mini Journal

 We have a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs and this month the themes are "Valentine/Love and/or No Pictures".  

My project has a vague love theme but uses mainly papers, etc from couple of digital kits so fits both themes.
