Lilac and Lace

The current challenge at Winter Wonderland is all about Lilac and Lace:

This is the card that I have created for this challenge:

I have used some background paper from Crafty Bitz.  I have lain some strips of lilac lace over the top.  The image is one from Pink Gem Designs called Christmas Owls - so cute.  The flowers are all ribbon flowers which I have coloured with a Lilac copic marker V12.  The centre flower kind of looks like a poinsettia flower - at least it probably would without the pearls!!  I then used some smaller rose heads either side.

I am really pleased with how this card turned out.  My son wasn't too sure about the lilac coloured owls though!  They are his favourite bird and he wasn't too impressed that I was colouring them lilac.  Never mind - I'll just make sure that I don't give it to him at Christmas but with flowers and lace over it that is a pretty safe bet.
