Milk Coffee - Fairytales
http://milkcoffeechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/11/fairytales-challenge.html

I have used a paper from MME for the background plus one of the layers.  The matting is green cardstock.  I have used some green glitter tape from American Crafts to add a bit of sparkle to the card.  The image is from Milk Coffee and is coloured with copic markers plus has some Stickles added.   I added a die-cut holly cut with a Spellbinders die and then embellished with some red bling.

When I was  younger my Mum used to pull out all the decorations on December 13th and we would decorate the Christmas tree.  In those days, we would have a real tree and we would have finished school for the year.  More recently, we have had an artificial tree and the school year has changed a bit and my children were still at school on 13th December.  This year, my children are Seniors and finished for the year once their exams are finished so maybe it is time to resurrect that tradition a bit!

The card is also based on a fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen called "The Fir-Tree"

  7. A beautifully coloured image. We used to have a real tree as children and my sister and I were each given one side of the tree to decorate how we liked. Thank you for joining in at Crafty Hazelnuts Extra this month. Hugs Mrs A. (GDT).
