Happy Birthday

This one was quite time consuming and I'm glad that I finally completed it.  However, upon looking at some of the other entries in the challenge, I am now sure that I completely misunderstood the challenge so will probably be disqualified.    With the amount of time I spent on this, I wanted to share it anyway.
