Sassy Studio Challenge - sponging

This is the card that I made from the second week's image:

Products that I have used for this card include:

Sponge
Sassy Studio image - Pedi Party
Copic Markers
Bubble wrap
Anna Griffin inkpad - pink
Nestabilities dies - oval
Glossy accents.

For this card, I made a background by inking up some bubble wrap and pressing it on to the card.  I have kept the colouring fairly soft with some olive in the mat and on the image.  I added glossy accents to the bubbles to give them some shine.  I am happy with the way that this card has turned out.

Sassy Studio Challenge - Sponging

This is my entry for the sponging challenge.  I found this one very challenging as I don't do alot of sponging.  But... isn't that the idea - for them to be a challenge!!!  So... I decided I had to finish it and submit it.

The products that I used for this one are:
Sponge
Sassy Studio image - Bubble bath
Anna Griffin inkpad - Pink
Grosgrain ribbon
rhinestones
Scrapbook paper
Glossy accents

I sponged around the image but otherwise didn't add any colour to her.  I added some glossy accents along the edges of the ribbon.  Unfortunately, the photo has a bit of shadow on the bottom left corner but that is not cutting out any of the detail.

TAWS Challenge #2

This is my entry for the current TAWS Challenge:

I was inspired by the pink initially.  I thought of mushroom pink and it grew from that starting point.

Materials used:

The Alley Way Stamps - Fun-gi & Fun-gi2
Grant Archival scrapbooking papers
Ribbon
Copic Markers
White cardstock
Spellbinders Nestabilities ovals & scallop ovals

I am hoping that I am getting the technology side of things correct - that is far more challenging than constructing a card!!!

Here is the link back to the Alley Way stamps:

Okay, I think that I have those bits correct!

Hope you enjoyed looking at my creation.

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 10

I liked the idea of this challenge - not leaving making Christmas cards till the last minute!  For some reason, I decided to make this one a little bit harder for myself by trying not to use an obvious Christmas image.  When I looked at this image, I immediately thought of Silent Night (probably because of the pacifier in the girl's mouth!).  I used a Christmas backing paper and picked up the colours in that to colour in the image:

Products used:

Pink & green cardstock
Christmas paper from Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine (Issue 71)
Computer generated Christmas carol
Digi stamp from Bugaboo - boopeekmoon
Copic markers

Sassy Studio Challenge

This is the card that I have made for the Sassy Studio Challenge.  It uses the first of the two freebies for the fortnight.  This was a wonderful image to work with.  I have kept to a minimalist look with mainly purple and black.  The sentiment is attached to a tied purple cording and embellished with rhinestones.  I have used Nestabilities dies throughout.
