Merry Christmas

This week at CHNC, our challenge is "Make Your Own Background"

I have created the background using a technique called Swinking.  Basically, it is swiping ink pads across the cardstock.  The digital papers used are from  Bugaboo Stamps, Lozzy and unknown.

I followed the sketch at Stella Says Sketch:

Trick or Treat

We are having another bleak spring day here today.  It is hard to believe that summer is on it's way.  A good day to be doing things inside I think.

I would like to enter:

Limited Runs - Progressive Challenge
https://limitedrunsstamps.blogspot.com/p/here-they-all-are-for-you-our.html

I have used a digital paper which has been sitting in my Awaiting Crafting box for a good few years.  I am making an effort to reduce the number of items in those boxes.  The image and sentiment are from Limited Runs.  Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella.  I also added some Distress Ink (Black Soot) to the image background and the sentiment.  The ribbon is also from my stash.  We don't have much in the way of Halloween craft items but one year I found some ribbon.  I now wish I had bought more of it as I have almost run out of it.

Shaped Christmas Card

This is the second of the shaped cards that I have made today.  It was fun playing with some dies to create shaped cards.

I would like to enter;

CRAFT Challenge - Shaped Cards
https://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/10/challenge-571-shaped-card-anything-goes.html

I have used another die from Spellbinders to create this card.  I used the outer die to create the card base.  I then used the second sized die to die-cut the digital paper.  The digital paper is from Trimgym.  The image is from Star Stampz.  Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella.

Well Done

Sometime last year, I purchased some dies that I thought would be good for creating shaped cards.  I have used two of those dies today.  This is the first of them:

CRAFT Challenge - Shaped Cards
https://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/10/challenge-571-shaped-card-anything-goes.html

I have used a die-set from Spellbinders to cut the die and the paper.  I used the outside edge piece on it's own to die-cut the card base - overhanging the edge so that I had a fold on the left.  I then die-cut the digital paper from Trimgym, using the two larger dies together.  The image is from Dr Digi's House of Stamps and the sentiment is from Desert Diva.  Colouring is with copic markers.

I have used two digital papers from Bugaboo along with a sentiment also from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I embossed the base layer with a snowflake themed embossing older.  To finish I added three snowflake embellishments in place of the sentiment panel on the sketch - I had already replaced the image panel with a sentiment.

The Outlawz Sunday Challenge - How much is that doggie in the window
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/sunday-clean-and-simple/forum/topics/sunday-songs-rhymes-september-20th-to-october-3rd

I grew up on the song that is the inspiration of The Outlawz Sunday Challenge so I was keen to join in on this challenge.

I have used a digital paper from Create with TLC.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.  I added some shutters to the image to give the appearance of a window.   I also used some ribbon across the card.

Hello Friend

It is time for the reveal of the cards sent during the month of September at The Card Chain Challenge. This is the card that I sent to Greta in Oregon:

These were the prompts that we followed:

I have used all four prompts.  From the Theme Option, I used Friendship and from the Product/Technique Option, I used Sequins.  I have a bunch of sequins that aren't seeing the light of day very often!  The Ginger is in the feather, Buttercup is the sequins and Sage is the circle behind the feather.

The circle is stencilled on to the card and the feather is a die-cut.  The die came as a freebie with a magazine some time ago.  The sentiment is digital and is from From The Heart Stamps.

I'm back to having issues with mail taking a long time.  Anything going to the South Island is taking at least a week to reach it's destination and mail to and from some countries overseas is taking an incredible long time (my April card took 5 months to get there!).  So far, I haven't received the card sent to my by Tina in Slovenia.

Hey!

I have used a digital paper and a sentiment from my Awaiting Crafting boxes.  The image I printed for this challenge as I needed two identical copies to do the dimensional work:

I would like to enter:

Always Fun Challenges - Die-Cutting
http://alwaysfunchallenges.blogspot.com/2020/09/challenge-182.html

I have used a digital paper (source unknown).  The image is from Paperbabe Stamps and the sentiment is from Beyond The Fringe.  Colouring is with copic markers.  The image and sentiment are die-cut with stitched dies (rectangle and circle) from Memory Box.

I cut out the swimsuit and the arm from the second copy of the image and raised that up using mount tape.  I also raised up the sentiment.  For some further dimension, I added a pre-made bow to the swimsuit.  To finish I added a bit of bling to the patterned paper.
