Faux stitched fairy tale

This has been a difficult week for making cards.  I am away from my home internet too.  My son has been swimming in his National Champs and it has taken up much of my time.  He has made a final tonight so I have limited time to get this uploaded!

The card is for the following challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs - Dare to be Sassy Thursday
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/dare-to-be-sassy-thursday-165.html
Sassy Studio Designs - FFF
http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/sassystudiodesigns/forum/topics/fabulous-freebie-friday-2-15-13-and-challenge

The card uses some paper from a paper pad by DCWV called Lemon Flowers.  The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and die-cut with Spellbinders.  The colouring is with copic markers and I have also added some green pearls and some silver Stickles.

Sewing Jar

This month's image from Birdie Brown is a delightful sewing jar:

This card is for the challenge at:
Birdie Brown -
http://birdiebrown.blogspot.jp/2013/02/new-freebie-challenge.html

I have used papers from a paper pad by DCWV called Lemon Flowers.  The image is from Birdie Brown and coloured in copics.  Die-cut is a Spellbinders Labels die.

Birthday Posy

I wasn't sure that I was going to get this last card completed and uploaded in time.  I am with my son at National Swimming Championships and spending most of the time at the pool.  I have about an hour now between heats and finals to get this uploaded.  He didn't make any individual finals today and was a bit disappointed with his morning but he did get called in to the relay team and they made the final so we are off to the finals session.

This card is for the challenge at:
Beccy's Place
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/birthday-bash-challenge-4.html

I'll have a look when we get back from the pool to see if any other challenges fit this card!

The background paper is from a paper pad by MME that I bought yesterday (while my son was doing his warm-up at the pool!!).  The image is from Beccy's Place and matted with some metallic paper.  Both image and matting have been die-cut using Spellbinders Ovals.  I have also added some pretty creamy coloured pearls.

Happy Bird Day to You

This is my second GDT spot - this time for Melinda's PaperCrafting World.

My father loves toucans so I thought this image would be fantastic for a birthday card for him:

I have used an image from My PaperCrafting World for this card.  I have coloured it using copic markers and then die-cut with a Spellbinders labels die.  The wording comes with the image so that was a bonus!

The paper is some from Crafty Bitz and the grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.

I bought a pack of white feathers a while back thinking they would be useful.  The packet was still unopened but they were perfect for this card.  I added colour to them using Perfect Pearl Mists.  The two colours that I have used are Grape Fizz and Mandarin.

Snowflakes and snowman

Another wintry christmassy card:

This card is for the challenges at:
My PaperCrafting World - Anything Goes
http://mypapercrafting.com/search/label/Digi%20Desserts%20Fridaze

CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/

I just love how this background paper really seems 3D.  I have used this paper several times before and really love it.  The paper is from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.
The image is from PaperCrafting World and has been coloured with copic markers and kindy glitz.

The snowflake is a Spellbinders Die and I have added a pretty blue pearl to it.

Red Pink and white

Here is my red, pink and white card:

This card is for the challenge at:
Sassy Studio Designs - Dare to be Sassy Thursday
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/dare-to-be-sassy-thursdays-164.html

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs.  The doily die is from Cherry Lynn Designs, I think.

Lovely rabbits

Aren't these rabbits so adorable?

This card is for the challenges at:
Meljens Designs - All you need is love
http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-147-all-you-need-is-love.html
Totally Papercrafts - Pets
http://totallypapercrafts.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-154-pets.html

The image that I have used comes from Meljens Designs Studio.  I have used some background paper from my stash.  The matting is some metallic paper I bought a few days ago.  It was on special at a bookstore and I thought it would be great for cardmaking as it is 120gsm.  I have added three copic coloured white ribbon roses.  One is RV04 and the other two are RV02.

Hearts in a Vase

A CAS Card:

This card is for the challenges at:
Brown Sugar - Red, White and Grey
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-29-red-white-gray.html
Just Some Lines - Love
http://justsomelinesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/new-challenge-love.html

I have used an image from Just Some Lines.  I have kept the colouring to red, grey and white and a CAS style.  The ribbons are grosgrain ribbons from American Crafts.

Neutrals with a pop of colour

This was quite a fun quite to create:

This card is for the challenges at:
Shelly's Images - Neutrals with a pop of colour
http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/ttt-challenge-neutrals-with-pop-of.html
CHNC - Anything Christmas
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/chnc-challenge-extra-for-february.html

I think the challenge at Shelly's Images might have changed to Anything Goes but I decided to stick with the original theme.

The blue is a metallic paper I found on special a few days ago.  The image is from Shelly's Images and I have used E11 copic marker to add some neutral colour.

Triptych Card

A shaped card this time:
And the sentiment inside:

This card is for the challenges at:
Beccy's Place - Anything but a rectangle
http://beccysplace.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/birthday-bash-challenge-3.html
Kaboodle Doodles - Anything but a square
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-159-anything-but-square.html

The template used for this card comes from Chias Rubberstamp Art.  The paper is from my stash.

The image is from Beccy's Place and the sentiment from Bird's Cards.  Both of these have been die-cut using a Spellbinders Labels Die.

Cupid Turtle

I just love this cute turtle!

A CASE card

This is the first CASE card that I have made.

This is the card it was CASEd from:

The card is for the following challenges:
ABC Christmas - CASE
http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/c-for-case-card.html
CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/challenge-194-14th-of-february.html
QKR Stampede - Anything Goes
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-26-anything-goes.html
Winter Wonderland - Christmas
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/its-most-wonderful-time-of-year.html

I have to admit that I could only choose from the CASEd cards that the DT had done as I don't have the programmes on my computer to add a watermark (which is why mine don't!).

For the card, I used background papers from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles and Trimgym.  The embossing is a folder called Tuscan Tiles which looks very much like snowflakes!  The image comes from Spyder's Corner.

Key to my Heart

Another romantic card - that time of year isn't it!

This one is for the challenges at:
Shelly's Images - Bonus Challenge
http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/bonus-valentine-challenge.html
QKR Stampede - Anything Goes
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-26-anything-goes.html

I really had fun with this image and sentiment.  I teamed it with this backing paper from DCWV paper pack called Immortal Love. I have cut and coloured the two hearts and then added some glossy accents for some texture and shine.  I love the way these hearts have turned out.  I banner cut the key and used a lattice rectangle die from Spellbinders for the sentiment.   I love the effect of this card in the sunlight.

Cupcakes

I have made a card using shades of my favourite colour.

This card is for the challenges at:
Delightful Inspiration {from the Heart}
http://designed2delight.com/blog/2013/01/january-free-stamp-of-the-month-challenge/
Penny's Paper - favourite colour combo
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/pennys-challenge-114-use-your-fave.html

The image and sentiment come from Delightful Inspiration especially for this challenge. I have used Spellbinders dies for cutting and some orange patterned paper for matting.  I have kept this card in a CAS style.

Ellie Love

A love themed card without red in it!

This card is for the following challenges:
Crafting for All Seasons - Colour Palette
http://craftingforallseasons.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-45-colour-inspiration.html
Tiddly Inks - Love is in the Air
http://tiddlyinkschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-103-love-is-in-air.html

I have used some paper from my stash as well as some textured cardstock for matting.  The image is from Tiddly Inks and is called Ellie.  I have also added some pretty green pearls.

Tag It with Whoopsi Daisy

A card featuring a tag:

The card is for the following challenges:
Whoopsi Daisy - include a tag
http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/make-tag-or-add-tag-challenge.html

The card uses some paper from my stash.  The images are from Whoopsi Daisy.  The tag is a Sissix die and I have used a Spellbinders die on the other image.

I have added a strand of pearls and rhinestones to bling it up a bit.

Pretty Party Time Fairy

I'm getting more comfortable with making more girlie cards now:
This card is for the following challenge:
Platypus Creek - Pretty Party Time
http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-25-pretty-party-time.html

I have used a few items from my stash for this card - background paper, lace, rhinestones.  The button comes from a box of buttons that my Mum let me raid last year.  Since the buttons had been in that box for about 30 years and I could use them in crafting, she left me have them!

The image is from Platypus Creek Digitals and is called Belle.

Happy Birthday Sentiment

A sentimental focus:

This card is for the challenge at:
Stamptacular Sunday
http://stamptacularsundaychallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-202-from-heart.html

The rubber stamp that I have used comes from Rubbadubbadoo - http://www.rubbadubbadoo.com/pages/shop.php

I have stippled the image with some Distress Ink - Spiced Marmalade and matted onto orange.  The ribbon flowers have been coloured with a copic marker to match.  I have also added some rhinestones for a bit of bling.

Puppy Love

Here is my puppy love card!

This card is for the challenges at:
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - sketch
http://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-143-sams-sketch.html
Pikes Playground - Love
http://dustinpike.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/we-love-youchallenge.html
Sentimental Sundays - Love is in the Air
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-141-love-is-in-air.html
Love to Create - Feelin the Love
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/challenge-52-feelin-love.html

The card uses a background paper from my stash.  I then added some gold peel-off border sticker across the paper.  The ribbon is from American Crafts.  The ribbon roses have been coloured with copic markers to match the paper.  The image that I have used comes from Doodle Dragon Studios.  I have coloured the image with copic markers and Kindy Glitz and then highlighted the nose with Glossy Accents.

The sentiment is part of one clear stamp that came on an A4 sheet of stamps.  I think I got it free with a magazine but there is no brand name or anything on the sheet so I'm not sure!

Valentines Flowers

Another Valentines card:

This card is for the challenge at:
Digi Darla - Be My Valentine
http://digidarlas.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/ddc-49-be-my-valentine.html
Kaboodle Doodles - Valentines

Papertake Weekly - Hearts and flowers
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/hearts-flowers.html

This card uses some more hearts paper from my stash.  I slightly altered this paper to fit my image colouring better.  The blue dots on the paper were originally white!  The image that I have used comes from Digi Darla.

The embellishments include some rhinestones, some ribbon from American Crafts and an organza bow.

Seems a little sketchy
http://seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/sketch-32-sweet-n-sassy.html

For this card, I have used a couple of papers from my stash that work well together.  I have added some satin ribbon from American Crafts.  The image is from Kenny K and the buttons were some that my Mum gave me last year from her box of buttons.  Most of the buttons in that box have been there about 30 years or so!

Simple Sprig Card

This card is an any occasion card for when I need a card in a hurry!

The card is for the following challenges:

http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/sweet-sketch-wednesday-193.html

I have used the following sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday:

The background papers are from my stash - I think these two may have come from the same pack as they match so well.  However, they have been sitting in my paper box for so long, I can't be certain.

The cardstock used for matting is from Rosie's Studio.  The red ric-rac braid is from American Crafts.  I have added some pink copic coloured roses and some pink copic coloured rhinestones.  I love buying uncoloured embellishments and then matching them to my image with the use of copic markers.

The image that I have used is called Simple Sprig and is from Floppy Latte.

Affairs of the Heart

White on White

I have to admit that I found this card a bit hard to create from the concept in my head!

The card is for the following challenges:
PINspirational Challenges - Photo Inspiration
http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/pinspirational-challenge-43-and-dt-call.html

Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/01/challenge-49-anything-goes.html

The card has a background of white glitter.  The image is from Beccy's Place.  I printed it onto white cardstock and then embossed it using a mouse pad and stylus.  I couldn't quite get the embossing as strong as I would have liked it and it is quite hard to see in this photo.  The outer embossing is a combination die/embossing folder from Marianne Designs.  I have made three paper roses using a Marianne's Die to add as embellishments.

The card is for the challenges at:
Just Some Lines - Add a Charm
http://justsomelinesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/new-challenge-theme-add-charm.html
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/01/challenge-49-anything-goes.html

The background paper is from a paper pad by Prima called Botanical Collection.  The die-cuts are from Spellbinders and Memory Box.  Colouring is done with copic markers.  I have added some gold cord tied in a double bow, some rhinestones and a heart shaped charm.

Make A Wish

Following a sketch for this card:

The card is for the challenges at:

http://annabellestamps.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/ac155.html
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/01/challenge-49-anything-goes.html

The card spoke CAS to me so that is what I have created.  I found this gorgeous paper in one of my paper pads that had a space where the three dots on the sketch were!  I have used an image and a sentiment from AnnaBelle Stamps.  The image has been coloured with copic markers and both image and sentiment die-cut with Spellbinders.  I have added some rhinestones as well.

Cherries

Some nice summery fruit.  Yum!

This card is for the challenges at:

This card uses another paper from the paper pad called Immortal Love by DCWV.  I love the colours, texture and variety in this pack and still have some in there that I haven't used......yet!

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and is aptly titled Romeo and Juliet.  I have matted with black cardstock.  Die-cuts are all from Spellbinders.  I added three hearts to the top of the die-cut.  I couldn't find any black hearts so I coloured some others that I had using copic marker 100.  The colouring of the image has been mainly done with copic markers in the C range with some touches of 100 and some in the W range for Juliet's hair.

I have used a background paper covered in red roses from a paper pad by DCWV called Immortal Love.   The image that I have used comes from Sans Design.  She has actually done two versions of this image - one with wings and the other without.  I chose the one without wings for this card.  The heart is a die from Marianne's Designs which I cut out in red cardstock and then matted with black.

I have used a sketch from The Sweet Stop.  Of course, by the time that I finished the card, that challenge had closed!

The papers that I have used come from my stash - had them for years.  The image is from Whoopsi Daisy and is called Bunny.  I've had this image for quite a while and never used it before.  The matting is all done with some paper from a scrap paper pack.

Wish for Snow

I found a new challenge blog ( for me that is - think the blog has been around for a while!) thanks to a link from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles and this is my first card for it:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Digi Darla - Winter Blues
http://digidarlas.blogspot.ca/2013/01/ddc47-our-new-dt.html
Tuesday Alchemy
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/01/challenge-49-anything-goes.html

The background on this card has been stippled with Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass.  I wanted a soft background but not white.  The Wish for Snow piece is from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles and is part of the January kit.  The image is from Digi Darla and is called cute girl.  I added some faux stitching around the image and then blinged the card up with some rhinestones placed in two corners.
