I have used three digital papers from Trimgym.  The image is from Crafty Sentiments and the sentiment is typed on the computer.  I used a dark blue cardstock from DCWV for the matting.

I followed this sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday:  I slightly modified the sketch - the bottom layers are the same but the top layer (snowflake and sentiment) is flipped.

I am trying to attempt some of the many card folds that I have saved.  This one was alot simpler than I thought it was going to be.  The only issue that I had was my printer not communicating well with my new laptop due to Windows 11.  Once I had that sorted (after more than 2 hours of my lovely daughter troubleshooting for me), it was pretty straightforward.

Thinking Of You

I found this image with this paper in my Awaiting Crafting box so decided to pull the colours from the paper to colour it (which was probably my intention in the first place).  I added a few die-cuts that also matched the paper. 

This card is from yesterday when it was pouring with rain all day.  While it isn't raining at the moment, the sky looks like it isn't far away so probably more crafting again today unless I be good and do some housework.

Stitch

Inspired by the theme of "A Stitch In Time" at Gecko Galz, I have made a mini photo album for my daughter.  The album has several blank pages, pocket pages and flip pages - I have only photographed a small segment of the album as I didn't want to make this post too photo heavy.

This is the front of the album

The inside cover of the album showing one of the pocket pages on the left and a flap page on the right.  The square piece fits a 4 x 4 inch photo and the flap piece fits a 4 x 6 inch photo on each side of the flap.  The pocket contains 2 x photo mats which can hold a 4 x 6 inch photo on each side.

New Zealand

 We are at the halfway mark of the September Challenge at Path of Positivity.  The optional twist this month is Celebrate Something Special about your community, your nation or the world at large.  For the midway, I have created a card celebrating my nation (New Zealand).

I have used a sheep patterned paper - we have over five times the number of sheep to people.   I added images of the New Zealand flag and New Zealand map - both from Ike's Art.  I also added a koru die cut.

I have used an embossing folder from Couture Creations called Drink Me.  I think that is now a retired folder as I couldn't find any embossing folders on their website.  It certainly is one that I have had for quite some time.  I cut the Kaisercraft paper into a rolling curve to represent the sea.  The image is from The Paper Shelter and the sentiment is by From The Heart Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I also added three glitter gems into some of the bubbles.

As an aside here, is anyone else having issues with their Reading List on Blogger today?  I think today is the first day it has happened to me unless I didn't look at it yesterday.  Sometimes refreshing the page briefly fixes it and other times it doesn't.  I recently had to replace my laptop and the new one is Windows 11 and is causing me countless issues so I'm not sure if it is related to that or not.

Steampunk Clocks Booklet

I would like to share something that I made following a tutorial.  I made a change to the tutorial as I was having difficulty with the staple closing method she used.  Instead of having four pages, I reduced it to one after taking over 30 mins just to secure that page.  I initially tried to add all four pages at once but quickly released that wasn't going to work. I also made a change to the cardstock that I used - beige instead of white as it has a more vintage feel to it.

I'm hoping that I interpreted the brief for The Outlawz Saturday Challenge correctly as it wasn't explained.  I have worked with the Adventure part of the prompt. I have created a booklet that can be used for recording details of an adventure.

and finally inside the booklet.  There are notepads in both outside pockets plus little "cards' in the centre pockets which could also be used for noting parts of the adventure.

Gift Purse/Wallet

 I decided to attempt another one of tutorials that I have saved.   There are a few pictures with this one:

As well as the image mentioned above, I used some digital paper from PixelScrapper.  I have been having issues with my printer printing at the correct size (it isn't coping too well with Windows 11).  I cut from some of the incorrect printed ones for the inner pieces and then printed some other pieces quite a bit larger than I needed and then cut into those.  As a result there are two different sized patterns of both patterned papers although it isn't so noticeable that I couldn't accept how it looked.

I am finishing a couple of the cards that I started yesterday while it was raining heavily most of the day.  Today, we have a lovely sunny day so far - time to get outside things done.  Edit - this didn't get finished until this evening as I had some issues with my new laptop - mainly caused by Windows 11.  After two hours of my daughter trying to figure it out, she finally got it sorted.  Hopefully we got everything sorted now but I must admit I miss Windows 10 already!

I have used a digital paper (source unknown) from my Awaiting Crafting box.  The image is from Star Stampz and the sentiment is typed on the computer.  Colouring is with copic markers and inking is with Distress Oxide (fossilized amber).   I added two of my favourite embelllishments - pearls and gems.

Faux Stepper Butterfly Card

I wasn't sure that I was going to find the time to attempt the current fold at Butterfly Challenge but fortunately it wasn't a difficult one and I'm almost back on top of everything after a fair bit of time away recently (with no craft supplies).

I think I have included all the elements of the challenge.  I decided to go with faux stitching since the card style was a faux stepper.

I have used digital papers from Lozzy.  The butterfly is a foam one which I coloured with a copic marker to match the challenge colours.
