Distressing time at Incy Wincy Designs

It's time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs and this week we are looking for distressing on your cards.  You can find the details of the challenge here - along with some inspiration from the Design Team.

This week we are sponsored by Aurora Wings:

I have used Baby Owl Trio from Aurora Wings.

I'm not sure how obvious my distressing is from this photo.  I tore the edge of the paper on the left hand side and I also distressed the edges of the image using a combination of scissors and Distress Ink.

I have also used papers from Kiasercraft along with a layered flower and pearl and some bakers twine.

I am a couple of days late in posting - but there is still plenty of time to join in with the challenge.  The theme at Scribbles Designs this week is Clean and Simple.  I love Clean and Simple so I enjoyed creating this card for inspiration using Tea and Tea Cup and Words 3 from Scribbles Designs.

I used a paper from Rosie's Studio that matched the spots on the tea cup (and then coloured the tea cup to match!).  Matting is cardstock from Rosie's studio.  I also added three pearls.

Tic Tac Toe at Incy Wincy Designs

This week's challenge at Incy Wincy Designs features a Tic Tac Toe board.  You can see the details of the challenge and the Tic Tac Toe board here.

I have created a card using Designated Driver from our sponsor Stitchy Bear Stamps.  I used all three papers, the image and one of the sentiments.  My Tic Tac Toe line is brads + 3 or more papers + ribbon.

As well as the Stitchy Bear products, I have used some bronze coloured metallic cardstock for matting, some sheer ribbon and some metal brads.

Summertime Santa

The start of another month means the start of another challenge at CHNC challenge Extra.

We are in the middle of a hot humid period of summer at the moment so I was inspired to create a Christmas card with more of a summery feeling.  Here in New Zealand, we celebrate Christmas in summer so this image is very appropriate.

I have used Tropical Santa - Tubing from Bugaboo Stamps.  I coloured him with copic markers.  The paper is from a Christmas paper pad.  I added some wide mesh ribbon, a snowflake cut from glitter cardstock using a Spellbinders die, some star shaped metal brads, a blue rhinestone and some pearls.

I would also like to add my card to these challenges:

Winter Wonderland

Wow - where did January go!  We are now mid-way through the Winter Wonderland challenge at Scribbles Designs, so it is time for some more inspiration for you:

You can find more mid-way inspiration here

I have used a lightly patterned paper with an embossed feature on the lower part that sort of reminded me of snowflakes.  The image that I have used is from Scribbles Designs and is called Snow Capped Topiary.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.  I added a few snowflakes cut from glitter cardstock using a Spellbinders die and some bling to represent some smaller falling snowflakes.

Go Team

Very last minute with this card for the progressive challenge at Imagine That.  Besides the major internet problems I have had for the past two weeks (now fixed thankfully), I had a real struggle with this one.  We don't have American Football in this country so it stumped me a bit.  I decided to go with the team shirt and the flag and my son's swimming team as inspiration.  The colours are his club colours and I used a water themed paper.
