Wishing You A Happy Holiday Season

This is a Scrap Card that I did last year in green - this time in pink, yellow and gold.  It uses a reasonably small circle die so it is a good design when you have lots of little bits of the same color paper.  It needs 5 circles of 5 different papers.

I have used scraps from several of the November cards for Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards.  The sentiment is from Beccy's Place and is inked with Distress Oxide (Fossilized Amber).  I also added a narrow yellow satin ribbon.

I followed a tutorial by Sam Calcott.

Sing Joy

This is another Scrap card that doesn't follow a tutorial as the piece was large enough to be used on it's own.

Warmest Wishes

This Scrap Card doesn't follow a tutorial.  It was just the easiest way of using two larger scrap pieces.

I had two larger pieces of the green patterned paper from my Day 16 card that I put on a card surrounding a sentiment from Beccy's Place.  I added an image from Beccy's Place to the lower part of the card and a 3D embellihsment and two little stars to the top part.

'Tis The Season to be Freezin'

I have had a productive day with Scraps cards but still have quite a few to upload.  It is currently raining (again) so not much else I can do at the moment anyway.  I'm waiting for my dinner to cook in the oven so I'm going to try and get a couple of cards uploaded now.  I added a little to this card (the strips at the bottom right weren't in the original tutorial) as it looked a little unbalanced.

I followed a tutorial by Sam Calcott.

Have A Cozy Christmas

After the bouts of thunder during the day, we have had a bit of sun out but now back to steady rain again.

This is one of the Scrap cards that I made last year.  Last year it was in reds but this time around I chose a softer palette of pink and gold.

Christmas Joy

Today is the last day of November, and so the final prompt at Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards.  Along with using up the scraps from the cards during the month, I have also worked on my final "prompt' card.  The prompt is Do What You Love.  I love making fancy fold cards so have chosen that but as I am also enjoying working with scraps, I chose a fold that work with some of the larger scraps that I had.

Good Tidings To You and Yours

I had a lot of green scraps so I have ended up with a fair few Scrap Cards containing green.  I have a mixture of the green papers on this one:

Joy To You & Yours

I have written a couple of posts up in between bouts of thunder.  It has taken a while as I stop when I hear the thunder again and take a break.  I'm going to try and get some of them uploaded while the going is good!

This is another scrap card loosely following a tutorial.

Greens and Browns of Autumn

After finishing this card, I'm not sure that it is quite the Autumn colours I intended.  I decided to work with just green and brown but it is now looking more green than anything else.  I've had it "finished" for a few days and have been thinking about it.  Now, I'm tempted to add yellow but I'm going to upload it before I do that and it doesn't work.

Softly Softly Falls The Snow

One of my lovely followers warned me yesterday to enjoy the sun while it lasted as the forecast for today is more rain - and she was right.  It is hard to believe that tomorrow is the official start of Summer, particularly as overnight and early morning it can still be quite cold.  I think I was thinking of the morning temperatures when I created this card:

After intending to upload a few cards last night, I got interrupted and distracted with something else.  So, I am back to it this morning.  Yesterday was a nice sunny day but I've woken to heavy rain so it looks like it is going to be another good day for crafting.

Christmas Chimes

I have a few cards that I have completed that I am going to try and upload tonight.  This continues my efforts to use some of the Freebie images that I have in my collection.  I have made a card with a pocket on the front containing two tags.

I embossed a panel of pick as the background for the card.  The tag shape was cut freehand and as well as adding the image, I also added some pink washi tape and some pinkish twine.

Seasons Greetings

Today is the last letter of the alphabet at Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards but not the last challenge for the month as it is only Day 29.  The last challenge of the month will be a non-alphabet one since we have now run out of letters of the alphabet.

I followed a tutorial for Scrap Cards by Sam Calcott.  I changed the layout slightly on this one to fit the scraps that I was working with.

Wishing You A Jolly Holiday

I thought I was losing the plot yesterday when I had convinced myself there was less than three days left of the Month of Holiday Cards at Beccy's Place and then uploaded a card and saw it said four days.  Thankfully, Beccy re-assured me that I hadn't gone mad and that she had changed the end date.  On the positive side, it has given me a bit longer to deal with all the scraps created using Beccy's prompts this month.  I have created a few today but I still have scraps left so pleased to have a bit more time to use them.

This one is another new sketch from last year which I wanted to use if possible.  Fortunately, I had scraps that worked with it.

Merriest Wishes

I have created a few Scrap Cards today so I'm going to try and upload some of them today as I have some more in various stages of construction that will be finished tomorrow.  Most of the Scrap Cards follow tutorials by Sam Calcott.  I don't very often use pre-coloured images but I find that they are easier on Scrap Cards as due to the size of them coloring can get a little fiddly.

Merry Christmas

Today is a non-alphabet prompt at Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards.   The prompt is Clean and Simple Cards.  Mine started deviating off Clean and Simple when I added the Glossy Accents so I put it aside to dry before photographing so that I didn't add anything else.  My "white" space is actually grey.

Wishing You A Joyous Holiday

I still have a lot of scraps from the cards for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place so I guess along with today's prompt, I will be creating a few scrap cards.  This is one that I completed yesterday.

I followed a tutorial from a magazine for this card.  I think it may have been from Australian Simply Crafts but I can't be certain.  I had made a prototype for this card a little while ago and hadn't written the details on the reverse of the prototype.  I need to go back through my magazines and find the source but at the moment don't have enough time to do it.

We are having a stormy day again today so I'm a bit hit and miss with being on the laptop.  The thunder and lightning has stopped, at least for now, so I thought I'd upload these tags that I made yesterday.  I like when I receive Freebies to try and create something with them.  I still have some more Christmas themed ones so if this weather keeps up, I'll see what I can come up with them.  I might even create another star with a different paper as they were fun to do.

I followed a tutorial by Sam Calcott.  I've changed it up from a square card to a portrait card.

Merry Christmas

The Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place is up to Day 26  and the 24th letter of the alphabet - X.  This is one of the more difficult letters but with a bit of thinking outside the box, I found several images at Beccy's Place that have an "X" on a button.  I have used only one of those images this year.

This is the front of the card

And the message panel on the reverse.

and after adding the photos to this post, I realised that you can't actually see the X shape  - so here is another photo:
