Winter Wonderland - Girl as main feature - Card 3

Okay...... I really got carried away with the challenge which can be found at:

http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/here-come-girls.html

However, at least I have made some good progress on my Christmas cards this week.  This one is a bit of a twist on the theme but I was feeling like I needed a bit of humour at the time.

Now you are saying - where is the girl?  Keep reading:

The photo doesn't show the wording clearly but it is all about how the reindeer had to have been girls!

And here is where the tag fits in:

Materials used:

The Sherlocks Home - Reindeer
The Sherlocks Home - Reindeer sentiment
Green cardstock
Red cardstock
Scrapbook papers
Red rhinestones
Green raffia

I am not sure whether the reindeer stamps are still available.  They are so cute.

Christmas Card challenges

This card fits the bill for the following two challenges:

http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/dare-to-be-sassy-thursday-122.html
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/here-come-girls.html

I don't usually enter my cards in two different challenges but this one fit both nicely.  I try to create a different Christmas card for each challenge so I build up a better stock!

Materials used for this one:

Sassy Studio - Elf on a present
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/
Scrapbook paper
Hero Arts acrylic stamps - Merry Christmas
Hero Arts acrylic stamps - Christmas tree
Nellies oval die
Copic markers

The Hero Arts stamps were part of a set of mini Christmas sentiments.

Jelly Park Challenge - bunny

I really had fun with this challenge which can be found at:

http://jellyparkchallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/jellypark-papercraft-challenge-little.html

Although easter has passed, it was nice to do an easter card without being under pressure.  That means I'm started early for next easter - although I kept the greeting vague so it might get used in the meantime!

I couldn't find cardstock in the colour that I wanted for the matting.  The matt for the greeting was cut out of white card and coloured using a copic marker.  It has come up really well.  I used the same colour on the outer edge of the frame on the collage.

Materials used:

Create with TLC - Bunnies in the flowers Vintage collage
http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.co.nz/
Special wishes acrylic stamp (brand unknown)
Scrapbook papers - bunny and stripe
Copic markers

Winter Wonderland - Girl as main feature

Details of this challenge can be found on the blog of Winter Wonderland:

http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/here-come-girls.html

I particularly like this image and have used it before in greens.  It has come up really well with a blue colour scheme.

Materials used for the card:

The Sherlocks Home - Mattie Elf
Various scrapbook papers
White grosgrain ribbon
Copic markers

I am not sure if the digital stamp is still available as Mattie now appears on the Folded Paper & Printed Pixels blog.  I had a quick look to see if the above image was in the shop but didn't notice it.

Shelly's Images TTT Challenge - Kraft, Flowers & Garden

For anyone reading this who would like to know what the guidelines for this challenge are, they can be found at this link:

http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/terrifically-thrilling-thursday.html

This is the first time that I have done this challenge.  This is the card that I created for it:

Materials used:

Scrapbook paper - pastel
Kraft card
Ribbon
Rhinestones
"With thanks" acrylic stamp - brand unknown
Scrap Happy Paper Crafter digital image - barrel of flowers
Nestabilities oval dies
Flower
Copic markers

I coloured the flower petals with copic markers and used a rhinestone to bling it up a bit.  I don't really do the pastel type colouring so I found this card a bit of a challenge but that is the whole point isn't it! I am really pleased with how the card turned out - which is more than I can say for the photograph which is a bit off centre!!

As the image used fits the current Scrap Happy Paper Crafter challenge, I am also entering this card in that challenge.  Details below:

I really enjoyed working with the CPS sketches for the last challenge so have used one of them in this one as well.  I have used a sentiment that could be used for any occasion.

Details of materials used:

Light pink cardstock
Various pink based scrapbook papers
Scrap Happy Paper crafter - Blossom and butterfly

Scrap Happy Crafter - sketch challenge

For this card, the challenge was to make a project using a Scrap Happy Paper crafter image and also one of a number of sketches provided.  Details of the challenge can be found here:

http://www.scraphappypapercrafter.com/2012/04/awesome-april-challenge.html

This card wasn't what I had originally intended to do but my mother-in-law had a stroke at the weekend and is in a hospital recovery ward at present.  She loves cats so as soon as I saw this image, I knew it was the right one for her.

Materials that I used for this card:

Spotty scrapbook paper
Paw print digital scrapbook paper
Grosgrain ribbon
Scrap Happy Crafter - Kitty get well
CPS sketch # 14
Nestabilities oval dies
