Colour Challenge

The third challenge in the week long challenge is a colour challenge.  I also took some inspiration from the baubles in the picture:

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - Colour Inspiration
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2014/07/christmas-in-july-week-long.html

I have used a neutral coloured background paper from a Christmas paper pad by MME.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers.  I had to re-colour some of it tonight as I discovered that the colours I thought I was working with were nowhere near correct!  Looking at the colours on my laptop and then printing out the colour palette when I arrived home turned out to be quite different!  I then decided to use the sentiment from the Friday Freebie with this card.  I used some olive coloured grosgrain ribbon, some flowers with gemstone centres.  I added faux stitching around the image and the sentiment.

CRAFT Challenge - Christmas in July

I have used a paper from DCWV for the background.  The chevron strip is an offcut of a paper from MME.  I added some Merry Christmas grosgrain ribbon across this strip.  The image is Dottie - Xmas Shopping from Bugaboo Stamps.  I coloured her with copic markers and then added some Stickles for sparkle.  To add to the sparkle, I matted with glitter cardstock from DCWV.  I added three glittery domes as a finishing touch.

Show Us Your Santa

This is the first card in the week long Catch The Bug Christmas in July Challenge.  I have been out of town for the past fortnight and got back this afternoon and have been trying to finish all my cards for this challenge.  I have a couple of hours to go so while things are drying I'm starting writing the posts!

I have used a Christmas paper from MME for the background - with lots of Santa on it!  I added some Christmas mesh ribbon across the bottom.  The image is one of the Olde World Santa images from Bugaboo Stamps.  I coloured with copic markers and added some Stickles and Glossy Accents.  I have added some numbers die-cut using a Memory Box die and some white cardstock and then coloured with a copic marker.

I have used a water like patterned paper from Rosie's Studio.    I added two pieces of ribbon that looks a bit like coral.  The image is from Delicious Doodles and is called Sunset At Sea.  I coloured the image with copic markers.  I have also added some pearls for a bit more aquatic theme (no oysters though!).

Full on White on White

I had fun creating this card.  Despite being away from home, I was able to pull together a number of white things to create several layers!

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Milk Coffee - White on White
http://milkcoffeechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/07/white-on-white-with-colored-image.html

I have used a white card blank.  Onto this I added a strip of white mesh ribbon vertically and then strips of white glitter tape horizontally at the top and bottom of the card.  I embossed a rectangle piece using an Embossibilities folder.  Then I added the image from Milk Coffee die-cut using a Romantic Rectangle die.  I coloured using Inktense pencils, copic marker E00 and Stickles for the wings.  I then die-cut a white piece of felt using a Spellbinder Circle die.  I embellished the felt circle with some pearls of 3 differing sizes.
