Open Minded Crafting Fun - Roll Out The Red
http://open-mindedcraftingfun.blogspot.co.nz/2014/09/challenge-19-roll-out-red.html
I have used a paper from one of my new purchases. This one is from a paper pad by Sugar and Spice called "Tweetie Christmas". They are double sided papers which does make it hard to choose which side to use! The image that I have used is from Dilly Beans. I ran with the red colour scheme even using R000 on the holly leaves! However, I did add a touch of yellow on the beak using Y06. The other reds that I have used are R59, R46, R17 and R14. I also added some Stickles to the image. The matting is red glitter cardstock from DCWV. I also added some small buttons embellished with some red and white twine from American Crafts.

Here is the colour palette I followed:

Fantasy Birthday
This is a beautiful image which was fun to work with:

QKR Stampede - Things with Wings

I used a paper from Kaisercraft that I felt worked well with the image and kept most of the decorative part of the paper free from the image and sentiment. The image is from Fitztown and has been coloured with copic markers. I then added some Stickles to the wings (as well as the wings of the bird on the paper and the stamens of the flowers on the paper!). I also added a Happy Birthday sentiment from Digi Doodles and three butterfly shaped buttons.

Do Your Best
While those overseas are just starting their school year, ours is coming towards the end. We have one more week of school then two weeks break and then it is into exam time. I have created this card as an encouragement for my son who starts his exams on 15th October.

I have used a paper from Kaisercraft that has "Romeo and Juliet" on it (it brought back memories of my school time when I was reading it!) I added a contrast polka dot piece over the top (an offcut from another card!). The image is from Fresh Brewed Designs and coloured with copic markers. I also added a sentiment from Hudsons Holidays and a schoolhouse picture from Computer Scrapbook.

Flappy Birthday
What a great sentiment for this image! I love it.

I have used a green card blank for this card. The paper is some from my stash of scrapbooking papers that weren't getting used! The four corner pieces have been cut from the flattened foil inner seal of a hot chocolate container. I flattened the foil by running it through the Big Shot and then die-cut squares using one of the smaller Spellbinders square dies. The image is from From The Heart Stamps and has been coloured with copic markers mainly in the G range with Y38 for the beak. I also added some Glossy Accents to the balloon.
