CRAFT 3

I used a bit of contrast with the sentiment on this one - but otherwise kept it monochromatic.

I have used three papers from Trimgym for this card.  The image is from All Dressed Up and is the image for the progressive challenge at The Outlawz.  I coloured the image using copic markers and added some Stickles over the grey on the trims.  I used textured cardstock from DCWV for matting.

Thank You For The Music

I have made a card as a Thank You for music lessons for my daughter who plays the flute.  She is leaving home soon and will no longer have the tutor she has had.

I have used two papers from Trimgym for this card.  I matted with textured cardstock from DCWV.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and is coloured with copic markers to match the papers.  The colour scheme has been inspired by the palette at CRAFT Challenge (link above).  I also die-cut a music stave using the textured cardstock from DCWV and a Memory Box die.  I cut the diecut in half and used both bits separately.  The sentiment has been die-cut using textured cardstock from DCWV and a Tattered Lace die.

Path of Positivity - Uniqueness

It is time for the first Path of Positivity challenge for 2015.  We are starting off the year with a theme of Uniqueness.  I have used an image of a little boy from Ikes Art called "Yay".

I coloured the image with copic markers - giving the boy a unique green coloured hair!  I gave him an orange shirt to pick up a colour from the background paper.  I used a sentiment from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles using a quote from APJ Abdul Kalam.    The background paper is from Rosie's Studio from a paper pad called "Hey Boy"  I added some faux stitching around the image and sentiment using a Distress marker.  I also added three little duck shaped buttons.

Let It Snow

I usually use blue colour schemes when working with snowy images.  I decided this time to change it up a bit - partly inspired by the paper.

Christmas Easel

I haven't made an easel card for a while so I enjoyed creating this one:

The Paper Shelter - Christmas
http://creativecolorschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2014/12/creativecolorschallenge-26.html

I have used a more vintage looking Christmas paper from Kaisercraft for my easel card.  The image that I used comes from The Paper Shelter and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added some Stickles to the leaves in her hair as well as the snowflake she is holding.  Matting is vintage green glitter cardstock from DCWV.  Within the paper pad that I used for the backing paper was a page of rectangular prints.  I cut one of these out to use as a stopper.  I double matted it and then raised it up.  I have used some ribbon from American Crafts across the base.

Here is the colour palette:

Life of the Party

We're ready to start a new year of challenges at Incy Wincy Designs.  For our first challenge this year, the theme is to use a number.  My number is 8.

I have used Stella Birthday - Life of the Party for my card.  I used two papers from a girly themed paper pad by DCWV.  I covered the join with some glitter tape from American Crafts.  Matting is glitter cardstock from DCWV.  I added some party confetti around the card.

Calendar Page - April

I had hoped to finish my calendar before the start of 2015 - but I still have May, August, September, October, November and December to do.   I think I'll just have to work progressively on it through the year and aim to complete the rest of it before we hit May!

Here is the page for April:

I have used a "Decorate your own calendar" as a base.  I added some scrapbook paper that I have had in my box for quite a while.  The image is a new one (for me) that I got from Eureka Stamps quite recently.  I have coloured with copic markers B99, B93, BG23, YG09, YG06, G05, G02, G99, G94, W7, W3, W0, C2, C0, R22, B24.  I die-cut a leaf swirl using a Memory Box die and some green cardstock.
