Breakfast?

 We on Day Three of the 9th Annual Elf Antics and also Day Three of our early Christmas break.  This morning, we went for a 3.7km walk and got back and found this:

Ron that is not breakfast!  He served himself up some pumpkin pie and feijoa sorbet with a Ginger Beer to wash it down.

Somehow, I think he now needs to go for a long walk.

For those who were asking where we were yesterday - it is a place in the North Island of New Zealand called Ohakune.  It is a town close to ski fields but is also gorgeous in summer.  It is a pretty little town with a bush walk running through it.  The bush walk and stream are immediately behind the Holiday Park we were staying at.

The card sent to me from Arlene in California has yet to arrive so it looks like we are back to delays with postal services.

Look at this view

 Ron is enjoying his break and wanted to show the scenery out the window of the motel room.  There is a stream running below those trees and we can hear it when the door is open.  Very relaxing and just what I need at the moment.

The QR code on the window is for covid tracing purposes and is on every room's doors plus doors into any communal rooms and reception.

The elf has landed!

We thought we'd foil the elf this year by taking an early Christmas break.  However, we started driving and who should we find in the car?  You guessed it - Ron is back.

Today we are on the first day of driving and have stopped for our overnight stop.  It is raining here at the moment which is a bit of a shame as I would have liked to go for a walk after sitting in a car for a while.  And maybe I could have escaped Ron for a while - Ha Ha - I'm sure he would have managed to gatecrash my walk.
