Today is the start of the February Challenge at Path of Positivity. This month, the optional twist is "Celebrate Something Special About Your Family". This can be someone who is no longer with us, which is the case for my project for the start of the challenge.
My Nana when she went out with a hat on had the determination and perseverance to ensure that hat was going nowhere. I never knew how many hat pins she used to keep the hat in place but it certainly didn't move at all!
I have used a paper from a paper pack that I bought at a Japanese themed shop called Daiso. The image is from Beccy's Place Freebies page and the sentiment is from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.

What a wonderful card Suze, and I love the little story about your Nana and her hat pins! Did you include the hand-written note in the card? What a lovely gift to send to a family member who may also have sweet memories of your Nan.
ReplyDeleteI love the pretty paper you used in the background, it works nicely with the image and the cardstock. Love the sentiment too!
Cheers,
Beccy
A beautiful reflection on your Nana Suze, and a fabulous card to commemorate her

Such a great story to celebrate you Nana! I can't imagine having to put hat pins in every time I went out; what a lovely long gone era! Beautiful papers to highlight the image and story!
