This week at CRAFT Challenge, the theme is recycled. I have a habit of collecting things that may be able to be recycled and then forget about using them. I die-cut the foil and used it behind the image.
I wash and keep the foil inserts from hummus containers. I always intend to use them on craft projects and often forget I have them.
This photo shows the top of one, the underside of another, and the third is once it has been run through the Big Shot to flatten it.

I have used a digital paper from Trimgym. The image is from Dr Digi's House of Stamps and the sentiment is from Desert Diva. Colouring is with copic markers. I also added Glossy Accents to the icing. I added three enamel dots that co-ordinated well with the colours I had used.
What a great idea and how lovely it looks on your cute card. Thanks so much for joining us at CRAFT Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteI lovely card Suze - a great cake :)
ReplyDeleteI also keep bits like that - I generally use them for die cutting. I had never thought of flattening them like that - they look wonderful once flattened, and far more useful
Blessings
