Two patterned papers

The challenge at Whoopsi Daisy is to use two patterned papers:

I actually found it hard limiting to two papers - I could have used more.  But a challenge isn't meant to be easy - right!  Anyway, I did finally stick to only two papers:

Both of the papers are from a Glitz Paper Pack called Vintage Blue.  We used this paper pack in a workshop I did at the Papercraft Expo in July.  We were allowed to take the remainder of the pack home to use but this is the first time I'd pulled it out.  The stripey one is an offcut from a card we made on the workshop.

I used the latest freebie from Whoopsi Daisy called Sweep.  I have coloured the image using two blue copics, three yellow copics (including the birdie), and two brown copics.  The die-cut is a Spellbinders Blossom 2 die.  The matting is grey cardstock to tie in with the grey on the stripey paper.  However, it looked a bit dull on the finished card so I livened it up a bit with some diamond shaped crystals.  I also added three more to the background paper.  The ribbon is some organza ribbon.  I tied a bow from the same ribbon and adhered it over the top.

  1. Aww, I love this! So sweet! Thanks for playing with us over at Whoopsi Daisy this week! Starting with the next challenge, if you use a Whoopsi Daisy image it will be "anything goes".
