Purple Baubles for Christmas

I have found two challenges that worked really well together this week:
Christmas Challenges {with sketches} - sketch

Winter Wonderland - photo inspiration
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2012/10/photo-inspiration.html

My inspiration has come from the baubles themselves and the colour of the baubles (purple).

I have used a white square card blank - stippled with Distress Ink using a shaving brush.  I then overstamped it using an acrylic sentiment stamp and the same Distress Ink.  The layers have been created mainly using two papers from DIY and Digital Designs.  There is one layer consisting of lace interwoven with a narrow purple satin ribbon.

The image is from Digital Doodling and has been die-cut usng a Nellies Multi Frame die and coloured using copic markers.  The sentiment comes from Mudmaven Designs.  I have matted this with the same paper from DIY and Digital Designs that I have used throughout the card.

When I started creating this card, I didn't really have any intention of working with a largely monochromatic colour scheme but the more the card evolved, it was obvious that was the direction it was heading!
