Happy Birthday

I am finally caught up with all of Beccy's challenges from this year.  This one is the sketch challenge from February.  I'd printed out the image in February but that month my father had a massive stroke and passed away.  He hadn't been sick at all so it was a massive shock for all of us.  My mother couldn't cope on her own so I ended up doing alot for her in getting the house sold.  She has now shifted nearer to me and is getting more and more settled all the time.  So, I am now finding I'm getting a bit more "me" time.

I would like to enter:
Beccy's Place - September Challenge

I have used a paper, border and sentiment from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Beccy's Place and is coloured with copic markers.  I also added some pearls. I followed the sketch for the February challenge at Beccy's Place.

  1. I'm so sorry to read about your Dad Suze, it must have been a terrible shock to lose him that way. I'm glad your Mum is settling well into her new home and it's also good to hear that you are starting to get a little more time for yourself.
You've done a wonderful job putting this card together. I really love the wood-look background paper, it coordinates beautifully with the image of the old boots.
    Cheers,
    Beccy
