Hot Holiday Wishes

This image is probably more relevant to the temperatures we have here for Christmas.  For us, Christmas is in the middle of summer - although I have to admit we don't have the temperature extremes that other countries have!

The Corrosive Challenge - Lots of Layers
http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/june-challenge-6-lots-of-layers.html

I have used three papers from Bearly Mine Designs.  The mage is from QKR Stampede - I paper pieced some of it with 2 of the Bearly Mine Designs papers and then added some further colour using copic markers.  The sentiment is from a paper pad by Kaisercraft - the colour works well with the papers.  I used some pearlised paper for matting the image.

If you can't stand the heat......

... don't light the candles.  I love this sentiment - and I thought this was a perfect image for it!

I have had both the paper and the image printed out since early June - and only just managed to find the time to create with them!

Life is Better in the Summer

I'd have to agree with that!  We are stuck in the middle of winter at the moment - but I'm really looking forward to summer weather again.

I wasn't sure whether a seahorse counted as an animal - definitions of what is an animal differ from person to person.  I went with the idea that it is!

Aries

I decided to create a CAS card this time - I wanted to keep the fading out of the colours on the background paper which I felt I would lose if I added too much on top.

Enjoying The Sun

That is one thing I won't be doing today!  It has been pouring rain since before I even got up this morning - and hasn't really let up at all.  I was tempted to stay in bed - but had a few things I had to get done.

Wedding Congratulations

I ended up having to change the sentiment I was going to use on my card as my printer just ran out of black ink so a digital sentiment was not possible. It is well before the shops open for the day and it is pouring with rain at the moment anyway!  I found an acrylic stamp that I could use instead.

I have used a paper from MME for the background.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and has been coloured with copic markers.  I glittered both the dress and the shoes with Kindy Glitz - Crystalina.  The die used for the image is from Marianne's Designs.

Fishing without a line

The Friday challenge at The Outlawz has four options for inspiration.  I was kind of inspired by two of them - National Go Fishing Day (which inspired a boat image) and Father's Day.

Shaking It Up

I have had a go at a shaker card.  I would probably do things slightly differently next time - but you learn these things as you go along!

Reindeer in my favourite colour scheme - with the addition of silver!

I teamed my two favourite colours of yellow and orange with silver.  I'm quite pleased with the result.

Y02, YR07 and YR04.  I added some yellow rhinestones to the die-cut.  I also added some orange and yellow washi tape and a silver pennant.

With Sympathy

Unfortunately, over the past week I have had 3 funerals to attend - although I missed the third one as I was travelling back from my Aunt's funeral.  I needed to create a card for the third one - and have made a one layer card:

I have used white card blank with an image by Bugaboo Stamps and a sentiment from Sugar Paw Scraps.  I added colour to the image with copic markers R59, R46, YG09 and YG06.  I also added some dots around the edge of the card using a Reno Art Marker.

Happy Father's Day

I had an eventful day yesterday.  After my flight was delayed 45 minutes for fog, we finally got underway.  While we were in transit, the weather deteriorated at our destination.  By the time, we got here visibility wasn't the best.  The pilot had a couple of attempts at landing over a period of about 30 minutes before deciding to head to another airport.  We were then bussed back here - so that instead of arriving here at 10.40am we finally got back at 2.05pm!  I had intended making a card or two when I got back as I hadn't taken my supplies with me - however by that time I had to get some lunch (didn't have any time before the bus left to get anything) and then get to work.  So this morning, it is time to have a play.

Eureka Stamps - Masculine/Fathers Day

The males in my family are nearly all golfers - so I tend to create golf themed masculine cards more than any other theme.  I used a paper from a paper pad by Authentique for the background.  I couldn't decide which side to use - so I used both!  I placed a green piece underneath.  The image is from QKR Stampede and is coloured with copic markers, die-cut with a Spellbinder die and has faux stitching added with a Distress Marker.  I cut apart a sentiment from Digital Doodling and added this.
I also added a gold brad to secure the turned back corner.

Christmas Bells in June

We are midway through the month of June - time for a reminder post at CHNC Extra.  I have used one of the tags from Bugaboo Stamps Mini Set - Christmas Tags.

I have also used some papers from a paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  I added some lace and a bell embellishment.
