Merriest of Christmas Wishes

Another christmas card in non-traditional colours!  The temperature outside is about as cold as the snowflakes on this card!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Fave Christmas Colour combo
http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2017/05/use-your-favourite-christmas-colour.html
CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2017/05/challenge-416-18th-of-may-christmas.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad byKaisercraft.  I used a sentiment from a different Kaisercraft paper pad.  The image is from Pink Gem Studios and is coloured with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I also used some blue cardstock for matting, some washi tape and some glitter foam snowflakes.

Love To Dance

It is a cold morning so I'm huddled up crafting - don't feel like doing much else at the moment anyway!  So, I'm not going to feel guilty for not getting some housework done!

All Dressed Up - Anything Goes

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image and sentiment are from All Dressed Up and coloured with copic markers and I added some polka dots to her dress using a Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pen. I also used some washi tape, some gold glitter tape, some pink glitter domes and a pink satin bow. Matting is pink pearlescent paper.

Steampunk Bug

When I saw the image for the current progressive challenge at Limited Runs, I knew just what I wanted to do.  And the sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday was perfect for it.  So, for once I'm way ahead of time with the progressive challenge!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

Limited Runs Progressive Challenge - Steampunk Bug
http://limitedrunsstamps.blogspot.co.nz/2017/05/progressive-challenge-4.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  I added strips of washi tape across the card.  The image as I said above is the Progressive Challenge image from Limited Runs.  I coloured with copic markers and then added some faux stitching.  I also die-cut some steampunk gears using some pearlescent cardstock and a set of dies from Memory Box.

Here is the sketch that I followed:

Hi

I needed papers that showed up the faux stitching so I decided to go with a soft almost vintage feel for this card.

Crafting With Friends - Anything Goes
http://crafting-with-friends.blogspot.co.nz/2017/05/challenge-43.html

The papers come from a stack of papers that were in a plastic packet.  Now that they are out of the packet I have no idea of the brand!  Papers are much easier to keep track of when they are in a paper pad form!  The image is from The Paper Shelter and is coloured with copic markers.  I also used some die-cut letters and some resin flowers.  Faux stitching is done with a Faber Castell Pitt Artist Marker Pen.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too

I love creating christmas cards in non-traditional colours.  I usually work with blue plus one colour - this time orange!

CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2017/05/challenge-416-18th-of-may-christmas.html

I have used a digital paper from Miss Daisy.  The image and sentiment are also from Miss Daisy and have been coloured with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  Matting is orange pearlescent paper.  I used the orange pearlescent paper as well as some blue cardstock to die-cut some poinsettia flowers using a Marianne's Die and then embellished the centres with pearls coloured with copic markers.

Don't Worry Be Happy

These two images are basically identical except for the facial expressions - which gave me the idea of a split card:

Spotlight Easel Card

I have combined the spotlight technique with an easel card this time.  Had a bit of fun with this one - I was in the mood for "playing" today!

It is not often that I make a card with nothing digital on it but the sketch at Feeling Sketchy combined with the challenge at Cupcake Inspirations inspired me to this time!

Fold it Fancy

I often admire fancy folded cards but never have the time to work through the whole measuring process.  I decided it was time to do something about that over my quiet work time and actually make some of them!  This is the second fold that I have attempted:

Copic Container

I end up with alot of empty double sided tape rolls - so decided to recycle some of them.   This is an early stage of them - showing the joined together rolls as well as partially paper maché.

After this stage, I added a couple of layers of gesso - both inside and outside and then painted with acrylic paint from Kaisercraft.

I added an image from Morgan's Art World which I coloured with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I also added some embellishments, a paper ribbon and several Nuvo drops.

I have wanted to create some cards using the tutorials found at Beccy's Place, but haven't had the time to until now.  This is the first one I created - there is another one nearly finished which should make an appearance in the next couple of days!

Here is the front of the card:

Circus Train

This is one of those images that although you know it is meant to be for a certain occasion, you get another idea in your head and can't shift it!  Whilst I know that it is an Easter image, I see a circus train and can't shift that thought!  So, here is a circus themed card using the image:
