With Thanks

I am honoured to have been chosen as a Guest Designer for the challenge at Createful Heart.  The theme for this challenge is now Anything Goes.

I have used an image from Createful Heart Design called Victorian Lady 1900s.

Colouring is with copic markers.  The background paper is from a paper pad.  I also added some lace and some pearl brads.  The sentiment is from Pollycraft.

Happy Birthday Doily Card

I was hoping to make two cards using doilies for the challenge at Sentimental Sundays using two different sponsor images.  However, as I have just got back from 2 weeks vacation and only just finished the first one it is looking rather unlikely!

Okay..... it is going to be one of those days.  Sorry, but I don't know why it suddenly decides to rotate the pictures at times.  I've tried uploading again and it still does it!  UPDATED at foot of post!

Here are the details for the Sentimental Sundays challenge:
Sentimental Sundays - Happy Birthday + doily + pearl + lace
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/challenge-175-happy-birthday-include.html
I am also entering the card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Two By Two (two flowers each with a pearl centre)
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/two-by-two.html
Eureka Stamps - Anything Goes
http://eurekastamps.blogspot.co.nz/2013/10/eureka-stamps-weekly-challenge-60.html

I have used half a rectangular doily for this card - just the perfect size for cards.  The lace is some from Sullivans (I think) that was in my stash.  The image comes from Pollycraft and has been coloured using copic markers V17, V15, E00, E33.  I have added some Stickles - Diamond to her wings and some lavender coloured pearls to the flower centres.  The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from Sans Designs.

Okay... I decided I would start from scratch and re-photograph the card.  Then upload and see what happens!  This time - right way up.  Go figure!

Monster Mash

I had two monsters that I considered putting together for this card - then I thought of the Bobby Pickett song from way back called "Monster Mash".  This is what came of that inspiration:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Kaboodle Doodles - Song or Quote
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/08/challenge-185-song-or-quote.html
Little Miss Muffet - Monsters

Digi Darla- Birthday

I have used monsters from both Pollycraft and Little Miss Muffet for this card.  The fantastic space type paper comes from Spyder's Corner - doesn't it just look like outer space!!!  The sentiment comes from Glitterbabe.

Fun in the Sun

When I first received this image, I created a card with it.  However, when I looked at the Lacy Sunshine challenge I realised it didn't quite fit.  So, I have last minute made another card:

This card is for the following challenges:
Lacy Sunshine - Anything but square
http://lacysunshinechallengeblog.blogspot.gr/2013/05/challenge-8-anything-but-square.html
Outlawz Copic Challenge - One layer cards
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/copicchallenge/forum/topics/copic-promarker-challenge-may-24-30
Penny's Challenges - Circles
http://pennyschallenges.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/welcome-to-pennys-challenge-128.html

I have used Spellbinders dies to cut the image and the cardstock.  The image from Heather Valentin has been coloured with copic markers.  I sponged the image with some Distress Ink  -  Dusty Concord.  I used this same ink to stamp "Fun in the Sun" around the edge of the card.  The stamp is an acrylic stamp by Pollycraft.  I coloured one of the sentiments using Y17 to give it more prominence.

Butterfly Card

I have made this butterfly themed card:

for the following challenges:

Ruby's Rainbow - Butterflies
http://rubysrainbow.blogspot.co.nz/2012/08/rubys-rainbow-ch-35.html
Bearly Mine Designs - Anything Goes
http://bearlymine-challenges.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/49-anything-goes.html
Generally, I don't like Anything Goes challenges - they give me too many options!  But this was a chance to build up my Thank You cards ready for the end of the school year.  By combining it with another challenge, it enabled me to focus better!

I have used a paper from Bearly Mine Designs.  I bought this butterfly die-cut (Memory Box) at a papercraft expo and hadn't created anything with it.  While it is quite fiddly getting the bits out of the wings, it was definitely worth it.  I have cut the three butterflies from gold coloured pearlised cardstock.

The sentiment is from Pollycraft and I die-cut this with my Spellbinders circle die and added some clear rhinestones.  I usually colour the clear ones with my copics but resisted the temptation this time.
