Christmas Scene

This week at CHNC, the optional twist is "Use some Glitter"  I got a bit carried away with glitter and have glitter cardstock as well as glittery snow.

U Rock

 I am a couple of days late with my midway inspiration for the Celebrate Something Special About Your Hero or Someone You Look Up To.  Rather than "someone" I look up to, I have encompassed a group of "someones" - Musicians.  After failing to learn a musical instrument when I was younger (despite trying for a long time) and also having a voice that no-one in their right mind would want to listen to, I have huge respect for musicians.  Even more so for those who can play by ear.

I have used several digital papers (two are from Create with TLC but I am not sure of the source of the smaller pieces) for the background.  The images are from Create with TLC, Kenny K Stamps, Sparkle n Sprinkle, Digi Stamps 4 Joy and Nutcrafters.  Colouring is with copic markers.

Perseverance

I had a number of challenges with this card but got there in the end.  After seeking clarification on one of the measurements, I thought it would be a breeze.  I was wrong!  Somehow I misread the instructions and stuck the cross-piece on wrong.  I got it sorted in the end but not before I totally confused myself.   I think the process of creating this inspired the sentiment I used!  I have taken three pictures of the card:

I need to start building up my stash of Sympathy Cards as I've used a few this year already.    I don't often put patterned paper with them but this time decided to and I'm pleased with the look.

This image reminds me of two ladies who are in the pool while my squad swimmers are in the pool.  I have got to know them a bit over the last few months as they are at the pool on a regular basis.

I had a lot of fun getting messy with this one as the background is made from shaving foam and distress ink refills.

May Your Day Bloom With Happiness

After several weeks of little or no crafting time, I am now back to having enough time to have a play with my crafting supplies.  I created this card following a sketch to help me kickstart my creativity.  I actually followed the sketch fairly closely which I often don't!

I hae used an image from Spaarkle n Sprinkle called Leafy Flower Spring Wreath Set.

I also used a tag die to die cut the tag.  I added some yellow fibre.  The image is coloured with copic markers and the edge of the tag inked with Distress Ink.

Here is my midway inspiration card using images from a set by Sparkle n Sprinkle called A Peppermint Christmas.

 

I have also used some gold metallic cardstock for the base and matting.  Colouring of the images is with copic markers.  I added a gold glitter dome to the stopper for the easel card.

Magical Delights

I also used some silver metallic cardstock for the base.  The card is cut using a template.  I added some silver pearls alongside the sentiment and one to the top of the frame around the image.  I also added some silver Nuvo Mousse around the edge of the image.
