Beccy's Place - Day 25 (Use A Freebie)

There are so many beautiful freebies on Beccy's freebie page.  I decided to work with this one - and again went with slightly unusual colours!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

When I saw this particular challenge I thought of Little Drummer Boy and then this image that I had only just found among the freebies!

Beccy's Place - Day 30 (Do what you love)

I had already used my favourite colour of yellow and my favourite style of CAS appears frequently, so I decided I would create my favourite easel card!

This card didn't photograph very well - between the foil paper and the embossed acetate!

The Outlawz Friday Challenge - Christmas
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/friday-color/forum/topics/friday-coloring-challenge-november-27th-december-3rd

I have used a foiled embossed snowflake paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image and sentiment are both from Beccy's Place.  The stand for the larger Snow Globe is the same as the smaller Snow Globe - which is a Memory Box die.  I'm hoping that by overlapping the two Snow Globes that I have given the impression that the base is larger on the bigger Snow Globe!  I have used a snowflake embossing folder on the acetate.  Colouring of the image is with copic markers.  I also added some pearls from Rosie's Studio.

Beccy's Place - Day 28 (Something Old)

I have kept this one fairly CAS as I wanted to be able to post this one easily.

Beccy's Place - Day Seven (Shaped Cards)

Firstly I was going to create an easel card and then I wasn't quite sure that that was a "Shaped" card so I went through my dies and discovered I had quite a large ornament shaped die.  It was perfect for the card and a smaller size in the same set worked for the image.

Beccy's Place - Day 29 (Something New)

Yesterday I went to a Special Olympics Swim Meet as I am a Volunteer Coach.  On the way home we stopped for something to eat.   My daughter spotted a Spotlight store and wanted to go in.  While we were browsing I came across a packet of Christmas ribbons which included 8 yellow ones.  As my favourite colour is yellow I just had to have it.  When I got home and checked the latest Beccy's Place challenge I found it was to use your newest stash item.  That was easy!!

What is the elf up to now?

I have a new elf this year - but hadn't given him a name.  Melissa commented asking what his name was.  My daughter looked at my elf and thought it looked like Ron from Harry Potter.  Not being familiar with Harry Potter but knowing that she is, I decided to take her word for it.  So, Ron he is!

Now I'm not really sure what Ron is doing here.  He seems to have found my glitter ribbon for embellishing my Christmas cards - and unrolled it!  Naughty Ron!

I might have to lock my crafting supplies away so he can't get them!

Tulip in black and purple

When I was growing up we had a café on the way to one of our holiday spots called "The Black Tulip Café".  So, inspired by that I coloured the tulip black!  Actually, the café is now called "The Blue Duck Café" - not quite the same ring to it!

Beccy's Place - Day One (Coloured Pencils)

I have some of the cards for the Beccy's Place month long challenge in various stages of completion.  As it is getting near to the end of the month, I'm going to have to work hard on getting them completed and the completed ones photographed and blogged!  Hopefully, I will complete them all by month end.

Wishing you a Speedy Recovery

This is the hardest image that I have worked with.  After looking at it for a while, I thought he looked quite sick with the marks on his face - so decided to go with a Get Well card with a difference.  I'm still not that sure about the card - but I'm glad that I didn't baulk at the challenge!

Christmas Present

I combined two challenges sponsored by A Day For Daisies to create this card:

For some reason, this card just won't photograph clearly.  I have photographed it 7 times and this is the best shot (taken by my son who thought he could get it clear).  I might try and photograph it again tomorrow in natural daylight and see if that turns out any better.  It is night time here and so I need to use the flash for any photographs tonight.  All the other cards I have photographed tonight have photographed clear.

This morning's version is much better:

I used a red patterned paper from a Christmas paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  I added some glitter tape across and down the card to imitate Christmas wrapping.  The image is from A Day For Daisies and is coloured with Distress Inks.  I stamped the inks onto a tile and then wet my brush and painted the image.  The die I used to cut the image is from Spellbinders.

Pastel Thank You Card

You Passed

Both of my children are planning to sit their Learners over the Christmas holiday period - which gives them from next week through to February to get it done!  This one will probably be for my son as it is in more masculine colours so I'll have to create another for my daughter.
