Purple and Red

Today is the first day of winter and we have started the day off with heavy rain.  Mind you that is kind of to be expected when it has rained fairly consistently over the past three weeks!  A good day for doing things inside in the warm.

I have used a paper from a looseleaf paper pack.  I added some glitter cardstock from DCWV.  The image is from Cute As A Button and is coloured with copic markers.  I also added some organza ribbon, some ric rac braid, a flower piece and some red gemstones (including the one in the centre of the flower).

One Paper Layer Only

I have to admit to struggling a bit with inspiration for this one!  The theme this fortnight at Incy Wincy Designs is One Paper Layer only - and if you struggle a bit with this theme too have a look at what my fellow DT members have created here.  This challenge our sponsor is cute as a button.

I used a couple of stencils from Tim Holtz together with two colours of Distress Oxide (also a Tim Holtz product!).  The image from cute as a button is coloured with copic markers and Inktense Pencils.  I stamped a sentiment using an acrylic stamp from Clear Impressions.
