Softly Softly Falls The Snow

For this card, I started off following a sketch and optional twist, but had to drop the twist to keep the card fitting "Vintage Christmas".

Try Stampin' On Tuesday - Sketch
http://trystampinontuesday.blogspot.com/2020/11/challenge-485.html

I have used two papers from a paper pad.  The image is from WeAre3 Digital Shop and the sentiment is from Beccy's Place.  Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella.

I have followed the sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesdays:

Don't Get Your Tinsel In A Tangle

I am down to my last three cards to upload before the end of November (which is fast approaching!).  At least I think I only have three more to do.

I have used offcuts of papers used in A Month of Holiday Cards at Beccy's Place. I cut them into strips about 1cm wide and attached them on a diagonal.  The pre-coloured image and sentiment are both from Beccy's Place.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the image.

Naughty or Nice? decisions, decisions

I was sitting down and working through the last of my cards for the month and then my Mum rang me and asked if I could go and get some fish for her and drop it off.  Today is the day that the Fish Van is parked near the town I live in so off I went!  I'm back home now and trying to get some more cards uploaded if I can.  I think today is just going to be a messy day.

And yet again it is raining today.  Officially tomorrow is the start of summer - would be nice if it was a sunny day for it but I'm not holding out much hope.

The piece of patterned paper on the right of this card is a scrap from another November card.   The image is from Paperbabe Stamps and the sentiment is from Beccy's Place.  Colouring is with copic markers, Wink of Stella and Kindy Glitz.  I die-cut some stars using a die set from Memory Box.  I added one more than in the sketch as I have this thing about having odd numbers of embellishments!

This is the sketch that I followed:

With Love At Christmas

This image/sentiment is a particular favourite of mine.  When I discovered I had one printed out but not used, I saved it for this last day of the month.  I was hoping that the last day would be a Do What You Love.  While the style of the card is fairly basic, I have matted with gold and used a more elegant paper.

This card is created with left over pieces of patterned paper - but probably doesn't look like it.

I have used three offcut pieces of a double-sided patterned paper.  I placed one near the bottom of the card and the other near the top of the card.  I then turned over a narrower piece of the paper and used the reverse as a contrast piece across the card.  Because my image/sentiment goes almost across the patterned paper it may be hard to pick up the contrast piece.  The image/sentiment piece is from Beccy's Place.  Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella.  Matting is gold foil cardstock.  I added some gold stars to continue the gold.

Seasons Greetings

I had this terrific idea yesterday that I wouldn't comment from when I went to work at 2pm until this morning and hopefully foil the robot thing.  Unfortunately, it didn't work despite being 18 hours with no commenting.   So now I have heaps of cards to catch up on - and the robot thing as well.

I had some triangular scraps, which fortunately were double sided, so I had a play with them and came up with this design:

Happy Holidays

I have a number of cards to upload by the end of today.  Most of them are finished or almost finished so they will be in dribs and drabs during the day.  This was one that I had to wait until it was light enough to photograph:

Merry Christmas

I  finished another of the scrap cards today.  I still have a few more to complete - the background is done on all of them though.

There have been a few more cards added to Beccy's Challenge this afternoon that I would like to check out and comment on (where possible) but I'm going to leave that until the morning.  I'm totally over the robot thing and if I don't comment tonight I might just delay it appearing tomorrow (that is the plan anyway).

May Your Christmas be filled with Joy

I was doing some colour printing a couple of days ago and accidentally printed this paper again.  So as not to build up my pre-printed papers again (trying to reduce them), I decided to create a card with as soon as possible.

Merry Everything And A Happy Always

After a sunny day yesterday when my hubby and I went for a drive to another city a couple of hours away to pick up some stuff for our daughter, today we are back to rain.  I can't remember this much rain in late Spring before but maybe it is my memory playing tricks - and it is like this most years!

Despite taking breaks on commenting during the day today, I am still encountering the Robot thingy coming up when I push the publish button.  So, commenting is very much in dribs and drabs today instead of one big lot like I did last night (which is probably why I'm encountering the problems today as it hasn't forgotten - LOL).

Merry Christmas

I won this image recently and wanted to use it straight away.  I printed it out but it has taken me nearly two weeks to actually colour it and add it to a card!  I've been getting distracted making different card folds for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place!

Let's Get Festive

I am back to trying to reduce the number of digital papers that I printed out some time ago.  I have a feeling I printed out a lot when I was going to be away from home for a couple of weeks so that I could do some cardmaking.  I ended up printed many more than I actually needed to and am now working through them and using them on cards.

Z is for

We are now at the final letter of the alphabet for the A Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.  Unless Beccy decides to trick us this year, tomorrow's prompt should be an easy one!

I made a Double Z fold card again.  I particularly like this fold.  This year I decided to keep to the same patterned paper on both Z folds (usually I use a separate pattern on each one).   I really need to check Beccy's images and see if she has a Zebra image anywhere rather than resorting to Zoo animal!

I have hard to resort to using Face Media Colours again as I have no copic markers, Promarkers or Distress inks starting with the letter Z (not a surprise really!)

I have used the following Z items:

Z Fold Double Card - tutorial from Beccy's Place

Zoo Animal - image from Beccy's Place (Aussie Christmas)

Zenchua (Face Media colour)

Zoboba (Face Media Colour)

Zunisha (Face Media Colour)

Merry Christmas Happy New Year

I have had a morning where my commenting has been bringing up the Prove You Are Not A Robot as well as the click the pictures box.  I guess I have been doing too much commenting for it to think that I am human!  I'm going to take a break from commenting and do some other things.  But before I leave the computer for a while, I want to upload this card:

Twinkle, Twinkle, Christmas Lights

I have done a fair bit of commenting since I returned from my half day outing.  Up until the last four posts it was going well - and then I hit the Prove You Are Not A Robot thingy complete with the click the pictures as well.  So I'm now taking a break for a while and working on some cards and uploading them.

Merry Christmas

While looking through the other entries for the Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place, I came across mention of another challenge that appealed.  So I made this card for it.

https://beccysplace.blogspot.com/2020/11/day-23-t.html

I have used a plaid paper which was left over from another card that I created for Beccy's Challenge.  I die-cut a Christmas Tree using Memory Box Die 98668.  While it was still in the die, I inked it using Distress Ink Peeled Paint.  I also added some Kindy Glitz once it was removed from the die.  I added a sentiment from Teresa Collins - and used the punch outs as embellishment dots.

Y is for...

This is the first year that I haven't had to be extra creative for the letter Y as Beccy now has a tutorial for Y.  It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped so it is just as well there are no other options for Y as I really need to have another attempt at it.

I've been out all day today as I had to go and pick something up for my daughter in another city.  She lives too far away to do it herself and it wasn't able to be posted.  It was nice to have a day out - went out for lunch while I was up there.   So, this post is a bit later than it normally is and I have a few more cards that I finished yesterday that I need to write posts for and upload so it could be a busy rest of the day.  There will also be a Design Team card later on this evening.

I have used the following Y items:

Yo Yo Spinner Card - Tutorial from Beccy's Place

Young Bird - image from Beccy's Place (retired?)

Wombat

I am gradually finishing the scrap mini cards that I am making.  I have all the backgrounds done, but still have image colouring, embellishing and photographing to do for many of them.   This one uses a pre-coloured image that I printed out last November and ran out of time to do anything with.  And then I forgot about it again until November of this year.

X is for ....

This is yet another letter of the alphabet that I don't have copic markers, Promarkers or Distress Inks beginning with the letter prompt.  So for X, I have resorted to using colours from FaceMedia and matching as close as I can.

Beccy has acknowledged that this is a difficult letter to work with and to interpret it loosely, so as per previous years I have found images with an X on them (usually on a button).  Every image that I have used in this X-Fold Card has an X on it.

When I was going through the store finding the links to add them to the post, I discovered that Grumpy Goose and Finn's Bells also have an X on them.  Among the free images there is also Frank The Snowman and Snowman with Holly.  Maybe next year I can change the images I use (if I remember!).

This is another letter which unsurprisingly only has one tutorial for it, but it is such a fun card to make that I don't mind making it every year (and quite often in between as well!).  The only tricky bit with it is ensuring that the edges match perfectly otherwise it doesn't look that great when folded up - I did that the first time I made one and learned from it.

I have used the following X items:
X-Fold Card - Tutorial from Beccy's Place

X on button - image from Beccy's Place (Tied Up With String)
