I have used an image from Le'Ann's World called Beetle Bug.  My friend's first car was a red beetle so that was my inspiration for my color choice.

For A Friend

The reveal for the cards exchanged for October has been published and I am only just managing to publish my blog post for mine.

I have followed the sketch, colors, Fantasy Folk, Friendship and Use A Brush (watercolours).

I used foil card as well as patterned papers.  I'm not sure of the source of the image and I'm going to stop looking for now so that this blog post can be published.  I have finally located the image - it is from Spyder's Corner.  The sentiment is typed on the computer.  Colouring of the image is with Gansai Tambi Watercolour Paints.

This week at CHNC, the optional twist is "Non-traditional colours".  I decided to combine purple and blue with a touch of brown and yellow on the image.

Boo

 Spyder's Corner have a month long Birthday Challenge.  The theme is Anything Goes with a Spyder's Corner image.  I found a few Spyder's Corner images that I had printed out and not coloured up.  My aim is to colour as many of them as I can and enter them in the challenge!

I have used two digital papers from Spyders Corner and used the Scrappy Strip Technique to create the background.  This is a really good technique for using up scrap papers and you can used a number of them or just two like I have on the card.  

The image is from Eureka Stamps and the sentiment is from From The Heart Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers and the edges of the image and sentiment are inked with Distress Ink.
