Marble Magic

 The optional twist for the June Challenge at 12 Months of Christmas is Marble Magic.  The challenge is Anything Christmas Cards Goes.  

The colour of my photograph looks very blue but in reality this is all done in shades of purple. 

The digital paper is by Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The image is from Sandi's Samples.

Every Moment is a Fresh Beginning

Midway inspiration time at Path of Positivity Challenge.  The optional twist this month is The Power of Words - New Beginnings.

I have created a page for the new beginnings of Spring.  

I have used a digital paper from PixelScrapper (Janet Scott Kemp).  The images are from Scrap Happy Paper Crafter (two on left), Bird's Cards (rose bud) and Sandi's Samples (wheelbarrow).  Colouring is with copic markers and the inking is with Distress Ink.  I added some stickers that I recently purchased from a Japanese branded store called Daiso.  We have them in two of our major stickers and I was on holiday in one of them so went in to see what they had in stock.

I have used a paper from a christmas paper pad by Craft Smith.  The freebie image for December is from Sandi's Samples.  I coloured the image with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I also added some faux stitching, a snowman embellishment and a white snowflake.

February is such a hectic month for me.  I am now scrambling to complete the cards for the progressive challenges!

I have used a paper from a paper pad from Rosie's Studio.  The image is the freebie image from the progressive challenge at The Outlawz and is by Sandi Samples. I coloured using copic markers and then added Kindy Glitz to the heart.  The frame around the image is a Sizzix die cut from gold paper. I coloured some ribbon flowers using copic marker YR02  and added these along with some pearls to the top of the card.  I also added some dots made with Kindy Glitz under the image.

Blue Iris

I remember when my Mum used to have a garden full of these lovely blue irises.  Tastes change and she no longer has any but they do bring back some memories of my childhood.

I have used a background paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles teamed with a paper from Kaisercraft.  I added a piece of grosgrain ribbon for interest.  The image is from Sandi Huggett as part of The Outlawz Challenge and has been coloured with copic markers then matted with red cardstock.

Window and Garden Cart

I almost didn't get this card made.  It has been one of those months where a couple of extra hours here and there would have been great.   I was away for the first two weeks of the month and have spent the rest of the month trying to catch up!  Just starting to get on top of things and managed to squeeze in enough time to complete this card:

I have used a paper with dress forms on it for the background.   The image is one supplied by Sandi Huggett for The Outlawz CFC Challenge (see link above).  I used copic markers in the YR range for the colouring plus E00 for the skin tones and R59 for the hair.  I used by Bow Easy to create a bow from organza ribbon.

I have used a couple of papers from paper pads.  I know the pink one is from Kaisercraft - not so sure on the green one.  The image is one of the images for the CFC Challenge at The Outlawz Challenges.  I am a bit late in the piece with this card - should make the deadline with this one but not too sure on the other one as it is well into the 6th October here!

I have coloured using copic markers.  Put them back in the container without noting down the numbers but know I used RV04, RV02 and G82.  The leaves are possibly G17 and G14 but not entirely sure on those.  The yellow in the centre of the flowers is Stickles - Yellow over the top of a copic yellow (not sure which one though).  The flowers are hand-made using a Marianne's die and some pink scrap paper.  Matting is some pink cardstock.

The paper is an offcut from another card.  I think this one may come from Bearly Mine Designs.  The image is from Sandi's Samples as part of the challenge at The Outlawz.  I have coloured using copic markers E18, E15, E11, G14, G17, YR07, YR04, BV08, and also used Stickles - Eucalyptus.

I also added a row of rhinestones in contrasting sizes.

I printed the image and sentiment straight on to the cardstock for this card.  The iris image comes from Sandi's Samples and the sentiment from Sugar Paw Scraps.  I used a Spellbinders Labels die to cut the shape of the card.  The image has been coloured with copic markers BV02, BV000, G17, G14, Y06 with some Stickles - Yellow added to the iris.  I also added some stitching lines with a Distress Marker - Walnut Stain.

I used a couple of offcut papers to create the background - the top one with a torn edge.  The image is from Sandi's Samples and is one of two supplied for the challenge at The Outlawz Challenge.  The olive green grosgrain ribbon is from American Crafts.  I have coloured the sunflowers with copic markers and then added Glossy Accents to the centres.  Die-cutting is with Spellbinders oval die.  I have also added some corner embellishments of pearls from Sullivans.

Sometimes, it is nice to have a card that is not too fussy for those people who prefer that style of card - yes, I know a few people like that!   The paper for this card comes from a paper pad by MME called "Dolled Up".  Interesting name for a paper pad that contains a number of wood effect papers!  Anyway, back to the card - the image comes from Sandi's Samples and is one of the images provided for the latest CFC Challenge at The Outlawz (link above).  The sentiment is from Mudmaven Designs. Colouring is with copic markers W5, B23, Y02, Y35.

Here is the sketch that I followed:

I have used papers from MME and DCWV for this card.  The embossed half ovals are grey cardstock and have been embossed with a folder called "Heavy Duty" by Craft Creations.  The lace is some my mother gave me a while back which I think she has had for many years and not used.  The image is from Sandi Huggett as part of The Outlawz CFC Challenge.  I have added a Thinking of You sentiment from Sans Designs and also some buttons I got in a grab bag.
