Retro Chelsea

Another retro card to use up some of my stash:

The card is for the challenge at:
Sassy Studio Designs - FFF
http://www.papercraftplanet.com/group/sassystudiodesigns/forum/topics/fabulous-freebie-friday-1-4-13-and-challenge

I took this as another opportunity to use up some of the retro paper that I have.  I'm not sure why I bought so much of it but at least I've been able to use some of it up this fortnight!

The image is the freebie from last weekend called Cheerful Chelsea.  The matting is brown cardstock from Rosie's Studio and the retro paper is also from Rosie's Studio.

Pumpkin, Pineapple and Artichoke

Dinner time?  No, that is the colour swatch to follow at AnnaBelle Stamps:
http://annabellestamps.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/ac154.html

I thought these colours worked really well with the November freebie stamps from AnnaBelle Stamps.

If you are looking for this stamp and other freebies from AnnaBelle Stamps, you can find them here:
http://annabellestamps.blogspot.co.nz/p/monthly-freebies.html

The background has been created using a Tim Holtz tool - not sure what it is called - with a foam pad on the end of it.  I have used three colours of Distress Inks - Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Forest Moss - swirled onto the card using the tool.  The image and sentiment have been matted using a scrap of textured orange paper and then I added some pumpkin coloured rhinestones for balance.

Birthday Black White and pop of colour

This birthday card is mainly black and white with just a pop of pink:

The card is for the challenges at:
Catch the Bug - Birthday Bash

Sunday Sketch & Stamp - sketch

Glitter N Sparkle Challenge - Use a Digi
http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/challenge-15.html

The card uses the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp which can be found by following the link above.

The background paper is from a paper pad by Glitz which I have die-cut into square using a Spellbinders Die.   I have added some black glitter tape from American Crafts across the card.  The image is Pretty Puppy from Bugaboo which I have coloured using my copics.  The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Polka Doodles.  I have also added a border of pearls and rhinestones around the image.

Let it Snow

I'm getting a good start on Christmas Cards this year!

This one is for the challenge at:
Sassy Studio - Dare to Be Sassy Thursday
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/dare-to-be-sassy-thursday-159.html
CHNC - Reindeer are resting

CHNC - Anything Christmas

Love to Create - Sparkle and snowflakes
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/challenge-48-sparkle-snowflakes.html

For this card, I used an image from Sassy Studio Designs called Pin-up Snowman.  I have coloured this with copics then die-cut using a Spellbinders Labels Die.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva and I have cut this using a smaller die from the same Labels set.  The snowflakes are a Spellbinders die which I have cut using some textured cardstock I have had for a very long time.  I added some kindy glitz to the larger die-cut and also the centre of the snowflakes for some added sparkle.

Inspirational Tiger

A bit of an inspirational card this time:

The card is for the challenges at:
Trimgym - Christmas or animal theme
http://trimgymsdigistampsandimages.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/oops-nearly-forgot-here-is-january.html
Tuesday Alchemy
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/01/challenge-47-hopes-dreams-resolutions.html

I decided to go with the animal theme.  Jo had provided these lovely papers with a tiger on one of them plus previously provided this tiger image.  Originally, I was going to enter this into the challenge at CRAFT Challenge as well but realised that the brown tinges in the paper and the image were probably pushing the colour palette a bit far!

The papers are from a set called Scottish Castle from Trimgym.  The tiger image is also from Trimgym.  The sentiment that I have used comes from Desert Diva.  I have added some rhinestones to give the card a bit of bling - they actually come from two different sets from different companies I think but seem to match perfectly.

Penny Pirate

I have had this image for a couple of weeks but hadn't had a chance to use it.

As soon as I saw the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy I knew this was the right image for it:
http://seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/sketch-30-sassy-studios.html

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and is called Penny Pirate.  I have used cardstock from DCWV - Rockstar Matstack and also The Performance Cardstock Matstack.  The buttons have been cut using a Memory Box Die.  The sentiment is from Paper Dreams of Mine.  I have also added a copic coloured rose to the sentiment.

Stella Says Birthday Sketch

Day Two of the Birthday Bash:
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/week-long-bugaboo-birthday-bash.html

For today's card, we had a Stella Says Sketch to work with.

As well as following the sketch, we need to add three of something.  I have added three rhinestones to the image.  This image is from Bugaboo and is called Dandelions and Butterflies.  It works really well with this background paper from DCWV Mariposa Matstack.  The edging has been done using a Martha Steward Eyelet Lace Border punch and some glittery cardstock from DCWV.
