Crumbs

I have made a card using "Crumbs" from Avadares:

The card is for the challenges at:
Avadares Challenges - Anything with a Digi
http://avadareschallengeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-6-anything-with-digi.html
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Free for all (sketch)
http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/free-for-all-time-again.html
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2012/11/challenge-42-anything-goes.html

The background papers are from a paper pack by MME called Moments.  The papers in the pack are double sided so give much more choice!  The border strip has been cut from cardstock and then edged with a Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border punch.  The bow has been created out of some ribbon in my stash that I didn't even know I had!

Crumbs has been coloured using copic markers and then die-cut with a Spellbinders oval die.   I then edged the die-cut with some Scattered Straw Distress Ink to give it a bit of a lift.

Magical Angel Card

A mystical/magical challenge at Incy Wincy Designs:
http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/magicalmystical.html
I'm also entering this card at Tuesday Alchemy:
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2012/11/challenge-42-anything-goes.html

I had trouble deciding what fit magical and mystical and nearly didn't do this challenge this time.  Then I saw this image at Cuddlebug Cuties called Angel and wanted to use it:

I just hope that this fits the challenge - if not, I had fun with this image.

The background paper is from a paper pack by Webster's Pages.  It had a mailbox on the right hand side that I cut off as it just didn't fit the look I wanted.  I then used some apricot coloured lace in it's place.  The image has been lightly coloured using copic markers.  I just flicked a bit of colour into her hair rather than solidly colouring it - didn't stick to the lines just let it go where it wanted!  The image has been matted on to a cream glitter cardstock.  I then added some self adhesive stars from Rosies Studio.

Non-traditional Holiday Colours

As this challenge specified Holiday rather than Christmas, I decided it would be appropriate to create a New Year's card.

The card is for the challenge at Love To Create:
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-43-non-traditional-holiday.html

I have used an image from Meljens Designs Studio.  It is meant to be a 4th of July image but by colouring the hat a dark colour, it takes away the American Flag look.  When you live in NZ, sometimes you have to be a little bit more creative with American images that you really like and want to use! I just hope Melissa doesn't mind! The stars in the image reminded me of fireworks and such like for New Year's celebrations.

To add to the festive look of the card, I have also added some Glitter Tape and some self-adhesive stars.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.

Whoopsi Daisy Challenge

After a couple of bad weeks where I didn't manage to complete some challenges in time, I finally managed to complete this challenge (but not with much time to spare)!

The challenge can be found at the Whoopsi Daisy blog:
http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/use-digi.html

As this card is for a little girl, I have kept it relatively free of flower embellishments etc that are fairly fragile.  I have used some double sided background paper cut in half and then tore the edge of one side and overlaid the other piece with it.    The die-cut is a Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle.  The image comes from Whoopsi Daisy and the sentiment from Desert Diva.  I have also added a strip of American Crafts Glitter Tape.

Christmas Easel Card

I haven't made an easel card for a while so this was a nice chance to create one:

The card is for the following challenges:
Sentimental Sundays - Easel Card + sentiment
http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-130-easel-card.html
De Creatieve Zebra - snowman
http://decreatievezebra.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-39-met-sneeuwpop-with-snowmen.html
Kaboodle Doodles - Stripes and/or polka dots
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-147-stripes-andor-polka-dots.html

I have used some green cardstock for the base.  The two background papers both come from a christmas paper pack by Rosies Studio.  The image is from Spyder's Corner - coloured with copic markers and die-cut with a Spellbinders circle die.  The sentiment is from Limited Runs and has also been die-cut with a Spellbinders circle die.  I have added some mint coloured pearls and a dark green satin bow.

Christmas Buttons & Bows

The challenge at Platypus Creek this week can be found here:
http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-20-christmas-buttons-bows.html

I have used a paper with a bow on it, an image with buttons on it but also added a bow and a button:

The paper comes from a christmas paper pack by Rosies Studio.  The image comes from Platypus Creek.  I have coloured the image with copic markers to match the background paper and then cut the image out.

The wooden button nd organza ribbon used to make the bow are both from my stash.
