Non-traditional Holiday Colours

As this challenge specified Holiday rather than Christmas, I decided it would be appropriate to create a New Year's card.

I have used an image from Meljens Designs Studio.  It is meant to be a 4th of July image but by colouring the hat a dark colour, it takes away the American Flag look.  When you live in NZ, sometimes you have to be a little bit more creative with American images that you really like and want to use! I just hope Melissa doesn't mind! The stars in the image reminded me of fireworks and such like for New Year's celebrations.

To add to the festive look of the card, I have also added some Glitter Tape and some self-adhesive stars.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.
