The current challenge at Sassy Studio Designs - Dare to be Sassy Thursday is Anything but a card:
http://sassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/dare-to-be-sassy-thursday-153.html
I have decided to add another page to my calendar that I am making for Christmas:
And here is a closer look at the picture:
Of course, I am going to have to speed things up quite a bit to get it finished by Christmas as I'm only up to February!
I have used a background image from Sassy Studio Designs along with the image Ballroom Sassy. The background and the image work so well together. I have coloured both the image and the background using copic markers. Not quite happy with some of the colouring of the background but not sure how to improve it either so it is staying as it is!!!!
Now, I need to get thinking about March!
I am also entering this in the challenge at Paper Craft Planet.

Study Owl
Here is a very studious owl card:
I'm not sure yet whether I am going to use this as a Thank You card for one of my son's teachers or for a Congratulations card for him!
The card is for the challenge at:
Meljens Designs Studio - sketch
http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-138-sketch-challenge.html
I have used a background paper from a paper pack. I have added some grey ribbons and some black diamond shaped rhinestones. The image is from Meljens Designs Studio, coloured with copic markers and die cut using Spellbinders.

Trim the Tree
I really like the pretty colours of this card:

Thank You Flowers
I have created a Thank You card for the challenge at Milk Coffee:
http://milkcoffeechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/thanksgiving-thankful-thank-yous.html
The card uses an image from Milk Coffee called Birthday 1. I have teamed this with some pretty background paper from a paper pack, a collated flower using pieces from a couple of different sets and a pearl centre. The sentiment comes from Desert Diva.

Across the Miles
I have a few people that I need to send a card for that are Across the Miles - actually they possibly should have already been sent! Here is one of them that will go in the mail shortly!
The card is for the challenge at Freshly Brewed Challenges:
http://freshbreweddesigns.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/fbc-124-across-miles.html
and for the one at de Creatieve Zebra
http://decreatievezebra.blogspot.co.nz/2012/12/challenge-40.html
As this has to be sent to the other side of the world, I have kept the embellishments fairly flat. I have added some glitter to the snowflakes on the background paper. The image is from Freshly Brewed Designs.

Holiday Shopper
For some reason, I couldn't get the actual blogpost link so here is a link to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog:
http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.nz/
The other challenge that I will be entering the card into is:
http://brokenboxstock.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-15-happy-holidays.html
Here is the sketch:
And here is the card that I created from this sketch:
I have used background papers from a paper pack. I have added some glitter tape and a bell on a ribbon. I was actually searching for a tree embellishment and came across this one and decided it was better.
The image is from Broken Box Stock and is called Holiday Shopper Toodle.

Oh Scrap
A scrap challenge at Shelly's Images:
http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/oh-scrap.html
I like the idea of using up my scraps so joined in for this one with this creation:
And this is some of what I started with (didn't use all of it and some of the scraps were buried below others):
The image fit perfectly over the area on the blue hiding the oval already cut out! I didn't end up using the orange one but used the nutcracker one. I also used that strip of glitter cardstock with the hole in it (for hanging it on the rack in the shop). I placed this across the card under the image so again the hole is hidden. The glitter button that I used is leftover from another card. I have a Memory Box die that cuts four different sized buttons at once - so I end up with leftovers!
I have used an image from Shelly's Images called Christmas Eve. I have coloured the image using copic markers and then cut into a rectangle before rounding the corners with a Carl Craft corner rounder punch. Not sure that you can still buy these punches but I love this one and use it often.
