Things with Wings and Ink

I made my own background for this card using a couple of cat's eyes pigment ink pads.

I used a white card blank and then used the direct to paper technique of applying the ink from  ColorBox cat's eye ink pads - Ochre and Cocoa.  I also used a shaving brush to stipple some of the same ink pad in the gaps in between.  The edge of the card is inked with the ochre one.  I used some cream cardstock for the layering.  The image is from Whoopsi Daisy and has been coloured with copic markers.  I have added Stickles - Crystal to the wings.  Somehow the addition of stickles to the wings makes them look more fairy like!  The embellishment is another of the Pacific Style embellishments that I bought yesterday.  I only bought three different ones but I think I might go back and see what else they have.
