This time I have made a card with a non-traditional halloween image. Sometimes, I like to do that and I hope that the designer doesn't mind too much! It's great to be able to see if you can pull it off.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Fresh Brewed Designs - Sweet not Spooky Halloween

I was originally going to create a card using this image for the challenge last week but someone stole last week! Somehow it is this week and the challenge had closed! When I saw the challenge for this week, I looked at the sweet on the top of the house and thought about using this image for this challenge. Once I went down that train of thought, I had to give it a go and see if it worked. I'm so happy with how it turned out. I did have to cut off the presents to remove the Christmas look there but otherwise the choice of colours has been used to Halloween it!
The sketch is from Seems a little sketchy. I started with a black card blank to give the card more of a Halloween feel to it. The background paper is from Bearly Mine Designs. The border panel is some black glitter cardstock from DCWV which I have edged punched with a Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border punch. The overlay on this piece is some paper from DIY and Digital Designs. The orange scallop oval is from a scrap paper pack and die-cut using Spellbinders. The bat comes from Digi Stamp Boutique and the Boo sentiment from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.
Thank you so much for sharing the link to this post Suze. Your card turned out great and it is so cool that you were able to use my sentiment. I'm planning on creating a card gallery for people who have used my images and I'd love to be able to post your card in it. Let me know if that is okay and I'll just come back and copy your card, post it in the gallery, and create a link to your blog. I also am very appreciative of the fact that you took notice and used the accent in my name when letting people know where the sentiment came from. Not many people would be that observant, so thanks for that.
