Sweet Blue Tia

The challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday can be found here:
http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.co.nz/2012/10/sweet-sketch-wednesday-174_3.html

After being away in Wellington with my son's swimming all last week, I'm still playing catch-up and I'm only just getting this card submitted in time!

After making a card using small pieces of 5 different Bearly Mine Designs papers, I had a fair bit of each left over.  So, I have used two of them on this card, although one of them is a bit hard to see as the flower embellishments have kind of taken over!  The image is one from Some Odd Girl and is called Elf Kaylee.  I have coloured her up to match the background papers.  The ribbon is from American Crafts and is a grosgrain ribbon.  The sentiment is an acrylic stamp (brand unknown) and has been embellished with some green rhinestones from Kaisercraft.

Oops, nearly forgot to include the sketch!!
Okay, off to comment on the challenge post now before the deadline!

  2. Hi Suze, I love your card and your cute image and very pretty design papers and embellishments. You've been in Wellington with your son for swimming is that Wellington New Zealand? I'm a Kiwi based in Pukekohe Auckland New Zealand and my son also swims he's just turned 13. Take care and thanks so much for joining us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

  3. Hi Suze, thanks so much for your lovely comments. Liam isn't swimming competitively any more. He did swim for Pukekohe but he now goes to Boarding School in Hamilton and is swimming for St Paul's club now just for fitness. He's at Southwell school and will be at St Paul's next year for year 9. My other son also swims and he is in Year 6. Where do you live in NZ? Take care and have a great weekend and least the weather is warming up and getting better.
