Merry Christmas

My Craft Roulette for Week 242.

and this is the card partly open

This is the prompts

I have made a Gatefold card with Crumpled paper on this inside.  I used a die-cut for the fence and my produce aisle colours are the colours of dragonfruit, blueberries and Beurré Bosc pears.

Let's Get Festive

This is the other half over the washi tape background from yesterday.  I die-cut a different border from the same set as yesterday.  The design is inspired by a tutorial by Lea Lawson at the Scrapbooking Fun Summit earlier this month.

It's Santa Time

Today is our third non-alphabetical prompt at Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards.  For this one, the prompt is Black and White plus one other colour.  I just so happened to have a scrap in my stash from an earlier card this month that fitted with that so my colour was easy to choose.

I had hoped to get another couple of cards uploaded today as well as this one but time got away on me.  I may still get at least one of them uploaded as it is still a couple of hours before I need to head to bed.  Otherwise, they will get done in the morning.

This is the sketch that I loosely followed:

I changed out the straight cross piece for a shaped piece and also changed out the leaves for circles.

Merry Christmas

I should be in bed by now but when I went to bed, my head was full of the information from my Sign Group today.  I am gradually learning Sign Language but it is a bit of a slog.  Today was another week with an overload of information and I just couldn't get to sleep so I have got up again and hoping I can quieten my mind soon.

This is the first of a few cards I'm going to make with two similar sketches.  I printed out a couple of pages of the backgrounds plus a sheet containing several images and several sentiments.  All of the designs, papers, images and sentiments are from a tutorial by Sassy's LLC at the Stress Free Cardmaker's Summit.

Polar Bear

This is another card from the Cardmaker's Christmas Summit.  I coloured along with Alyce Keegan for this image.  I still need a lot of practice but I'm quite pleased with how this turned out.  I have a number of partially completed cards from Summits that still need to be completed.  I decided to mat the image and then mount on to a white card blank.  I debated whether to add a sentiment but decided against it as I didn't want to detract from my colouring.

'Tis The Season

Day 23 of the Month of Holiday Cards at Beccy's Place.  Time for another Tutorial from Beccy's Place that I haven't Tackled before.

With the lighting that I have at the moment, I photograph the cards with them standing up.  This one really needed the photo of the card closed taken from above but that way I get terrible shadows.  So, this is the sort-of closed photo of the card

and opened showing the inside.

Merriest Wishes

Wrapped In Love

I'm back to a card inspired by one of the recent summits.  This one is hand drawn and then watercoloured.  As someone whose drawing consists of stick figures I'm really proud of this.  After colouring the gifts, I outlined them with a Black Pigment Liner.

Colouring is with Tansai Gambi Watercolour Paints.   The image design comes from a tutorial by Laurel Beard from the Stress Free Cardmakers Summit.  The sentiment is also from Laurel Beard.

Merry Christmas

I posted a card yesterday that had the centre die-cut out of it.  This is what I came up with for the die-cut.  In the summit, Jess had left the images uncoloured but I decided to use the lightest pink, green and yellow copic markers on the images that I chose to use.

This is another summit card similar to the one yesterday.  I flipped over one of the patterned pieces to use the reverse side as a background for the image.  This one is inspired by a tutorial by Jess at the Cardmaker's Success Summit.  The original intention on yesterday's card was to have the reverse of this one - except I glued the wrong side of the cross pieces.  I left this one until today and took more care with it.

I intend to create another card using the die-cut piece from the centre but not entirely sure what I am doing as yet.

Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year

I had intended on spacing out the uploading of the cards today as my eyes can't take too long sitting in front of a screen. Unfortunately, some other things came up during the day so I can't avoid uploading them around the same time.  I'll probably pay the price for uploading a few cards in close succession.  This one closes overnight so I can't leave it until the morning.

2024 Christmas Countdown 1

Last year I created a Christmas Countdown made of various shapes that I was struggling to get finished before the date came up in December.  This year I am starting earlier in the hope that it is completed before December 1st.

The idea is that at the end of December 1st, you bring done the 1 and record on the back what you did that day.  You continue doing this until you reach Christmas Day.

This is the first five for 2024:
