Greens and Browns of Autumn

 After finishing this card, I'm not sure that it is quite the Autumn colours I intended.  I decided to work with just green and brown but it is now looking more green than anything else.  I've had it "finished" for a few days and have been thinking about it.  Now, I'm tempted to add yellow but I'm going to upload it before I do that and it doesn't work.

Tis The Season

 I have been having issues with hayfever most of today.  My own fault for sitting at the Gardens for 4 hours without a mask on!  I won't be doing that again in a hurry.  I wish I knew what was actually triggering the hayfever as it would make it easier to know when I absolutely do need to wear a face mask.

I've been feeling a little better this afternoon although still sneezing.  I didn't feel like doing much in the way of housework (it is a bit of an effort at the best of times) so I made another Christmas card.

Summer Time

Definitely not summer time here at the moment.  I can't remember Spring being as wet and windy as it has been this year.  Despite no sun today, I got my washing dry in just over an hour as the wind was so strong (and fortunately no rain in that time).  I think the rain isn't too far away though.

I have followed a tutorial for a Scrappy Strip Technique background.  I am loving this technique for using up all my smaller bits of digital papers.  In this case, I had already coloured the horse and discovered that I had a number of smaller pieces of paper that co-ordinated with it.   The striped paper is from When The Scrap Hits The Fun

The image is from Hetty Clare Art and is called Pony Plait.  Colouring of the image is with copic markers.  I added a sentiment from My Sugar Paper but I'm not sure of the sources of the other two papers.

Relax

This is something I would like to be doing - but we are in the 2 weeks into a lockdown period.  At the moment, it is scheduled to be for four weeks and then some restrictions may be lifted in some or all areas.  The decision on that won't be made until 20th April.  By then, it definitely won't be beach weather - so something to look forward to next summer.

The image is from Hetty Clare Art and the sentiment is handwritten.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I die-cut the image using an octagon die from Spellbinder and inked the edges using Distress Ink. I then folded some cardstock and then cut using the same die being careful not to cut the fold and adhered the image to the front.

I have managed to use up some more items from my Awaiting Crafting boxes - two digital papers and a sentiment.  Each little bit helps - I need to keep telling myself that as I'm not seeing the pile get smaller as it is so big in the first place.

I have used two digital papers - the plaid one is from Doodle Pantry but I'm not sure of the source of the other one.  I covered the join between the papers with some grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.  The image is from Hetty Clare Art and the sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I inked the edges of the image and sentiment with Distress Ink before matting on cream cardstock.  I added a mix of flowers as embellishments.
