Halloween is getting closer!  Time to start working on Halloween crafts and cards!

I have used a paper from a christmas paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  The image is from Nikki Burnette and is coloured with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I thought she looked like she needed something to sit on so I added an embellishment that to me looked like a box.  I also added some blue glittery foam stars.  Matting is red cardstock.

Golds and Browns

I decided to use up some of my offcut pieces for this card.  I discovered that I had alot in a gold or brown colour scheme so took that as my starting point for this card.

I have used a paper from a paper pad from Kaisercraft.  The other pieces are offcuts from other cards - not sure of the paper pads they came from but I know at least 2 of them are Rosie's Studio.  The image is from Nikki Burnette and is coloured with copic markers.  All layers have been matted with some metallic gold paper.

Golden Christmas

I went with gold and mint green with this one. I chose the colours and then had to find a paper to go with them.  Not always the best way round of doing things but it worked out okay this time!

Something Magical at Incy Wincy Designs

Time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs and this time our theme is Something Magical.  We are sponsored for this challenge by Nikki Burnette.

For my card, I used an image from Nikki Burnette called Rowena Version 2.

I used the spotlight technique for this card - drawing attention to my magical figure!  I coloured with copic markers, matted with some brown paper, added some pearls from Rosies Studio and a topper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.

Lovely and Bright

Yesterday, we had two deaths in the family - one on my side and one on my husband's side.  Neither were in the best of health, but we thought they would both be around for a while yet.  So, this morning I have created something using my two favourite colours of yellow and orange and teamed them with some bright pink and red to uplift my spirits a bit.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by We R Memory Keepers.  I sprayed a white doily with some Dylusions Ink.  The image is from Nikki Burnette and is coloured with copic markers.  I also added a die-cut floral embellishment using a Tattered Lace die and some orange cardstock along with a red butterfly button embellishment from Michaels and some red rhinestones.

Softness in Pastel

There is a real soothing softness in pastel colours.  At the moment I'm still fighting this chest infection that I have so it is soothing to create something in pastels.  Mind you, I did have a bit of trouble finding embellishments in pastel shades - it is amazing how much I have in bright cheery colours!

I have used a foil snowflake patterned paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The border strip and sentiment are also fromt that paper pad.  The image is from Nikki Burnette and has been coloured with copic markers with some Stickles added to the wings.  Matting is silver glitter cardstock from American Crafts.  I die-cut a snowflake using a die from Spellbinders and some pink glitter cardstock from DCWV and added this to the card along with some silver and pink pearls and a snowflake shaped brad.
