Many Thanks

I am still on a quest to reduce my "Awaiting Crafting" boxes.  This time I used three papers from the digital papers box and a sentiment from the sentiment box.

I have used 3 digital papers.  I am not sure of the source of the blue one or the stripe one but the one with words on it is from Bearly Mine Designs.  The image is from Sheepski Designs but I'm not sure of the source of the sentiment.

I followed the sketch at Creative Sketchy Girls - although I just noticed that I put the blue piece in the wrong place.  You can tell I was a little on the tired side when I put the pieces together.

First Day Of School.

Some of our schools started back this week with the rest going back next week.  Inspired by that I created a back to school card.  I also managed to use a digital paper, image and sentiment from my "Awaiting Crafting" boxes.  I still have a lot to work through but each little bit helps.

Thank You So Much

I am still working through my rather large pile of digital paper, digital images and digital sentiments that I printed out some time ago.  This card has used a digital paper and a digital sentiment so I'm still slowly making progess.

I grew up in a back section.  Along the drive to get back to the house, we had a lot of different colours of fuchsia.  I never counted them but there must have been at least 10.

I followed a tutorial for a Joy Fold Card from Beccy's Place.

Christmas Owl

I am really pleased with how this card turned out - what I could visualise in my head actually came to fruition.  I'm hoping that it meets the brief for the challenge at Marianne's Designs as the Google Translate version differed from the piece written in English.  I have followed the Google Translate (to English) version.

For A Friend

I didn't think that I was going to have the time to join in with the challenge at Crafty Sentiments this week.  However, I woke up at 2.30am feeling really hot and couldn't get back to sleep so I got up.  As my unit touches two neighbouring units, I can't do anything noisy so cardmaking was perfect.

I wish I had more of this in my garden - and less of the weeds.  It has been alternating hot and wet for a while so the weeds are growing vigourously.

Manly Male

I am still working on reducing the number of digital papers, images and sentiments that I had printed out and failed to use.  For this card, I used two different digital papers along with an image.  I really feel I might be starting to make some progress although the pile doesn't seem to be getting any smaller.

Christmas Cat

This week at CHNC, our optional theme is "No Sentiment".

I have used a digital paper and an image from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I also inked around the image shape with Distress Ink - Fired Brick.  I added a santa hat embellishment.

I followed the sketch at Stella Says Sketch but substituted an embellishment for the sentiment so that it fits the challenge theme.

With Sympathy

I needed a Sympathy card over the Christmas period and discovered that I didn't have any.  I had this image in the box of printed images that I am trying to actually use.  The sentiment is out of the box of printed sentiments that I am also gradually using.  It was perfect for creating a Sympathy card to put aside in case it is needed.

Sewing Bear

I started this card some time ago.  I had the image printed out and paper clipped to the paper - and that is as far as it had got!  My energy levels weren't that good today (I should have been doing some tidying up around home) so I worked on some cards.

Here is the sketch that I followed:

Despite being a follower of the Carlin's Map Paradise blog since almost the start of it, my name isn't showing against my picture (there is also one other whose photo appears that is the same).  I tried unfollow and then follow to see if it would fix it.  All it did was shift the location of it but the name still doesn't appear when you hover over it.  Here is a picture of what appears when I look at the Carlin's Map Paradise blog:

Unless I hear to the contrary, I will try and remember to add this every month when I enter the challenge.  I can't think of any other way to prove that I am a follower.

Success Is A Journey not a Destination

We are at the midway stage of the Character Traits Challenge at Path Of Positivity.  The challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and Scribbles Designs.

For the midway, I have worked with a different character trait of mine - and that is determination.  I have a very determined attitude toward improving my swimmers' technique.  I have used a retired image from Bugaboo Stamps called Beach Frog Swimming.  The sentiment is Success Quote from Scribbles Designs.

I also  used a digital paper from Publikado. Colouring is with copic markers.

Thanks for Everything

After being away for over a week, I had alot of commenting and e-mails to catch up on.  However, I decided that I should put aside a bit of time for crafting and this is the result:

Cardstock - Quinacridone
Paper - Queen Pink
Butterfly - Quicksilver

The butterfly is also on the inside.  The quote and the quartz gems are on the outside of the card.  I followed the tutorial for Quarto Fold Version 1.

Life Is Sweet

This month we are having weekly challenges as part of the 5th Anniversary Celebrations at Lil Patch Of Crafty Friends.  As per usual, our challenge theme is Anything Goes.  This week, we are sponsored by Morgan's Artworld.

I have used an image from Morgan's Artworld called Old Roses.

And this is a closer view of the image and embellishments

Thanks to one of my comments I realised that I had inserted the wrong image.  I have now corrected that mistake.

Colouring of the image is with copic markers and Wink Of Stella.  I added some star stickers, as well as some embellishments from an embellishment pack.
