The background paper for this card comes from a paper pad by American Crafts called Neopolitan.  The image is Sugar Plum Fairy from Pixie Dust Studio.   I have die-cut this using a Spellbinders Die.
The sentiment is from Create with TLC.  I have cut it using a tag die from Spellbinders and then threaded through some yellow grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts.  I have added some bling to her crown, flower in her hair and the card itself.  I couldn't find small enough yellow bling so I used clear and coloured it using my yellow copic.

I had some difficulty with the colours as I really only have two favourite colours - yellow and orange.  I team these with red for the third colour - there is also some brown as a neutral colour.

I decided the colour scheme for this card from the sentiment from Decossé's Dynamite Doodles.

The card uses background paper from a paper pad by MME called Moments.  The colours matched the sentiment perfectly.  I then coloured the Sugar Plum Fairy image using the same colour palette.  The sentiment has been die-cut using a ribbon banner die-cut from Spellbinders.  I have added three snowflakes (also a Spellbinders die) to the top of the card with some matching pearls in their centres.

This card may be a bit of a push for Tuesday Alchemy but looking at the image she looks like she is hoping for something or dreaming of something.   I really like this card and want to show it off!

Spa and Bubbles

Having just purchased some new dies - some just coz I liked the look of them - I had to start using them before they stayed in their packets for ages!  Here is one of them:

I bought this one as I liked the honeycomb effect.  Then when I got it home I wondered whether it was such a clever purchase! However, I like how it has come up on this card so will no doubt use it again.

Actually, the embellishments are all fairly recent purchases too.  I was pleased when I found the silver ribbon roses and discovered that as long as you didn't use a light coloured copic marker you could change the colour but still retain the shimmer effect.

Non-traditional Xmas Sugar Plum Fairy

The paper that I have used for this card comes from Bearly Mine Designs.  The image is Sugar Plum Fairy from Pixie Dust Studios.  I have added a snowflake, buttons and grosgrain ribbon as embellishments.

All about Gingerbread

I wanted to use a Pixie Dust image and the one that I won two challenges back still hasn't arrived so I have gone with one that I had on file.  It had food in it which ties in with the gingerbread paper - perhaps it is a gingerbread cupcake!

Anyway, the background paper is one from Bearly Mine Designs featuring some cute gingerbread people.  The image is from Pixie Dust Studio and is called Pixie Celebrates.  I have coloured the image with copic markers and die-cut using a Spellbinders Beaded Oval Die.  I have added some pearls to the card.

A new challenge

While looking at the various freebies listed on Free Digital Stamps blog, I came across this challenge:

I liked the image and the colour scheme for the challenge so decided to give it a go.

I have used a bubble paper from TLC Creations.  The image and sentiment have been die-cut using different sized Spellbinders Large Circles.   I have placed these on the card to mimic the bubbles on the backing paper.  The sentiment is the one provided by Pixie Dust Studios for this challenge and has been coloured using my copic markers.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.  I have added some Glossy Accents to the bubbles in the digi.
