Friends are Forever

We are at the midway point of the June Challenge at Path of Positivity.  The optional twist for this month is "Inspired by a Pattern".  My inspiration came from an animal print - giraffe.  I love the patterns on giraffe and how at first glance they look the same but on closer inspection they are all unique.

I have used a giraffe skin patterned paper by Create with TLC.  The images are from unknown (top one), Doodle Dragon Studio (bottom one) and Cruzine (right one).  If anyone recognises the top one, please leave a comment as to whose image it is.

I also added some tree stickers, vellum and a chipboard sentiment and banner.  Coloring is with copic markers.

The Lion, The WItch and The Wardrobe

We are at the start of the April Challenge at The Path of Positivity.  This month's optional twist is "Inspired by Literature"  which can be a book, a poem or a magazine.

This is one book from my childhood that has stuck in my mind so that was my inspiration for this journal page.

I also used a digital paper from PixelScrapper.  The images are from Doodle Dragon Studio (lion), Sassy Studio Designs (witch) and The Paper Shelter (wardrobe)

Coloring is with copic markers.  The title is typed on my laptop.

Summer Time!

The Challenge for October at Path of Positivity is Celebrate Your Favourite Season.  There are things that I like about both Autumn and Summer and I couldn't decide which was my favourite.  After showcasing Autumn for the start of the challenge, I have moved on to Summer for the Midway Inspiration.

I have used a digital paper.  The images are from Doodle Dragon Studio, Sami Stamps and Neat and Tangled (from top to borrom) and the sentiment is from Trimgym.  Colouring is with copic markers.

Wolfie New Year

I made this and another card for the CRAFT Challenge.  I was still deciding whether to add anything more to the other one as the challenge still had 20 hours left to run.  Then I saw the winners post come out before the close of the challenge.  I decided I would upload them anyway even though they don't even have a chance of winning!!!

I am entering the cards into the following challenges:

I added some white mesh ribbon and a string of rhinestones and pearls.  A bit of Stickles to accent the hat and snow.

You Did It - Congratulations

This card could be used to celebrate any achievement.  I'm hoping to use it for my son's exams this year - unless something else crops up in the meantime that needs a congrats card!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Trimgym - Anything Goes
http://trimgymsdigistampsandimages.blogspot.co.nz/2013/07/august-challenge-anything-goes.html

I have used a background paper from Trimgym for this card.  The image comes from Doodle Dragon Studios.  I have coloured with copic markers - forgot to write the numbers down though!  I have added glitter to the wings as well as the top and bottom edges of the Spellbinder die.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.  I have added a flower from Craftworks (had it for years!) and some leaves using a Marianne's Designs die.  I have also added a bit more sparkle in the form of rhinestones.  The grosgrain ribbon is from American Crafts.

Looking to upload the challenges, I am not entirely sure that this fits The Outlawz Challenge - I missed the bit in the write up that said "Christmas in July".  However, she could be a Christmas fairy?  Still, the colours are right and the twist is there.  I'll possibly give this to a girl who is too old for Santa images (thinks they are baby-ish) and too young for traditional scene images and the like.

Colour Inspiration

A colour inspired card:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
CDAC - Inspiration Photo
http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/inspiration-challenge-group

For this card, I used some fabulous paper from Trimgym together with an equally fab image from Doodle Dragon Studio.  I used matching copics to colour the image - of course I forgot to write down which ones I used - I know G99 and G94 are in there and probably B000 but beyond that I'm guessing (possibly some in the W range too).  I really should keep them aside and write them down straight away but that would be being organised - something that I'm not!

I wish we had the weather to be chillin' at the beach - chilled at the beach would be more like it today!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Best Dad

I have used a sentiment on this card that could be interpreted as a Thank You, Happy Father's Day or Happy Birthday.  Keeps the card versatile - although unless I get stuck for a card at some other point it will probably used for Father's Day in September.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
CRAFT Challenge - Fathers Day/Male
http://trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/craft-challenge-209-fathers-daymale.html
Love to Create - Father's Day
http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/06/challenge-68-fathers-day-or-special-guy.html

I have used a paper from MME - I think this side is meant to be the reverse but it was the side I preferred!  I had written on the back of this image that it was from Doodle Dragon Studios but then when I looked at it I didn't think so.  I just checked my folder of Doodle Dragon Studios images and it is not there - so not sure whose image it is!  If anyone recognises it, could they please leave me a comment and I'll correct my post!  However, on the positive side, I do know that the sentiment is from Digital Doodling.

The matting is blue paper from a scrap paper pack and I have added a metal dragonfly embellishment.
