Merry Christmas

This week's optional theme at CHNC is "For A Child"

I have used a paper from a christmas paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps.   COlouring is with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I also used some scrap pieces of cardstock to die-cut the circles.  I added some puffy sticker gifts and a sparkly reindeer embellishment.

I followed the sketch at Stella Says Sketch.

You Are A Wonderful Friend - Thank You

I bought a whole heap of cat themed dies from Memory Box a couple of weeks ago and this is the perfect opportunity to use one of them.  I like the size of this one as the cats only stand about 1cm tall.

I feel like I'm starting to get back on top of things and having time to craft again when I can manage to enter two challenges with this card that I haven't entered for a couple of months.

I would like to enter:
Ching-Chou Kuik - Cats and/or Dogs

Show Us Your Pussies - Furrything Goes
https://showusyourpussies.blogspot.com/2019/04/show-us-your-pussycats-challenge-41.html

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  I added some bright pink velveteen ribbon  The image is from Ching-Chou Kuik and is coloured with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Anji's Antics.  Matting is purple cardstock.  I die-cut the cuts using a pearlescent paper.  It kind of looks like it is one cat walking, stopping and then going up on her back paws.

25

There is something quite timeless about gingham.  I wanted to keep this fairly so the background is as subtle as I could manage. Fortunately the other half of the gingham paper was subtle.

Frosty

I have been doing some tidying of my craft things and discovered a box of images that I had printed out some time ago that haven't been made into cards.  The image for this card was one of them:

I would like to enter:

Christmas Kickstart - Frosty and Friends
https://christmaskickstartchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/04/the-christmas-kickstart-challenge-8.html

I have used three papers from Trimgym.  I had originally had the papers on the three square layers.  However, after I added the two ribbons on the edges and then went to layer the card, I discovered that I had completely covered the second paper.  To avoid starting all over, I decided to cover the top of the triangle part of the image with the second paper.  It worked a treat as it also took away alot of the whiteness of the image die cut!  The image is also from Trimgym and is coloured with a combination of copic markers, Kindy Glitz and Wink Of Stella.  I die cut two snowflakes from glitter cardstock to take the place of the flowers in the sketch.

I followed this sketch:

Well Done!

I printed this image out a few weeks ago and then got really busy with work and it has just sat there waiting for me to get back to it.  This week's theme at Crafty Sentiments was perfect for it!

I would like to enter:
Crafty Sentiments - Just For The Boys

The paper that I have used is from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Crafty Sentiments.  Colouring is with copic markers.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.  I double matted the image with beige and green cardstocks.  I also adde some stars.

Best Memories

Here is my inspiration for the mid month Anything Goes challenge at Lil Patch Of Crafty Friends.  The sponsor for this challenge is Lemon Shortbread.

I have used an image from Lemon Shortbread called Girl With Book.

I have also used a digital paper from AMB Illustrations.  I added some embellishments from an embellishment pack from Rosie's Studios.

Merry Christmas

This week at CHNC, the optional theme is Include a House or other building.  I have used part of a house in the image I chose.  I like that this is only part of a house - leaves the rest to my imagination!

I have used an image from Bugaboo Stamps called Steps Christmas.

I also used a house themed christmas paper from a christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft.  Colouring is with copic markers.  The sentiment is also from Bugaboo Stamps.  I used some offcut pieces of cardstock to die-cut the circles.  I added some glitter gems to finish.

I followed the sketch at Stella Says Sketch.

Thinking Of You

I found a challenge yesterday that I have never entered before and thought that as I have a bit more time on my hands, I'd have a go at it.  I enjoyed the challenge of so many elments so will probably try and join in with this one more often.  I think I have used all the elements on the wheel but I might be a bit wrong with some of the colours.

I would like to enter:
Butterfly Challenge - Letter E

Stella Says Sketch - Sketch
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/2019/04/stella-says-sketch-challenge-708.html

I have used  a textured cardstock for the base of the easel card.  I die-cut a piece of the card using a Spellbinders die with a fancy edge for the stopper.  I die-cut some butterflies using Memory Box dies and added two of them to the stopper.  I also added three flower gems to the lower part of the easel.

For the top part of the easel, I followed the sketch at Stella Says Sketch.  I embossed a piece of white cardstock using a butterfly themed embossing folder.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and the sentiment from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  I also added another butterfly (from the ones that I die-cut).  The two smaller pieces of paper have been die-cut from offcuts from other cards.  The purple one is from Rosie's Studio but not sure of the source of the blue one.

My laptop keeps missing characters as I'm typing.  I'm going back and fixing them but I'm bound to miss a few so if something looks weird it will be missing a letter or two.

This month, our theme at Path Of Positivity is Happiness and we are now at the midway point of the challenge.  We are sponsored by Limited Runs and Scribbles Designs.

May Your Day Bloom With Happiness

After several weeks of little or no crafting time, I am now back to having enough time to have a play with my crafting supplies.  I created this card following a sketch to help me kickstart my creativity.  I actually followed the sketch fairly closely which I often don't!

I am fairly certain that the image that I have used is from Createful Heart Designs but couldn't find it in the Zibbet store to link it up.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft for the background.  The contrast piece is an offcut from another card (not sure of the origin of this one).  The image that I have used is called Hummingbird Morning Glory from Createful Heart Digis.  I also added some buttons from my stash.

April 2020 Calendar Page

I am starting a desktop calendar for 2020 - working a bit ahead!  I'm starting with April rather than January as the image I'm using is an Easter one.  This project is for the Anything Goes Challenge at Lil Patch Of Crafty Friends.  The sponsor for this challenge is Fred She Said.

I have used a pre-coloured image from Fred She Said called Easter Chicky.

I have also used a calendar template from print-a-calendar.com.  I added a leaf spray and three flower embellishments.

We are looking for some more crafters to join our craft tea so there is also a DT call on the Lil Patch Of Crafty Friends blog.

Happy

1st April

This month at Path Of Positivity, our theme is "Happiness".  I have a couple of things that make me think Happy.  The first one that I am going to showcase in my first card this month is Movies.  I have a relatively stressful job, so it makes me Happy to go to the movies and be able to relax for a while.  It helps that the staff at the movie theatre are really friendly too.

The sponsors for the month of April are Limited Runs and our ongoing sponsor Scribbles Designs.

I have used an imagie from Limited Runs called "Movie Cupcake".

I also followed a tutorial from Beccy's Place for a Spring Fold Card.  The papers that I added are from Lozzy.  Colouring of the image is with copic markers and Wink Of Stella.  I added a sentiment cut using a die from Marianne's Designs as well as a couple of star shaped gems.
